Love / How to seduce Polish girls: Tips and advice [118]

In Germany there are 3 million Turks and relatively few German Turkish pairs and the German women in these pairs are usually ugly.In Poland there are very few foreigners all of them have polish gilfriends and most are beautiful.

Actually, I saw a few Turks with half-decent German girlfriends in a club in Berlin a few years ago. I must admit it pissed me off. However, I agree that Polish girls do level the playing field somewhat, meaning that everyone has a chance of getting a hot girl. But you make it sound much easier that it is. I've never been to the Greek resorts where Polish girls are, so I don't know what it's like there. But in Poland, the Polish guys tend to get the hottest (and also the least attractive) girls, probably because very hot women demand more more security (and usually speak worse English). Foreigners do get attractive girls, but not the most attractive.

Love / How to seduce Polish girls: Tips and advice [118]

Imagine Alx what happens when you start playing money. You get a multiplier.

It depends on how highly you rate the girl, her level of class or type of character. Why would you want to splash out on a simple student girl from a small town, for example? Plus, I think money helps when you also have a little charm - I've seen lots of English tourists in Krakow getting used for drinks. OK, the more $$ you have the less charm you probably need, but you will still need some, unless you are super rich and everyone knows it.

What's charming for Polish girls is another point of discussion. Often, a very simple conversation is enough (Do you like X? Do you like Y? etc.). Foreigners in Poland frequently fail to understand the mentality of the girls and try to be too cocky, too clever, too sexual or whatever.

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

Not really. If a man spends a lot on the initial dates then the woman will usually assume that's how it's going to be. I recommend that men go 'dutch' on the first date. If a woman finds this unacceptable then you can at least let her know that you are disappointed on how not "empowered" or "independent" she is. After all, isn't that the feminist mantra?

Ok, fair point. That's true. but as KP says, it depends on the girl's financial means. I've experienced both sorts of dating. However, I disagree with the suggestion to go dutch if your date is a poor student for example. Basically, you have to decide whether she's worth it. However, as I said, if you want you can easily minimize the spending by cooking for her, watching dvds etc. If the girl earns a decent salary, then it's reasonable to split the expenses. Very often, those girls will offer to pay their way and I may say sth like 'I'll get this one, you pay next time'. But when the girl is attached to you, you can get away with all sorts of things.

So one should exercise on the former girls and then put his skills into action with the richer ones

Hehe..yes, good philosophy.

Love / How to seduce Polish girls: Tips and advice [118]

throw money around like it grows on trees, and be more important (higher status) that other "options"

What's all this talk of money?? Guys come to Poland and go for Polish girls precisely because they can find low maintenance attractive girls, unlike in many other societies. Sure, there are gold digging types too, but there are more than enough of the former.

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

Women inherently want freebies of some sort.

It usually works like that at the beginning. But when a woman becomes emotionally attached to you, the roles can easily reverse, especially if the woman has the financial means. You seem to be referring to gold digging 'sponsoree' types, which admittedly isn't an insignificant group, but doesn't reflect the big picture.

Love / What are the most popular ethnicities for Polish women [90]

Polish girls go wild for Italians

This is a 10-year-old story. Have you been in prison or something? Italians have acquired a really bad reputation in Poland now, and in general only the very sl#tty types tend to go for them, which is a shame because many Italians are very nice, peaceful chaps.

Hm,polish girls are extreme. You have to be extremely romantic or extremely spending it is difficult to explain. In Mediteranean we are measured we balance. In Poland they have extreme passion or whatever so by their behaviour a Mediteranean can become submissive because he tries to comply.

You cannot paint all Polish girls with the same brush. In Krakow, you will find that most girls are very low maintenance - certainly lower maintenance than western girls. Buy them a cup of coffee and an ice-cream and they're satisfied. Dinners you can make at home - it's not hard to learn how to cook, and they like it when you can cook something exotic for them. Of course, there are gold digging sl*ts too but you can spot them a mile away. Also, Warsaw girls tend to expect much more e.g. restaurant dinners, cocktails, etc. But it's nothing like the girls in Ukraine, for example, who make no effort to hide their intentions. Subtelty is definitely not a character trait I'd attribute to Ukrainian girls.

Yeah, Polish girls go for the romance too, but I find that your chances of getting laid more quickly (if that's what you're after) are higher if you don't give everything they want.

The Mediterranean might act more submissively, but he'll never be submissive.

Love / Polish men are complete doormats (especially after they get married) [125]

There are more doormats among Polish men than in an IKEA warehouse. There are also bad boy types too, but a lot of Polish girls tend to go with the safer, more boring option when it comes to dating. A friend of mine from Greece was quite shocked to see so many guys being submissively led by the hand in clubs in Krakow.

Love / I don't know if she's married and I don't speak Polish - help me romantic folks [55]

After her saying no I told her:then you don\\\'t drink your urine. And the Swedish girl almost fell off her chair laughing. She laughed about five minutes.
If I told the same to a polish girl she would probably freak out.

Many Polish girls (mostly the villagy types) tend to take things too seriously and don't get some types of humour. For example, if you are waiting at a tram stop in Krakow and you say to a girl in a silly joking way "excuse me, does this tram go to Warsaw?", don't be surprised if she replies "No, I'm afraid you have to go to the train station."

However, in the situation you described, I would put the confusion down to lack of knowledge about 'New Age' rather than cross-cultural misunderstanding or different humour.

Love / I don't know if she's married and I don't speak Polish - help me romantic folks [55]

If your conversations are boring, then it means she's boring and a possible relationship will probably be boring aswell. Why don't you call an escort girl if you want to get laid? I don't know, but it might you save you a lot of effort..

Who says I want a relationship with them? The point I was making was that if you want to get laid in Poland, you don't need to be particularly witty, sophisticated or charismatic. You just need to keep it simple. As far as a relationship goes, it would be impossible for me to go out long-term with a girl who demands a very low level of stimulation.

Love / I don't know if she's married and I don't speak Polish - help me romantic folks [55]

With polish girls you have to keep the conversation simple to the most boring level. What a western girl finds totally boring is very interesting for a polish girl. For example if you tell her you were in Mayorka or whatever.Polish girls do not need the level of stimulation western girls do

Hahaha, funny but very true. I used to try to be sophisticated and witty, which got me compliments like "you're funny" etc. But after some time I discovered that the only person I was really impressing was myself, and that it made no difference to my success. The same, or rather better, results could be achieved by keepng the conversation very boring and simple.

If you ask a polish girl lubisz Doda?

Girls, especially village girls, always find it funny that a foreigner knows who Doda, Mandaryna etc. are. Such questions can be good to make them laugh.

But I must say congrats to the marketing team. You have done an excellent job of selling an overpriced product to a thrifty market.

Love / Polish Girls vs Russian Girls [813]

Actually it's less easy to pull in the clubs than in the daytime (cafes, shops etc). They can become very deluded in clubs because of over-attention from needy desperate guys and due to low standards almost anyone can be competition. Depends on club though. 9-10 years ago it was a completely different story.

Love / Polish Girls vs Russian Girls [813]

Oh, and I would hardly call a young lady from Kraków or Warszawa a provincial girl!

It's actually quite rare to meet a 'young lady' from Kraków or Warsaw, even in Krakow and Warsaw. Warsaw, being the capital, attracts people from all over the country for work opportunities. In Krakow, many girls come from provincial areas of Poland to study.

But Russians have always been winners so they show some kind of arrogancy sometimes,

That would be the ideal combination - Eastern looks with Western/US-style sassy confidence....as long as they're friendly towards foreigners ;)

Love / Polish Girls vs Russian Girls [813]

Fact, you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.

If you are one of these guys who can't get a decent western girl, then I am sorry to have offended you :). But it is the general opinion of foreigners living in Poland that the girls tend to have very simple aspirations in life (due to cultural and economic factors). Simple girls can be fun to go out with, etc but if you want a proper relationship forget it. OK, there are a few exceptions, especially in warsaw....

the other polically incorrect truth is that having a Polish girl is self-esteem boost for many foreign guys who can't get a girlfriend otherwise...the guys delude themselves and the girls seem unable to see this.

Anyway, to stay on topic, are Russian women the same way? Are they more or less ambitious? more or less relationship material? Anyone with experience in this area?

Love / Polish Girls vs Russian Girls [813]

FACT: Most Western guys tend to date Polish girls cause they can't get a decent-looking Western girl.
FACT: Polish and Eastern European women tend to be better looking than their Western counterparts, though not always classier.

Only problem is the mentality. It's generally difficult to have a connection with a Polish girl, other than a sexual one, because of the mentality. Girls in Poland tend to have this simple "finish school-get married early-go to church-have kids" aim in life and if you're a guy with unique passions/ambitions they are hard to relate to on a deeper level.

Don't know about Russian girls. I assume they are more 'confident' as a people due to their history and culture, and perhaps more complex. I would like to find out.

Love / Polish women are the most beautiful in the world! [1718]

Take a look at Polish actress & model, Joanna Pacula. It's hard to believe she's almost 53 years old.

This is silly. There are top quality models/actresses in every country. For every Polish model photo you can paste here, I could find an Italian/Greek/French/English/Saudi Arabian/Chinese etc. model just as gorgeous or even more so. We are talking about less than 0.1% of women here.

I'd say from my experience that the average Polish girl is certainly prettier than any other European country I've visited (I haven't been to Baltics yet, but I've heard they're prettier over there). On the other hand, I'd say that in Poland there are fewer really stunning girls than in Western countries (I'm talking about the classy model or actress-type glamorous look).

Love / Are 98% of young Polish girls emotionally unstable and mood changing? [191]

In Polish nightclubs Spanish/Italian/Portuguese (etc) boys seem to be quite popular among Polish girls.

That is what you see as a northern European. The reality is quite different. While many Polish girls find the dark looks attractive, they are often very skeptical about dating Mediterranean men, considering them to be players, cheaters, etc. Plus, another reason why you see that is because southern men tend to be more active in terms of approaching random women than other men.

I am just saying the the spainsh man has alot of competion in the night clubs of poland.

Yes, that is true. And given that Polish girls in general aren't the pickiest, the competition could be almost anyone :)

Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

most young people going to sunday mass

I think so-called confession in the Catholic church surely must give the people a get-out-of-jail-free card. They can commit whatever petty 'sins' they want, go and confess to the 'Lord' and everything is all right. That may allow them to handle the guilty feelings better than others.

Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

I don't think there is distinction between shy and bold girls. The distinction is between party girls and librarian types. Many times party girls are more difficult to get.

Among the main types of girls I've come across are:

1) uneducated sexy-but-dodgy looking girls who seem to go exclusively for 'dresiarze' (vulgar addidas-wearing skinhead guys). In Krakow, some ex-pats call such girls 'Hutas' because many of them come from the poor industrial district of Nowa Huta.

2) Confident, classy, slightly more more mature girls who don't often go to clubs. Usually engaged or married.
3) simple, young, often shy and naive 'librarian-type' village girls that frequent the cheap student clubs like Carpe Diem
4) slightly above-average looking party girls with v little personality who go to posher clubs and think they hotter than they are (we just call them 'deluded')

5) Girls who like and hang around exclusively with foreigners. Most of them are rather average in the looks department (not an expression I use, but I've come across the term 'language wh***s')

6) Hippies, freaks, wierdos, bisexuals etc. Can be found in gay-friendly clubs like Kitsch. Unpredictable.

The decent, classy ones are the hardest ones to find, especially if they're single, but those ones are girlfriend-material. The most difficult ones are the Hutas, unless you have a shaven head, look like the Hulk without the green, and can say 'kurwa' after almost every word. The village girls are definitely the easiest to approach but their deep inferiority complexes make you almost feel guilty about shagging them.

Life / Do expats living in Poland speak Polish? [233]

Ask people who speak both English and Polish fluently, which language they think best differentiates subtle shades of an expression? Especially when it comes to emotions it's generally accepted, by people who speak both Polish and English, that Polish have more subtle shades.

You have carried out a survey then?
I regularly read, write and speak in Polish. I probably have a lot more contact with the language than you. I can't say I'm completely fluent yet, but I work with people who are, plus bilingual speakers/translators I know have also complained of the simplistic translations of English words provided by bilingual dictionaries.

Your lack of linguistic knowledge disturbs me.

Your a**-kissing of Polish culture is beginning to disurb me ;)

Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

I like submissive.

Ironically, confident women are 'easier' than shy, submissive girly types. Most guys go for the shy ones because they think they are easier so you end up competing with every loser out there. With the smart confident type, it's easier to make a connection - you just have to be a little cockier than them or just boldly honest. You don't have much to lose - if she's hot at least you tried and plus you're gonna be competing with much fewer guys. Took me a long time to learn that.

So leave me alone.

Well you kind of asked for it mate. :P

Wimp is good. But it's also used in a more general context and therefore doesn't convey the specific meaning. 'pantoflarz' definitely deserves its place in the jargon of English-speaking ex-pats in Poland :P
