News / How will BREXIT affect the immigrants in UK and Poland. [1114]

well said Milo. I am sure I am not alone in being sick of Dirk banging on about Muslims in the UK. No there are not 'Sharia courts' that over-ride the law of the land. No there are not 'no go' areas. Yes , police are armed. FFS they carry sub machine guns these days. YOu would have to be blind, stupid or to not have been in the UK for years, to have not noticed. it is mostly in response to whatever shite America has stirred up worldwide, as usual.

As you say, Tower Hamlets , whatever it is like, has none of the danger of pitsville suburban America, and Dirk knows it. That is why he cant stay away from the place.

He is a tool. and an uneducated ignorant one , at that.

I mean, personally I joined this forum to chat to others about Poland, you know, culture, language, maybe cuisine. Not to listen to idiots like Dirk going on about Muslims in the UK. I don't know why he doesn't simply feck orf to stormfront.com or similar.

I have no idea why the owners of this site tolerate the semi literate rantings of someone who is clearly unbalanced. <shrugs>

he is too thick to grasp what has been pointed out to him , the UK is a post colonial society, and thus has its own hangover from this. This is also why Dirk speaks English, after a fashion.

Poland has never had colonies, therefore would never have the same issues. I have no idea why he thinks it might.
Some people are thick as pig shite.

News / "It's too late for Germany" (but not for Poland) [1798]

a bit like Britain and Ireland perhaps? apparently we are so mixed up that if every Brit who was entitled to an Irish passport, got one, and went back, Ireland would sink.

I have noticed that Septics view that very simplistically too, saying stuff like 'you guys hate the Irish. right?' ..(answer..er no, I don't "hate" half my family, you tool).

most of them have been assimiliated so much over time that they don't even identify with Poland anymore.

that's right, like my ex's grandmother from Dusseldorf - it seems unclear whether she was Polish or German...

Unlike the blacks in America, Merkel invited in this problem willingly

LOL that is quite ironic.
as I understood it, its not so much that Black people were invited to America, more that they were forcibly shipped in chains, lying in their own s'hit, for profit, and forced to work for nothing, picking cotton and so on.

Oh you really don't get irony do you?

If I were in charge I would ship out anyone who cant live without checks from their parents.

What branch of linguistics is your field of expertise?

Applied Linguistics..:) No need to get offended, Iron, it's just a discussion.

I have no wish to stop anyone talking. don't be silly. I just think we should all be more aware of the implications of certain words.

I don't think I am directing at the wrong people, but exactly the right ones. Ones that might actually listen to what I am saying, and respond by thinking more about their words next time. BB is OK.

Answered you in random, Ziemo.

And nodbody here writes their posts with an Oxford diary beside them.

of course not, that is why I am pointing it out. Do you not think the power of words is interesting?
Personally I always thought you had a very high level of English, BB. I am not accusing you of anything, btw.

THAT little word is what you put your claws in....are you kidding me?

no, not at all. Personally I think word choice is very important, very telling. But then as I already said, I am a linguist.

Take for example, that very famous speech by Winston Churchill (we will fight them on the beaches...etc) Every single word was carefully chosen by his speech writers, and every single word was Germanic based (eg the language of the people) except for the only French based word (the language of the ruling classes) which was 'surrender'.

See what I mean?

Rich Mazur, you are 'human garbage'.

That is why you have to say stuff like this, as it's the only way you can get any attention.

You are a sad lonely old man, probably sitting there in your dirty underpants wondering why nobody in real life likes you.

yes well you take my point. It's not the best choice of verb. The first two definitions in any dictionary will mention insects.

A bit like when right wing newspapers choose verbs such as 'swamped' or 'flooded'.

I don't agree, being a linguist. Swarm is invariably used for insects. Using it to talk about people is dehumanising them. And we all know where that leads.

all these foreigners swarming their streets...

the verb ' to swarm' is usually used for insects. Any reason why you are likening people to insects? Nice bit of de-humanisation there. Only to be expectd.

oh right well that is convenient for you... situations don't happen in a vacuum you know.

I have noticed this with a certain type of Brit, on their high horse about what happens in the ex colonies, seemingly ignorant (perhaps through choice) about how those situations came about.

Australians? With your disgusting history of treatment of the indigenous population?

doug.....where did those white 'Australians' come from? who were they? If you don't know, I suggest you read up on some history.

And yes, the 'British Musuem' is a vast repository of stolen goods. That struck me some years ago.

Forget about "the worst toilet in Scotland" from Trainspotting.

oh come on Spike, it can't have been THAT bad, surely?

Germany was where I first came across the 'self cleaning toilet' where the seat starts whirling round if you don't get out fast enough...

Food / Have Polish Women been Poisoned Yet to Hate Men. [60]

that equality feminazi tip.

oh ha ha ha ha that's funny! you just suggested that women wanting equality of opportunity are similar to a regime that killed approx. 10 million people!

how funny and apt that is!! ha ha ha ha ha !

( it was Rush Limbaugh that said that. Do you just copy other w.Ankers and regurgitate/copy and paste their crap ? Do you think it makes you sound clever or witty? well guess what it makes you sound like a sad uneducated idiot with zero original thought. Picked up your bank transfer from daddy this month yet?
