Milky in 2005 this behavior wasn't so common from my experience. It has gotten worse. Everyone I know who has flat hunted in this year has had this issue. My friends got rejected again today for two flats offering for example 2200 on a 2400 listing. Both of those flats have been empty for 3 months or so and the owners won't budge on price. It's mental.

As delphiandomine said it is about pride and that pride costs them money. I am not a Poland basher but this pride along with **** ideas of customer service are the things I really hate about Poland. Both of them cause more problems for both sides and it is just illogical and unnecessary.

I have had this happen multiple times. CarreFour lost a router I bought and after a month with no clue where it was they gave me credit for a new one after I argued for about an hour...I think he honestly wanted me to just say "oh ok" and leave with nothing. iSpot (Apple shop) sold me a faulty from the box hard drive and wouldn't take it back after 2 hours...said I had to send it to service. I ended up getting it handled through the manufacturer directly and swore to never shop in an iSpot again. They said "we just sell them" and acted like they had no responsibility at all as a retailer. It's criminal.

Things don't break more here...it's just that in most developed nations shops replace things that are bad within a reasonable time frame. Here everything "goes to service" even if you bought it and opened it right then to find it not working. Polish customer service is horrid by any standard and it rooted in the cultural behavior of not taking responsibility or admitting fault.

I am looking for a new place as this one is far too loud. And it's not normal city noises which I am used to...it's idiot people noises. In the day it's the old ladies and old drunks....in the afternoon it's the school kids...at night the teenagers and drunks. And in the morning it's the trash trucks who against all logic drag the bins out toward the flats and their balconies to empty them instead of on the road side where the businesses would block the noise. A lot of flats are for rent and sale around here and I see why.

There has always been a 10pm to 6am noise curfew to my knowledge but it's impossible to enforce until after the fact. I get that people want to hang out and have fun...but to act like that when there are hundreds of people in earshot trying to sleep is just selfish and pathetic. I have had nieghbors remodel flats at all hours, have 30min chats in the hall outside my door etc. I don't know if it's just my building/area or if it's become less polite in general here.

I don't care if they have lived there 100 years their behavior is rude and disrespectful of everyone else who lives there. I fully plan to "move on" and made it clear, so not sure why you needed to say that. Sounds like you are a typical defender of all things Polish even when it's wrong.

I misread your post sorry. I thought you said they were never there faster than 45min. I have never had good luck with the Police when I needed them. I got the typical Polish apathy everyone seems to be issues at birth here.

Ironically the little twits are not out tonight. First night in a couple of weeks there has been quiet.
