News / Poland's economics and education against the background of the world [27]

American kids know that competing with them...

Many of our students cannot compete anymore because our school system is crap. When Betsy is done with it, American kids will be the future farm workers of the world.

If the US had brains, it would not allow any foreign students in

You want to take away a big chunk of profit from our colleges and make them even more expensive for our kids? Tsk, tsk...

Life / Why is circumcision not practiced in Poland? [701]

It doesn't hurt a baby as bad as abortion does.

So you enjoy hurting babies when you are not secretly aborting them because you had an affair?

Jews, as with Muslims, have a relatively low rate of contracted venereal disease

Okay, let's try the religious approach then. Why has God given men a foreskin in the first place? So that we can contract VDs easier?

News / Do we finally see that Russia doing something positive for Poland, by successfully resisting to EU ? [44]

the neoliberal consensus absolutely depends on a large pool of interchangeable disposable worker bees

I disagree with you here because worker bees in the traditional sense aren't needed in large numbers any longer. Their work is done by robots now. If you look at the migrants and refugees that flooded Europe over the past years, it's quite obvious that only a small fraction (according to most German sources I've read around 4%) have the skills that are actually needed in advanced European economies. That's where the brown stuff will hit the fan.

Life / What is Poland's view on obesity? How healthy, fit are Poles? [166]

The rest of us became a bunch of touchy-feely enablers by replacing "fat" with "large"

This crazy political correctness and prudishness (blurring every ass and nipple even on artwork, bleeping cuss words on TV) is a very American thing. You won't find it that often elsewhere.

Law / Weapons laws in Poland. Carrying a concealed handgun? [918]

I am just a wee bit tired of your daily Jewish pity parties.

Yeah, but you will never get tired of Netanyahu's daily pity party and the ass kissing of the grifting Trump and Kushner families, right?

A mass murder in a country that has outlawed guns. Hmmm

The first mass shooting since 1996. How many did we have in the US in 2018 alone? Hmmm.

USA, Canada / So happy to be Polish-American [43]

so the DNA says Polish stock

You know that most Europeans have up to 2.6% Neanderthal DNA? Does that mean anything? Nope. Your test results claim you're 38% Polish. Is that information of any value? Not really. If you're truly interested, trace your ancestors like all genealogists do -- by digging through naturalization records, census data, ship's manifests, church records and civil registration records. You'll need proper documentation if you want proof. The DNA test results are only meant as a hint in the right direction, but maybe you're lucky to hook up with distant relatives who also submitted their DNA to Ancestry. In any case, be prepared for decades of work.

USA, Canada / So happy to be Polish-American [43]

It turns out that I am mostly Polish -- 38%

These test results are not 100% reliable when it comes to pinpointing the geographical origins of your ancestors. You'll have to back everything up with documents like civil registration records or church book entries before you can be certain.

The rest of your post sounds like trolling.

News / Poland in the European Union. Polexit? [559]

The interesting times for EU are ahead.

Maybe we are seeing the beginning of a "reset" -- the dissolution of the EU and its immediate resurrection with a small number of members such as Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

While I agree with these tariff's I do not think that they should include America's military allies.

If you look at the top five exporters of steel and aluminum to the US you will see that Trump's tariffs hit Canada the most. As a side note: many of China's exports in this sector are based on raw materials from Australia, so he will hurt them as well. The guy has strange preferences.

Notice how different the graduation rates are between whites overall and even hispanics compared to blacks.

Then something's wrong in our society, don't you think?

Total gun confiscation like Australia

That's not what it was, Adrian. They banned semi-automatic weapons, prohibited their import and implemented a countrywide buyback program. Most people gave up their weapons voluntarily, and it worked. No more mass shootings, suicides down significantly.

that doesn't mean a policy that works in Australia or Germany or even Canada will work in the US.

If you don't try, you won't find out. That's the problem of believing in the concept of exceptionalism: it prevents you from learning and seeing things from a different angle.

Almost all due to ILLEGAL guns - not legal ones.

That doesn't really matter. Where did all the guns come from in the first place? The number of weapons has exploded in the past two or three decades.

Poland only welcomes certain immigrants that fit a simple criteria - work, assimilate, contribute and don't cause problems

I was talking about legal immigration, of course.

We're the richest most powerful country in the world and the US dollar is the most popular currency int he world.

And? We lose tens of thousands of people to gun violence each year, our school system is a joke, child poverty (a.k.a. "food insecurity") and abuse abounds, drug addiction is a major problem - just to name a few. Nothing exceptional or something to be proud of here. America is a great country in many respects, but there are also heaps of other nations out there which do certain things much better than us.

Do you have any idea who you are talking to ?

Is that you, Sig? Ha ha ha.

school shootings ... We pretty much all universally condemn them

No, you never have, you still don't and you never will. All you do is sending "thoughts and prayers". Remember what action the NRA took after Sandy Hook when the vast majority demanded some gun control? That's right, me neither. They went mute and after a week or so that dipsh*it LaPierre reappeared with his "brilliant" idea of arming teachers and putting armed guards in front of our schools. What's next? Security guards with a 9mm Magnum in front of day care centers? Metal detectors and bomb sniffing dogs in movie theatres? Full body cavity search before you are allowed to enter a grocery store? If you can't see what's wrong with this picture, then I'm afraid I can't help you. The NRA and their minions, the GOP, have never done anything to protect the American people from gun violence. Their only answer is "more guns" so that the manufacturers can up their sales and donate additional millions to the Republican Party. That's what it's all about: money and greed.

you seemingly have never made a single positive utterance of in any of your posts to date.

You've been here for 4 months, how do you know? LOL!

If you think that blindly following Trump into the abyss is what "makes America great again", then go ahead. I for one prefer a tolerant nation that continues to be welcoming to immigrants and that doesn't allow its children to be massacred by brainless fools who think that an automatic weapon and a rocket launcher is a God given right granted by the Constitution. Voicing criticism does not equal anti-Americanism, but people like you will probably never understand that concept. There is no American exceptionalism, my friend, and if you ever manage to cross your county line and travel a bit, you will find out.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or sporting. It is designed with the express intent as a final check against government tyranny.

So you really believe that a government tyranny is even remotely possible in the US? Don't have much trust in our country, have you? Or are you simply paranoid and hiding in your home waiting for the government to take away your guns and arrest you? Don't try to excuse the massacres of Sandy Hook, Las Vegas or the Florida high school with your lack of trust in our government. You are coming across as truly mental.

Trump on tv saying that both background checks will be enhanced specifically mental health will be far more scrutinized

Not really. At the moment he's planning to cut funding for the National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

No, he wasn't. The invasion of France started on 10 May 1940.
