Genealogy / Polish Gypsy Roots & Roma ancestors in their families [206]

My maternal grandfather's father my mother's dziadzio John Brzoska I found out from a very in-depth DNA test gave me a mixture of Polish, Romanian and a little bit of Roma Gypsy ancestry. It's incredible because my maternal grandfather looked like he could've been a full blooded Roma. My mother babcia Johanna Eisner that emigrated from Poland too was 100% full blooded Ashkenazi Jewish

The way DNA is inherited it's impossible to say how many generations back my Roma ancestry is because even though it least 12.890625% of my ancestry is Ashkenazi Jewish I only inherited 4.37% Ashkenazi Jewish DNA. I have 2.2% South Asian DNA and the average full blooded Roma has 22% South Asian DNA from what I've read

Genealogy / I love Asiatic influences in Polish peoples' faces [59]

I found out from a very in-depth DNA test that what had to be from the dziadzio John Brzoska of my mother bequeathed me a mixture of Polish, Romanian and even a little bit of Roma ancestry. Most people recognize the Roma a lot better by their nickname Gypsy. My mother's babcia Johanna Eisner that emigrated from Poland 🇵🇱 too just like my mother's dziadzio John Brzoska was 100% Ashkenazi Jewish. 23andme is the only adequate DNA testing company there is for people with ancestry from Poland, Eastern Europe or mixed racial DNA which come to find out I do DNA from Eastern Europe. I already knew that 12.5% of my ancestry is Native American Indian. And even though I knew that I definitely have Polish, Ashkenazi Jewish along with Native American Indian ancestry I didn't know that I have Eastern European DNA or that I have any Roma Gypsy ancestry

Genealogy / Polish DNA? Poles have the most genes in a group includes Balts, Macedonians and Greeks. [263]

Merged: I took a DNA test, and found out why my Polish grandfather, and siblings looked all different

My maternal grandfather is the only grandparent of mine that had any ancestry that wasn't Irish,English or Native American Indian. My maternal grandfather's parents immigrated from Poland to the USA in the early 1900's.What is weird about both of them is that they were both born in the United States in Massachusetts, and their parents were born in what was then Russia but is now Poland. They both moved back to Poland when they were children with their parents, they both escaped Poland, and moved back to the United States when they were young adults. She was Ashkenazi Jewish by ethnicity even though she didn't practice Judaism.I have always been very interested in all of my ancestry, and have always been very interested in my ancestry, and have done a lot of genealogical research.I have gotten very interested in deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA).The DNA company 23andme said things about my DNA that I already knew were in my ancestry, and then said some things that I did not know, for an example Romanian.I know that I definitely had to get the ancestry from Romania from my maternal grandfather because he was my only grandparent with Eastern European ancestry.I found out from an in-depth look at my DNA results let me know that I inherited the most DNA from my maternal grandfather than any other grandparent, and that I have 17% Northeastern European DNA,14.50% Mediterrranean DNA,4.37% Ashkenazi Jewish,an 2.2% South Asian DNA which I know that since full blooded Native Americans have 25% Northeastern European DNA it's impossible to know how much of it is Slavic. All of the my Mediterranean DNA came from the Romanian ancestry, the 2.2% South Asian DNA had to come from Gypsies, and my mother's babcia only bequeathed me 4.37% of her DNA.My maternal grandfather's parents spoke Polish, and even though my mother's dziadzio spoke fluent English, her babcia did not speak it fluently, and she was very hard to understand when she spoke the English that she did know. They were both buried in a cemetery that was split in half. One half was all French people, and the other half all Polish people.
