Love / Polish women world's second most flirtatious [75]

We're forever hearing how standoffish and sullen Poles are, now they're being called flirtatious?? They don't even smile!

That is definitely true lol. The thing is, men are often blind to women's subtle cues and (some are definitely not though). I've noticed this a lot from my own experience, its often hard to make them understand you like them and that they will not be rejected if they ask you for a date (could be why women in Poland flirt so much even though they are sullen and don't smile they want men to ask them out). Many average men probably think women don't want them and are afraid of rejection and whats more just can't really understand women in general. Many don't have self confidence. When men in a society are not confident with themselves, you have a lot of problems. Its a consequence of the technology and the modern world, people just don't know how to find love anymore.

Life / Is parity the answer for Polish women? [262]

This should be in the hate and discrimination section (haha just kidding). Men and women are not equal in a sense, they are pscychologically/mentally different and because of this are better at certain types of work. Its been proven that men for example are typically better at making business deals than women. Would you want 50% of the teachers, nurses, hair stylists, ect. to be men? That would be ridiculous.

Life / How Long Before Poland Has Its 'Dumbest Generation'? [84]

I've never ridden a bus alone; but I don't think that necessarily makes me a nincompoop. Not really something you want to do, some dangerous low class people use public transportation. But that's in America, I'm sure public transportation is far more normal over there.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

You unfairly bashed and stereotyped the South.

In one interview, author William Styron who wrote "Sophie's Choice" compared Poland to America's south.

I live in the South and I've got to tell you, it really sucks. Maybe if I lived in the north I would hate it worse but right now I think it sucks and I really don't like these people. I did not unfairly steryotype the south because I grew up here, and I really know how sh*tty it is. It has nothinig to do with how some wack writer said it was similar to poland. Actually they really hate Russians and East Europeans here and they have reason to because they don't like southerners.

Young lady, you've got a hell of a lot ahead of you. Never say never.

It will not happen, because I'm to good for 95% of them.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

Well I don't have any connection to the dixie mafia or the italian mafia. If there was a Slav mafia that existed I'd gladly join that. My family does not act southern at all really, a little bit maybe but not much. They think we're northern yupees sometimes and give us really nasty looks. I honestly think I'm more similar in my beliefs to an eastern european than your typical wasp southerner. They have no concept of how much they mix up the subraces/traits and don't make marriages for the right thing. They are occult Christians and despize new people coming from other places, even other wasps. They're stupid, inbred, bland, bull headed, and don't have any class. They're lazy too, and it takes them forever to grow up and take initiative, especially the men.

You should have kept your ruse going. They didn't know for sure, they were just guessing/ grasping. As they always do when a newbie shows up saying things they don't like to hear...

I thought I would never be able to keep convincing them, so I just decided to stop.

You people are incredibly stupid if you think my way of thinking is anything like the typical Southern wasp. You're idiots.

If you are too selective, one day you will wake up and see that all men in your age have been taken.

But if you take care of yourself and don`t look your age, you can still chase younger men.

So, nothing is really lost, after all. You needn`t despair.

What? No I'm definitely not too selective in fact, I'd say I'm somewhat under selective for what I am. The men are all just self absorbed rednecks. I actually have promised myself I will never marry an ugly inferior southern redneck man because they are messed up and corrupt in so many ways and I hate their way of life. Not to mention that they are almost always very dumb, careless, and have low standards. The man always has to be older than me too, not any younger than two years apart and not any older than 5. My best bet is actually a Russian American, because they have this feel for money and personal wealth that makes them driven to be more successful at a young age. They usually have their life and career well on track by their early twenties.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but I am not a previous member if that's what it is. I think its quite odd that you're saying I'm someone else when I'm not and what was so wrong with the last member? It seems to involve some kind of scandal or something.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

You're an idiot, because that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. You keep trying to act like its only because of my own romantic interests that aren't being fulfilled but what I'm talking about is something many women are tired of and the men are always biased and saying its my fault because I'm a little selfish brat and thats very unfair and belittling. The reason I think they do this is because their insecure and don't know how to be men because our society is so prosperous and all they do is play video games and live in an imaginary fantasy world. I'm not looking to date anybody on here. I just want to discuss why Slavic men these days are becoming so wimpy and effeminate, like the Western men. Men these days have adopted feminine traits (even non gay ones) and do things women do and I'm sorry this is just not attractive to me at all and it is very frustrating. As a traditional, feminine, confident woman with a strong personality I feel like a minority because there are hardly any decent men to choose from that go along with my values and are not insecure or wimpy. I actually strive to find a sensitive man, but one that isn't insecure or has feminine traits.

Not racially Caucasian PP but geographically. Here's what I mean.

That's scary. Actually I can tell the difference easily, I don't need to go on a date with one. There's a difference between a guy who takes care of you and makes good decisions rather than one who forces or smothers you to be or think a certain way. I always have a good sense for things, I trust my gut instinct. When I sense something to be true, it always ends up being true. I could go into more detail, but I don't feel its necessary.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

I have known many and they are very selfish and childish.

Serbs have, thanks to international isolation, succeeded in slowing down the deconstruction of male/female roles.
So, for women who crave for a dominant over self confident macho good looking guys Belgrade is still a good choice.
No insecurity here.

This is why I switched to only dating Slavs

As for being selective... well how many men here do you think would like to date you considering all you've already said?

I don't care what men here think I don't need reassurance from them, its just that in real life these kinds of discussions are pretty much prohibited and socially unacceptable so that's why I am showing my true colors on a forum. Many of the men are quite selective to and they seem to understand where I'm coming from with it. I'm not unreasonably selective like a nazi lol, I know I'm never going to find someone I'm perfectly happy with but some things like how confident he is and how he dominates, as well as his body type and height are quite unnegotiable. Its a natural thing for humans to be selective in who they choose to be intimate with, we ALL do it. Its life.

Love / THE POLISH DISEASE, wanna marry a Polish girl ? read on... [197]

He is Danish as much as I am swedish.

That would be very little or none I'm guessing, you don't seem like you'd be Swedish.

I like the face structure. I like long noses. I like their style in hair and clothes. I like their personality. I even find all the nagging sexy :-D
Are you Polish Seanus?

We don't all have long noses, that's mostly just people with Jewish or meditteranean ancestry. In fact the people on the Polish side of my family all pretty much have nonexistant ones.

just say that you come from a more elaborate background and would like to meet someone
that is appreciative of the same things..

Well I don't mean to come across as high maintenance but I really feel like I am; every guy has told me that and I try not to be but I just want to be me. I understand a guy's need for time alone, that is not the problem its just that I don't like them doing stupid things. Him going to the bar or watching a sports game doesn't bother me one bit I just don't like things like video game playing or immature habits and decisions. Heck there are times when I've begged guys to stop calling and texting me and I want to be left alone when I am busy with something important and they just won't stop. Its very stressful to be in a relationship with a super clingy person, I do know that.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

My (current) Sicilian girlfriend is virtually begging me to "come to bed" but the longer a man keeps them waiting the more they appreciate it............don't you think?

I WISH men would do that with me but usually by the third date they start mentioning something about the bedroom and it hurts my feelings. I do not want to have sex until a commitment has been made because I can't be sure of the man's intentions.

but I do agree.. I think her expectations are too high.. she is certainly not very
independent now , she wants a more old fashioned type of man who will spoil her
while she barks orders.

good luck.

Not exactly, some men these days would kill for a housewife that does their laundry, cooks their food, and manages the household for them. I'm sorry but all I've done with my life is dancing and its totally useless; its the only thing I'm good at though. I've been so wrapped up in that all my life that I don't see myself having much of a career, I just want to get married in the future. I'm so indecisive and unsure sometimes that I'd almost rather have the man bark orders at me. But yes, like nearly all women I love being spoiled but in no way do I demand it. If you met me in person you would realize this is true but its difficult to communicate on a forum. I am a young (not even drinking age yet) graceful woman with a slim body and elegant face and I feel that is worth more than the average joe call me arrogant but I feel its true.

USA, Canada / Do any other Polish Americans feel that our culture needs to be more well preserved? [38]

Yeah brother.. chill out. I was on your side. I'm not a WASP either.. I never identified with them.

I didn't say they were bad or I didn't like them (although the men are often quite soft), I'm part wasp (not american wasp but Euro wasp) just have a very different way of life than Poles/Slavs in general. You obviously have no understanding of what I'm talking about (no offense) but you should probably just quit the conversation all together. It is a little frustrating to have to keep explaining to you.

I've met an older guy from Chicago, after 35 years living here, he barely spoke English. You have to admit that this is not right.

Oh I definitely agree with you, if someone is living here and has the right to vote they DEFINITELY need to learn english properly. This is the point I was trying to make by creating this thread.

USA, Canada / Do any other Polish Americans feel that our culture needs to be more well preserved? [38]

Well Poland has a very bad economy (mostly the reason why we move here) and Polish immigrants are vastly different from American wasps these I think are the main reasons for the "Little Poland" type communities.

Right exactly, do your own thing , just don't slam us Americans all the time. What the hell, we're fighting a hard battle too.

Hey I never said I was in favor of slamming you; that is exactly what I was against. I recognize your struggles and I can understand them in a way.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

You probably need somebody stronger than you.

I figured that out all along lol that was kind of the purpose of this thread. My point was that men are so focused on themselves nowadays and not very in touch with their rough gruff macho sides because life is so prosperous that they have gotten soft and weak.

I would suggest a centaur with ski boots on...

Eww a man that skis (unless his last name ends with ski lol) no thanks that is like the Ukrainian nordic wannabe who was after my genes. People with German ancestry are so insecure and jealous when they aren't made with a nordic phenotype; its really funny but can be quite annoying sometimes.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

I'm afraid I don't agree with you. It is not my fault what I attract. I find that my looks seem to attract two kinds of men: jocks and ones who are after my genes. The jocks do not want to handle my strong personality because they've got better things to do and I am too high maintenance for them so they get frustrated and lose interest after they find out I won't let them get in my pants so easily. The ones after my genes are insecure and they just want the girl next door, they don't want commitment and don't have anything to offer me but trouble. The good men seem to be somewhat repelled by my looks I guess, because they don't believe I could be a genuinely nice person.

USA, Canada / Do any other Polish Americans feel that our culture needs to be more well preserved? [38]

I am part of a Polish community in NYC (Lower East Manhattan) but it is about 45% of people with at least some influence of Polish heritage and my question is why do some people oppose the Americanization of it? Of course it interfere's with its preservation but how are we going to be recognized if we don't befriend Americans and make it look more appealing to them? We are living in their country and I don't understand why some are so sensitive and enraged about the issue. I love my way of life and wouldn't change it a bit but just think some are a little too uptight and touchy. We are going to be hated if we seem snooty and ungrateful to Americans and I don't want that. Americanization is a part of the preservation of our communnities.

Love / Are Polish and Slavic men perhaps a little bit insecure sometimes? [113]

I just don't understand why men are so self absorbed and de-masculinized these days. It is very frustrating and I feel like Slavic men were the last to be this way because they come from a hostile enironment and they don't turn soft like the western men but even they are becoming that way now and it is very upsetting. Its like everything I grew up knowing and thinking was good seems like its over now because the men are so insecure and aren't the way they should be.

I respect that you want to keep trolls off the forum but I promise you I have never posted on this forum before and am only here for the sake of my interest in Poland and Polish communities in places other than my location. yep it is Allison infected with Crow's idea about the Slavic superiority:)

Who is Allison? *confused*

It does sound somewhat familiar...
But, taking it for what it's worth, it's the thread's title that is most revealing to me: "perhaps? "a little bit"? "sometimes"?
Passive aggressive much?
(don't take it the wrong way, I tend to be passive aggressive too, but it helps knowing it)

I just tend to be that way because I have a rare personality that happens to be very very afraid of conflict, it said so on a personality test I took my freshman year. It can't really be helped.

I am one, I live in a Polish neighborhood.

LOL

"nasty volga German blood in them"??????

What does that mean?

I didn't know every Ukrainian had German blood in them.

Well the two I'd met both did and seemed rather ashamed of it.

With your attitude I can see why you're not getting the real action. You repel the good guys with your nose up so high. Just an observation.

lol my nose IS upturned literally but not figuratively. If I had chosen to get action from those men it would have been a big mistake.
