Work / Teaching English in Poland....CELTA or TESOL certificate? [66]

Hi,
New to this forum.
I just wondered if the English language teachers on here might offer some advice which teaching qualification is better recognized in Poland......CELTA or TESOL?

I am moving to Lublin early next year and would like to do a teaching course in England before I come to broaden my earning options.

Thanks in anticipation...

Work / Teaching English in Poland....CELTA or TESOL certificate? [66]

Hi,
I posted on this forum a few months ago regarding English language teaching opportunities in Lublin.
Since then I have taken the one month intensive CELTA course here in London.
I am planning my move to Lublin in early March and would welcome any advice or help you might be able to offer to enable me to find work...

Work hard and aim for a graded pass. Rule of thumb for the CELTA; IF you think "That'll do", it probably won't.

Prepare to have no life. Not even weekends

Are you talking about the CELTA training course?
If so, you're right.....it's been 4 weeks of 16 hour days plus 9 hours a day, Saturday and Sunday...
or
Are you talking about having no life once I'm working???
Now, that would be frightening !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UK, Ireland / Buying an export car from UK (VAT-free) and importing it into Poland [35]

That's because it makes no economical sense, why import a new car from the UK when you can buy a motor from Germany which is older than 6 months, has more than 6,000 km on the clock and you save 25-30% on the price of a new motor in Poland.

As an Englishman living in Poland, can I travel to Germany, buy a used car (under 2 litres) there and drive it back to Poland, pay 2 or 3% duty, and register it here in Poland?

Would I be able to insure it in Germany for my journey back to Poland prior to re-registration?

Law / Can somebody explain ZUS to me? [40]

To Cardno 85........
Out of curiosity, how is one able to opt out of paying ZUS?
Either it is deducted directly from wages by an employer or if self employed, it must be paid monthly...

Law / Can somebody explain ZUS to me? [40]

What's the difference between dzialalnosc gospodarcza and CS?

I have worked enough years in the UK to receive a full UK pension. Is there any way to not pay ZUS if I have no wish to to receive

a) a Polish pension
b) Polish welfare benefits
Medical cover is a different situation but I can get private medical cover.
