News / SHOULD POLAND HAVE NUKES?? [154]

Well, since Pakis and Ruskies have them and Iran will soon too, it only makes sense.

Yep but then again, it would be so much better if no one had them at all.

News / Polish IQ ahead of France, USA, Canada, Israel, Ireland... [47]

What you provided is backing up even more what I think about these tests. Nothing but an unimportant little number, not bringing the bearer anything at all (unless you count the personal satisfaction).

I mean, we are Europeans now, aren't we...:)

Of course you are Europeans but stating this fact has nothing to do with one of your previous posts where you asked me your question as an answer to my question.

Good for Poland. You can only hope that it will have a positive impact on changing the life standard for average people in your country. Until then, all similar achievements are nothing but a "breadless art".

And how important is the efficiency of one nation... ?

What kind of question is that man? lol

News / Polish IQ ahead of France, USA, Canada, Israel, Ireland... [47]

This whole IQ discussion doesn't really make much sense. Anytime you randomly pick few hundred people of one nation, you're chancing to pick the "right" or the "wrong" ones. You might just as well pick a few hundred idiots and the whole country's average IQ number is looking obviously very bad. Besides, what's more important, some very often incorrect measured IQ number or the efficiency of one nation?

Polish IQ ahead of France, USA, Canada, Israel, Ireland...

The IQ itself doesn't make anyone more successful in life. The Germans have a nice saying: "Das ist eine brotlose Kunst" - "This is a breadless art" referring that some endeavor, most likely an honest attempt at creating something, is not going to feed you.

Life / Poles - the Nation of Liars? [478]

If this is the way you feel about the country you are a guest of, I suggest you leave immediately. May I ask you what the f are you doing there? Go home, homeboy.

I fully agree with you if you are fair enough to see it the same way when it comes to Poles living abroad too.

USA, Canada / Why are Polish Americans mocked in the American media? [226]

Are you trying to tell my that living in Poland is somehow extra hard?

I wouldn't necessarily call it hard but it's totally different. The life in the western countries in general is more comfortable. Talking about hard, well most of the Poles I've met over there (some are still my friends) are complaining about the life in Poland.

But at least Poland isn't as boring as US

It's not really that exciting either. If you want to party you go to a bigger town, it doesn't matter where you live. I don't see a big difference between Poland and the US in that matter.

Are you speaking from your personal experience, or just blabbing because you like to? Have you ever visited Poland? Lived there for an extended period of time?

Take your time to read my posts and you will know that I live in Poland for a long while. I believe 4 years is long enough to be able to have an opinion about the life in Poland.

As far as blabbing, I let you do it. You're much better in it.

No comment to Mr. Moron (ironside).

USA, Canada / Why are Polish Americans mocked in the American media? [226]

I have friends who moved to Poland only to return to the States after a few years.

It happens a lot. I know a few of them too.

As for me, I am under no illusions - living in Poland will in no way be like 'visiting' it.

Totally agree with you on that one. It's a nice country to visit it but to live there, it takes a lot of endurance. Even if you have any illusions before you go there, you'll lose them very quickly after arrival.

I do know one thing: there are Poles who would gladly take my spot here in the US.

Most likely :-)

I couldn't agree more with what you've said here (I was born and raised in 'America'). When I leave for Poland, I may not return here - not even to visit.

Go to your promised land man, I was there with my parents and couldn't wait to leave it behind me. You got to have a really strong connection to this country to love it. Then again, I guess, it's a matter of taste too.

You’re getting a taste of your own medicine, besides your reputation precedes you, nothing that was said here about Americans is a lie.

Look at your reputation all around the world before we even start talking about it. I already told you how I feel about it in my thread.

What’s there to prove when even American politicians are cracking Polish Jokes

Well, look what's going on here on PF, you guys are constantly cracking on us and most of you are dead serious about it. Even if our politicians are, like you say, cracking Polish jokes, it's still nothing but jokes and I can bet, none of the politicians is really serious about it.

Still prove it!!!

You know, I don't understand why they even give a damn about it . People talk crap about us and everyone else too, who cares. Besides, I don't see or hear anything about Poles where I live and I don't think that this subject is popular anywhere else in the states either.

For some Americans, exposure to Poles is the 'Dumb Polack' joke.

Even when someone says "Dumb Polack", he usually means this particular person who just peed him off and not all Poles. Besides, I gotta say, the Polish jokes are pretty dead by now.

That's interesting, I never heard anything about Poles in the media when I lived in the states. I don't think the majority of Americans care about Poles one way or another.

Yep, that's the way it is. Never heard anything about Poles where I live either.

Now American men want to marry Polish women for polish papers

How many cases are we talking about here?

It's interesting how roles are reversing...

We're talking about just a few guys that are marrying Polish women and live in Poland so it's way too early to call it a role reversing situation. I personally know of one case from Lublin but that marriage didn't last and he's already back in Ohio.

USA, Canada / Poles and Americans, what do you think, are we friends or enemies? [187]

Poland is making those decisions in the interest of Poland, not the US. Iraq and Afghanistan are about power projection and training, which is something that is important to Poland.

Absolutely right. No one is doing here favors to anyone.

When we denied the missile defense system, the Poles were all mad that "Americans not putting misile no more". Now you got it, and now they complain they did. You can never satisfy a Pole.

Yep, no matter what we do, it will never be good enough and then they wonder why we get this "I don't give a damn attitude".

Don't even start with stereotypes :-) I could make a long list vice versa too. What do you think, what's your reputation around the world? I'm not going to even start with it. No need to insult the entire Polish nation in return just because of some wanna be "intellectual" is trying to insult ours. Open your eyes and see what we've (us stupid Americans) achieved in just a little bit over 200 years, and compare it with your achievements ...so much about "simply digging your own grave" ............Think next time before you say something !

How come Ironsides isnt hollering about that??

Because Soviets were Poland's "best friends" maybe ? lol
Soviets did so much for Poland and no one seems to remember it except for the "liberation" of Poland. How about the invasion of Poland, how about killing Polish officers in Katyn etc...

Not to mention what the Soviets did to Poland's neighbor next door in 1933, starving to death between 7-11 millions of Ukrainian people. How come no one is talking about that?

Its easier for him to bash America,,we all know his agenda!

Yep, it seems like it's his favorite waste of time :-)

If Poland was opposed to communism after the German occupation they would have done the same thing in 1946 like they did in 1922

Well, I'm not so sure about that, Stalin's army was pretty strong to that time, kicking them out could have been pretty tough.

The Poles lived under Polish communism not Russian communism.

Hm, I thought that the directives came from Moscow.
