Life / Beggers namely Kurwa boys in Poland [70]

If no-one gave money to beggars they wouldnt be there. Basic economic fact.

Anyone who thinks they are helping beggars by giving them money needs to give themselves a shake. You are condemning them to a life on the street, a downwards spiral propelled by the "nice" people who give money and keep the whole thing going.

Consider for a moment what would happen if no-one gave beggars any money.

1.They would cease to beg on the streets - eradicating a public nuisance.

2. Those who are not homeless would filter back into society.

3. Those who are homeless would either seek help- govt, charity, church or family OR commit crime to fund themselves.

If there are resources put into help and crimefighting this problem neednt exist.

That said it would prevent the do-gooders feeling like they save humanity every day...

Love / My recent experience with a Polish girl. [231]

You are really tiresome Time Means.

Why not just say i disagree and put something constructive forward?

Does that involve too much thought?

If you want to blub all night with the guy no worries.... but why pointlessly criticise me?

Barr,

I'm going to be polite as I can here..

None of your problems have anything to do with these ladies nationality. There is no radically different mentality, after all Europe is a small place. We dont walk backwards here!

It sounds like you get treated like a doormat and are emotionally needy.A shrink is a good idea.

For both points there is nothing concerning PolishForums, in fact the reason why you get responses that are sarcastic is because its really boring.

I wish you all the best in the future, but please dont come whining on here- this forum is usually an interesting place, not some lonely hearts club

The other side of the story would be more enlightening:

I'll have a go:

Met english guy, he was fun as friends for a while but I got bored.

Didnt text him for days thinking he would get the message.

Unfortunately he is dumb and now contacts me all the time which is really creepy.

Wish I had never met him .. why are 90% of british guys utter losers..

---

Yours Sincerely,

Miss A Pole

UK, Ireland / Fish and chips - do Polish people in the UK like this? [108]

Besides i doubt wether a bag of chips will cost £4.34p Probably more like 0.70p maybe thats a little more appetizing for the students?

Sorry my mistake I thought you were opening a fish and chip shop... maybe I'm confused....;-)

Anyway you could call it The Polish Forum....if you ask for anymore advice they'll want shares in it!

Find out the price of fish, grab £20k and come and do it. Easy.

UK, Ireland / Fish and chips - do Polish people in the UK like this? [108]

Students dont eat 20zl meals everyday, most are hard up with few jobs available (consider why many go to blighty)

Its probably worth a shot, the worst that will happen is you lose £20k...

The strong dose of english arrogance always make it's entertaining for us when you come here....:-)

Have to disagree with DNZ, warsaw is your best bet, there are more expats than anywhere else there.

Could have a chance, though takeaways are really two a penny around big polish cities...

Given the price point of fish and chips would be 20zl you are moving into the restaurant game..

Mug of tea and 2 rounds of bread n butter please!

Chip buttys may take a little longer to fly here...

fish and chips is hardly exotic lets be honest... a fillet of cod in batter isnt reinventing the wheel!!

Find out how many enjoy steak and kidney pies with mushy peas... that will be something interesting to write about!

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

Michal

These naive English people want to visit Poland and try and depend on the Polish welfare state and see the reaction then. All this romantic nonsense about lovely fields and smiling folk-of course they smile, after all, you are there to spemd your money after opening up your wallet!

I do very well in Poland
Though thanks for your concern, it really is comical.

Poland is a great country for business (once you learn the kickback culture)

If you were not writing drivel here you'd probably enjoy it more too!

SKY in Poland?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I might access SKY TV (SKY sports, UK TV channels) in Poland?

I understand that there are ways to make this happen.

Any info appreciated.
