GERMANS DON'T LIKE YOU!!!

Oh boy !
Germans do LOVE me!
I speak perfect Hochdeutsch from Hannover area.
I'm blond, blue eyed like Adolf's Germanic Uebermensch.
I'm hard working like Germans used to be in Bismarck's times.
I'm emboding German secret dreams and fantasies of civilized Poles:).
Civilized under German influence of course.

exactly Pommeranians ..... NOT Poles

Nobel prize for "Poles" living in those old times, genius LOL.
Pommeranias were much closer to the tribes united by the Piast dynasty than for example Masovians (today Warsaw) or Cracow area Slavs (White Croatia).
Pomeranias were Western Slavs same way like Polanes, Lusythians, Obodrites etc.
It's hell of ignorance to speak about Poles in Adam and Eva days.

And before that it used to be german lands before Poles wandered westward

As it used to be Neanderthaler before Germanic tribes wandered west
ward LOL.

Do you call Krakow Heimat Borrka?

Yes I do. Got no problems with German Gastarbeiter hired by Polish kings.

a mass immigration of French into Poland and then claiming that territory a part of France.

Exactly the way Germans colonized Pommerania !
Perhaps you don't know it but what you call "Northern parts of Poland heavily populated by Germans" used to be Slavic and part Polish lands before German annexation.

Germans were same way "newcomers" like Poles in Wilno .
Pommerania was Germanized and by no means Polonized as you suggest !.

Stll I'm strongly against all kinds of expulsion.
What is your time line to accept sombody's right to his "Heimat" ?
700 years ?
Maybe 500 would be enough ?
But under 400 years people should be expelled or "Volhynia - slaughtered".
It's really striking to watch your double standards, Nathan.

History / Roman Dmowski-Patriot, Nationalist, Anti-Semite? [237]

arguments against Jews are all the same,

They are at least similar, agreed.
But I'm not talking the average antisemitic propaganda but Dmowski's attitude towards Jews:
smart, hardworking, well educated and for that reason deadly dangerous for Poland.

History / Roman Dmowski-Patriot, Nationalist, Anti-Semite? [237]

Absolutely the same, there are no differences

Not at all.
I'll use your favorite Wiki to prove you wrong:

The word antisemitic (antisemitisch in German) was probably[vague] first used in 1860 by the Austrian Jewish scholar Moritz Steinschneider in the phrase "antisemitic prejudices" (German: "antisemitische Vorurteile").[31] Steinschneider used this phrase to characterize Ernest Renan's ideas about how "Semitic races" were inferior to "Aryan races." These pseudo-scientific theories concerning race, civilization, and "progress" had become quite widespread in Europe in the second half of the 19th century, especially as Prussian nationalistic historian Heinrich von Treitschke did much to promote this form of racism. In Treitschke's writings Semitic was synonymous with Jewish, in contrast to its usage by Renan and others.

History / Roman Dmowski-Patriot, Nationalist, Anti-Semite? [237]

Studying case "Dmowski" can be occupation for historian's life.
He wasn't antisemite in the sense we are today used to.
He considered Jewery to be a clever and politically talented enemy, by far smarter than uneducated Polish masses.
On the contrary to Jozef Pilsudski Dmowski thought that Jewish long run objectives are absolutely not in line with national Polish agenda so Jews were his #1 enemies.

Not in the Nazi sense of subhumans but as a very dangerous factor of Polish political arena.

Life / What is the best city in Poland to live in? Relocating to Poznan? [41]

Go to Cracow ... if you're close to retiring.
Poznan is the best Polish city in the life's quality ranking.
If you enjoy a real struggle for career and are looking for serious opportunities your choice is Warsaw.
I can only laugh about our friendly rednecks and their inferiority complexes ...

Most interesting if seen in the later "slavic subhuman" context what many now (thanks to after war history writing) see as the most driving force behind the Nazi actions which I started to doubt for awhile now.

There are at least two subcategories in German (not Nazi only) attitude towards Slavs:
"good" Slavs having their national agenda fully in line with German chauvinistic objectives and
"bad" Slavs opposing it.
Just some examples:
Poles and Serbs were bad (even today they are) for well known reasons and Slovaks, Croats, Ukrainians were "good" or at least useful.

There was always some DNA-magic behind these stereotypes like "Ukrainian peasants are less spoiled with Jewish blood than Polish Mischlings" but it was a nice good nite story only for Helmut and Helga in SS, HJ and BDM uniforms.

Useful and useless are the keywords.

Language / Paddy, Jock and Taffy; origin and translation to Polish [27]

Terms like Jock, Paddy or Taffy - any idea of their origin ?
How far are they derogatory ?
What would be Polish translation ?

Paddy, if from Patrick, sounds like Polish Pepik (Joseph) for Czechs to me.

Po polsku / Tragedia jezykowa, czyli "stay on topic" LOL. [95]

Natomiast nie sadze, by dotyczylo to specyficznie jezyka polskiego.

PS. Mozecie nazywac to puryzmem jezykowym.

News / Polish Lithuanian Diplomatic War? At last. [533]

Polish and Russian are considered the same language by Lithuanians.

Yep and Lithuanian cows use to fly when summer evening comes
.

it was a bilateral agreement which benefited both parties

Time to decide: a win win situation or occupation LOL

It was the Grand Duchy of Lithuania spanning from the black sea to the Baltic sea.

Oh really ?
And I see Ukrainian lands only and a tiny nest of Lithuanian occupants in the North.

History / How Poland views Europe [44]

Yeah...funny.

Only trying to make it funny.

Main nonsenses corrected:

Countries East-wards the Bug river: lost part of Poland or just "Ruskies". Never heard "former colonies".

Germans .. hmm .. kinda Turks in the nice cars. Kreuzberg is their capital city.

Czech and Slovaks - neighbors speaking rural Polish dialects.
For sure not drunks.

Russia - f..n Katsaps except all my friends and great blondes with Slavic high cheek bones.
They use hieroglyphes .

Sweden: hink, mopa and svabba promised land for Polish rednecks.

Belgium: Stella Artois hardly makes it a land of beers .

History / Life in Partitioned Poland (Specifically in the Prussian Partition) [118]

BB in his element again lol.
Bismarck's views on the Polish question can be compared with Adolf Hitler only - both great and successful German politicians.
However I have to agree: Hitler proved to be more pragmatic.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_von_Bismarck
His policies concerning the Poles of Prussia were generally unfavourable to them,[21] furthering enmity between the German and Polish peoples. The policies were usually motivated by Bismarck's view that Polish existence was a threat to the German state; Bismarck, who himself spoke Polish,[22] wrote about Poles: "One shoots the wolves if one can."[23] He also said: "Beat Poles until they lose faith in a sense of living. Personally, I pity the situation they're in. However, if we want to survive - we've got only one option - to exterminate them.[24]

Demagogia.

Zapewne jakis cwok wymyslil, iz lepiej przekazuje to wiez producent - towar - nabywca i poooszlo !
Firmy prezenty rzadko daja.

W jezyku polskim razi.

Sztuczne i bardzo rozpowszechnione zapozyczenie jezykowe: procedowac.

Dzis w telewizorze politycy ciagle "proceduja", wiec jezyk pewnie tego potworka przyswoi.

News / Coach crash in Germany. Polish coach... many dead [26]

Maybe one of them saw the other to late or so...?

Look BB, I know A10/A113 junction like the back of my hand and there is nothing special about it, even by rainy weather. All you need is to to observe the right of way.

Sunday driver versus long-distance operator make rather a clear case too.

BTW.Springer's Bild is number 1 in Germany !.

News / Coach crash in Germany. Polish coach... many dead [26]

it seems this crash was not the fault of the bus driver...

It was already confirmed on TV by German police.

Anyway, interesting comment from the German Bild.de:
Schwere Unfälle polnischer Reisebusse gibt es immer wieder - im Ausland und in Polen selbst. Ein schlechter technischer Zustand der Fahrzeuge, Übermüdung der Fahrer und überhöhte Geschwindigkeit gelten oft als Ursachen.

One has to be a real *********** to refer to the bad technical shape of Polish buses in clear case like that !

USA, Canada / Moved back from Canada to Poland:). Here are the reasons why. [868]

"more opportunity in Poland"

But only for Poles which are used to local ... hmm ... conditions.
Returning (in the 90-ties) was probaly the best decision of my life and quite a challenge.

However my dream job would be "Vive la mort, vive la guerre, vive le sacre mercenaire." LOL

History / Lwów, Wilno ... kresy - Poland have lost enormoust part of our heritage... [389]

I don't see what were you pointing at.

The site makes collection of different links and among them you can find a map with distribution of nationalities in "Polish" prewar Lithuania.

Sorry but if I post link to the map only, you will not be able to see it (only information from Angelfire admin).

BTW. Some German links there are quite interesting but rather off topic.

All the surrounding territories, even as far as Holm, Peremyshel and around Vilnius were settled from times unknown by Ukrainians and Lithuanians,

Wrong again my friend.
Let us discuss Vilnius-area only and look at the pre-war minorities structure of "Polish" Lithuania:

During occupation of the Lithuanian capital by Poland

Good joke.
Polish "occupation" of Wilno having 60+% Polish "minority", 30+ % Jews and last but not least 1% Lithuanians.
BTW. Using these criteria and similar figures one can speak of Ukrainian occupation of Lviv today LOL.

History / German cemeteries in Wroclaw [17]

Dead bodies are dead. They can't be your enemy.

Well ... I like your pragmatism.
And my guess is that majority of the young Poles today are ready to share this opinion.
But older generation (even my parents' one), given their post-war trauma and commie brainwashing was ready to accept the most barbaric "pay backs" like destroying on purpose old German cementaries or removal German tombstone inscriptions.

Just in order to prove the "eternal" Polish character of lands Poland gained as result of ww2.

Thanx God it's over now.
