Love / Polish Girls vs Russian Girls [813]

freebird, have you met Amathyst?
Amathyst, this is freebird.

You two have something to talk about! :D

:) nice to see someone with the same view as me :)

As for:-

I dunno? I dont think its nationality thats important, its how you were brought up...your environment and that enviroment grows into its nation.

Who the hell are you to judge women on their behavour! Oh and as for South African girls, I hear that they are up for it as my English male friends tell me! So it would appear that they are as just as bad as their slutty European counterparts!

News / What is wrong with Poland that Poles emigrate? [167]

Yet 30 years ago Ireland was poor, agricultural, backward state. Irish people emigrated to USA, England and other better states. Now they can earn betten in their own country than outside :).

I think you will find the Irish have been leaving Ireland for a lot longer than 30 years and also the main reason a lot of Irish left Ireland in the 1970s was because of the troubles and not because it was a "poor" country! please read some history or at last have a little bit of understanding of a country before you write something!

UK, Ireland / Warning to British people visiting Poland!! Don't get drunk and smash the place up! [447]

There are quite a few clubs who will not allow britsh people in because they get over loaded with booze and cause trouble. i witnessed it and it very embarassing.

Good, its not taken Poland to do this, it took a while in the Czech Rep to recognise this :)

And that's wrong. They should simply crush empty skulls of these, who are making mess and leave others alone.

Lets just bar them from clubs, thats punishment enough I think, or maybe the odd kicking :)

I have been to Krakow so I know exactly what you mean, but not all English are the same, I agree that some English dont know how to behave whilst they are in another country, but that doesnt go for all. Maybe if they realise that their options are limited when they go to Poland i.e. they wont get in clubs etc, this might be a deterant for the idiots. I wrote some time ago about how I was horrified how Prague had gone over the last 10 years and hoped that Krakow would not go the same, Im pleased that they are acting quickly by putting measures in place and are not offer accommodation to these kind of parties and not addmitting them in to clubs.

In many cases they are not uneducated dumbos but professional males who act like loonies when away with their mates. Best solution would be to photograph them and stick the images on a web site where their wives could see them.

lol, now that would put a stop to "jollies away with the boys"

Hmmm, szarlotka, Amethyst, and others arent you too hard on your own people? Some of the Poles also tend to be hard on other Poles. Yeah, one of the main reasons for the decline of European nations is the fact that members of the nations don't like each other, are harsh on each other.

Its difficult for you to understand, if I go to another country where it has had problems with British people, then Im going to feel the backlash from that, I have said if you read my posts that its just an element not a majority of English that cause problems....but still its still causing problems for the rest of us who just want to enjoy some beautiful cities around the world.

UK, Ireland / Warning to British people visiting Poland!! Don't get drunk and smash the place up! [447]

Puzzler, Last year when I was in Krakow, I was sat having a lovely evening drink with a friend on the old town square, where people were sat with their familes, then the singing of crude songs started by some scousers, you know we did, we got up and left because it wasn't pleasant to hear or see. So you see if an English person doesnt want to be subjected to this kind of behaviour, then god only knows how the locals feel about it. Its disrespectful.

What I dont understand, maybe Lef can clarify this for me, but how can someone who lives in Aus and will be "investing foreign money" if he decides to go back to live in the land where he was possibly born, could be any different to anyone else investing and buying property over there...hmmmm Im really confused? Maybe someone can help me out, Im having a dumn brunette day :)

It's not foreign money if you are going back to live there

My point LIR is that foreigners can usually aford to pay more because of the economic differences, this is a factor, whilst everyone is blaming the British for upping the prices in Poland, what about the 1000s of Polish that work abroad, earn good money and buy properties in Poland are they not adding to this??......

Travel / Which city is better to visit: Warsaw or Krakow? [169]

Never been to Warsaw, but I can say Krakow is a vibrant wonderful city...like any other major city around the world with a rich history and all that comes with it. I can say that I have never felt so safe in all my life walking the streets, lots of guards and Police and a wonderful park to go and chill in, in the summer around the city...but Im sure Warsaw offers something different...A bit like Oxford and London both have their plus and their minus points

That has distorted the housing market and does to a degree account for some of the higher prices, especially at first time buyer range. This has had some effect with the first time buyers in the market. But, the percentages for Poland would be very different. It is minimal, a mere drop in the ocean. It really cannot be compared at this moment in time :(

But none the less it has made a difference, it would be interesting to see if Polish abroard are buying properties for buy to let, its a pension at the end of the day and who can blame them, they were forced to leave the comfort of their own homes / families in search of a better life...and when weighing up the prices of property in the UK, Poland is a much better option, a friend of mine and her b/f have just bought land, they have managed to save this amount of money in the UK in just 12 months.

The English have been doing this for years, my uncle worked out in the Middle East raking it in and paid his mortgage off in 3 years (many moons ago :) )

I dont know the figures, so I cant debate, I just feel for those who have stayed in Poland and are losing out because of it, the same as I feel for people who cant aford to get on the property ladder here in the UK...The gap in poverty in old age will be massive, those that have and those that dont....I know this has always been the case, but I cant help feeling it will be much worse in years to come.

Life / Gypsies or Roma: European and Polish attitudes towards [87]

Funnily enough there was a programme on last night - Panarama - and it was about numbers of immigrants in Slough and the people living in Slough thought they (Roma) were scum and in general were afraid to walk the streets after dark in some areas.

Here is an example:-

There was a family of 24 living in a 3 bed house with one bathroom, guess what they used the garden and the entry at the back of the house as a toilet...they estimate about 400 / 500 live in Slough, also social services find it hard to deal with situations where there is a pregnant 14 year old girl married to a 15 year old boy ....and yes they beg on the street, I have only seen a couple in Manchester, but thats enough for me.

you have some things developes like your NHS system

I speak to a guy on skype and he was surprised that we have to wait so long in A&E to see a doctor, I also speak to a guy (he is what we call in England a Paramedic I cant remember the name in Poland) but your health service is probably the same as ours in terms of treatment and probably better in terms of people being seen faster...so you see Poland isnt as bad as people may think....

As for your government, maybe they should spend less money on hunting people from communist times and more on present times
