Life / I saw Polish nationalism today [249]

Sean, as I have said, thay are missguided, but theirs hearts are in the right place. I guess they feel that Poland is going in the wrong direction, but they are not sure how to rectify it.

While I dislike any neo nazism connotations, and I do hate skinheads, I really do, I feel that the future of Polish nation it being decided right now, and I dont like the direction it is going to take if official factors are the only deciding ones.

Is neo-nazism better then PC crowd? I don't know, I don't want to choose between these two, they are equally evil in my book.

Sean, when you put it that way it do sound silly (or as a crap, if you will) but the mainstream is so pro jews that it is somewhat jarring. I can see why some young people want to show a finger to the world by celebrating a mass murder.

By the way, the only time I myself got any ani semite urges was when Kwasniewski apologized for so called "polish ani semitisem". I mean, HOW DARED HE? To apologise in my name for something I had nothing to do with? I was so angry. It was the only month (or two) in my life I really hated Jews. Normally I am rather indiferent to such a themes.

But PC crowd is issuing orders from Brusseles. In a way, it would be better if it was our own, Polish PC crowd. With them, we'd could deal with.

It would not be the orders. It would be oppinions of other Poles. Some compromise could be possible.

Exampes? The gay parades was pushed down our throat (Poles, do let perverts parade on your streets or else...)

I agree with MrGrunwald. Lokietek re-united Poland after Krzywousty's blunder.

No "reforms", please. No more reforms... I am happy with "stagnation". Everything is better then yet another reforms. Reforms are killing us.

News / 100 days of Komorowski presidency [41]

No Delph, I don't want these things. I can live with what we have now (or live around it, anyway)
Let the government stop plying with things they don't really understand. I don't remmember any sigle "reform" that did turned things for the better. And I don't expect to see it, in my lifetime.

I can agree, but do you really believe that government is physically able to improve anything? Even if they magically managed to stop caring about theirs own purses and had genuinely tried to improve things just a bit (what a ridicules assumption)?

No Delph, any action our polititians are going to take is going to be along the lines of rising taxes and making our lives even more difficult. And when we'll be able to lern how to go around briliant "reforms" of theirs, the new ones will be in place.

The best thing one can expect from a government is the stagnation. If a polititian could assure me that he is going to do squat, to just sit and look important, he'll got my vote for ever and ever. The perfect official.

Life / Picking up BBC television in Poland [41]

The question is with out installing some mega dish can i still receive any British TV, we are now in Bielsko Biala.

You can receive British BBC in Bielsko-B. Without any viewing cards, just on the analog tuner. Or you could about 2 years ago, I dismantled my dish about that time, so I don't know if is is still possible.

Life / Any treatment centres for homos in Poland? [455]

But the one thing is overlooked. The fags/gays/whatever-PC-name-you-like, as any other organised group of perverts, are harmfull to the society. So they need to be stoped. Happiness of any small group, if said group is harmfull to the humanity at large, is completly irrelevant! Or the next day we'll see pride parade of pedofiles or rapists.

I do pity any Faq, that it was born being such a miserable criter, but giving them any "rights" is absolutely out of the question.

I was quoted by Harry himself. My life is fulfilled now.
But Harry, you know, this is the internet era. Every moron and his mother has the right to publish his opinions on the public forums. As your very existence proves.

So why would I stop now, again? Hugh?

@Jonni "gay geting rights and continuing to get more"

That is a sad truth. The failing of modern, western society. But it is not too late to reverse the trend. We must do it, if we are going to survive. If the western civilisation it going to survive we shoud stop being tolerant towards people who do not deserve it.

@Jonni "so what you are doing"

First and foremost, I am not being tolerant. With pride. When being called homophobe, bigot, racist or whatever, I just laugh out loud at such a miserable tactics. That is the start, as I see it. Not to let ourselvs to be forced into defence because some moron calls you by stupid PC buzzword.

@Jonni "people who don't say things like"

You know, these are the deluded ones. Or the ones who are afraid to be called a bad names. I am showing the latter, by my own example, that it is nothing to be ashamed of, to be called like that. Quite the contrary.

Frankly, I was expecting you'll name some politicians. And you did not. Well done.

Or maybe I am the deluded one. I don't think so but who knows ...? ;-)

@Jonni: politicians "the list would be long"

And disgusting one, to be sure.

I do admit, I am not cut to be a politician. It is an art of compromise, they say. As such, it is not for me. Some things are right, some are wrong in my book. Like gays or pedophiles. There can be no compromise with evil.

News / John Godson, born in Nigeria, might become Poland Sejm's first black deputy! [313]

I don't see why anyone could have any problem with this guy.
It is not as if he was put into an office thanks to some moronic PC rule, demanding some fixed % quota of minority to be placed there.

No, he was voted by adult people who presumly knew what they have been doing. I am OK with that. Though I admit, at first it did sound weird.

News / Medvedev in Poland [28]

One cannot trust a Russian. Cheats and crooks, all of them.
Just pretend you get lost and try to ask a Russian about directions. Ask three of them, in a row. You'll get three separate, convoluted routes, each will lead you in quite different a place, none of it even close to a site where you wanted to go.

One cannot trust a Russian. They'll cheat you with a friendly smile.

History / Effects of Living under Communism in Poland [58]

Effects of living under commies? I cannot say for other Poles but as for me, it have made me very suspicious about any ideology. Especially if it pushed into my face.

Every time a media, authorities, government or whoever is trying to convince me of something, I feel that I should act just opposite. Even if it is something that on the surface seems reasonable, like “tolerance is good”, I feel the urge to do something to spite them. They speak to me from TV so they are enemies, no way around it.

Well, what I just just have written is kind of hyperbole, but you get the general feeling. The intense dislike of anything that I feel is being pushed at me.

News / A devestating verdict on the Polish church [279]

You either have a blind faith or hve no faith at all.
The point is, as far as religion is concerned, one need to ignore all the irrelevant, earthly science. Don't look after any proofs, just have faith.

Life / Babcia or Busha - any social class difference? [359]

While I do not find the word pollock offensive in itself, I do know that Westerners, especially Americans, mean it in offensive way, so I act accordingly.

To stay on topic. I have spent my (almost) entire life in Poland and the first and only time I have seen the word busha, it was here, on Polish Forums. And here only. Now, while I recenty interacted, quite vigorously, with Americans, I have never met Polish Americans in real life.

News / Can Russia be a good partner for Poland? [42]

Hell no!
Russia is a good partner for no one.
I have tried to make buisness with Russians once. The biggest setback in my entire life. Hell, if I had figured out what they are up to a one day latter, I'd be begging on the streets today. Or maybe rather washing dishes in UK ;-)

Death to the Russia!

UK, Ireland / Do Poles in the UK pretend to be uppity because they have an inferiority complex? [60]

From my experience, Poles living abroad are indeed full of anger and complexes. There are some exceptions, obiviously, like with everything else, but generally speaking no Pole is going to work and live outside Poland because he likes it. Most of these people have failed to make a decent living here in PL, for one reason or another, so they are somewhat butthurt and theirs egos are fragile.

Life / Is/was Polish society patriarchal or matriarchal? [36]

Every Pole is a proud Patriarch, of course. No other way for a real man. We are kings and rules on the universe.

As long as our wives don't know about it, that is.

Life / Is/was Polish society patriarchal or matriarchal? [36]

And why marriage is essential? In my native Flanders very soon the majority of couples will live together without being married. They have children, educate them, teach them values, grow old together as happy as any couple who is married.

What's wrong with marriage anyway? What are the perks of living together without being married? Does getting married causes any harm?
