But Roma - totally different matter. Here it is well known as street thiefs and drug dealers. Local people trying to avoid them like a plague.

Did you ask yourself why? You think they chose that role/job/life?
Think about it when you see/meet one next time...
The society is simply not allowing their integration no matter what their 'traditions' are.

From what I saw on docs on TV and heared from friends living in AUS it would have been better to listen to them especially with your extreme climate when taking on to civilize the area and urbanize it. ;-)

Sorry that I made the connection to rascist. Glad it's the other way around. Actually I'm personally not belonging to those who are looking on the 'race card'. I'm looking here on PF those who are with me, but until now the number is very very small.

Has probably to sth with the fact who's the majority here. ;-)

my whole life is full of disappointments.

Whose life isn't. Point is to come out of the funk...:-)...and a little help of a good friend is always good. :-)...long, long converations and eventually you'll get out :-)

Why Australian, American, others can go abroad and stay there for years without hearing from countrymen

Their society is based on different values. Slavic people like to stick in contact. They like company and are connected to their roots. Individualizm is not a goal for them, until recent political changes and the influence from the West.

They don't like to trust strangers

Met some during last summer vacation. Seemed to me quite open to now contacts.

They are kind and funny. just love company of others and have their celebrations

Slavic people are very sociable. They like others around and if there is a celebration even better.

many Polish stick to their families and close friends

They need like everybody a foundation, just that for slavic people the family/friends, close friends still have a higher value than in the individualistic society in the West.
