She married him because she couldn't marry her love and money. But in the end it's a tragic story of a women looking for love all her life not realising she has it.

She irritates me but I do feel sorry for her

As to Sharik- as long as they didn't kill him prematurely to do it it doesn't bother me too much.

That German soldier`s name is unimportant, he is the assistant/secretary/typist for the Gestapo officer who interrrogates the Polish POW

That I knew :) And he had to do it only bacuse his superior couldn't :D

Judging by his/its long dark coat, it must be Cywil,

If it was us attacking them I would say you are right but when you are attacked you .

So I will give some more hints before I will step in with an answer. Maybe someone will know. Plus we have to wait for Chemikiem- she will start screaming seeing new riddle tread but she will be hooked non the less :)

The movie is based on a very famous book :)

Do you mean they played you that film since you were a baby? And when you didn`t want to eat they pacified you with it?

As you know these movies are played on the TV every holiday- and it was my parents who had the TV power so they were played all the time

Hint for Doug- it's fiction movie.

Maybe he's confusing it with regular sauerkraut or sauerkraut with bits of pork or something?

That's why I suggested the kapusta zasmażana. Especially in Silesia a very popular side dish .

I love it with bread. And this conversation really made me bigos hungry :)

@ Kaprys - I was never a fan of chlodnik. Deffinately not my cup of tea

I've never seen, in any restaurant in Poland, bigos as a side dish. Never. It is the main course.

Maybe some other Poles will chip in and write aboit their expiriences
Oh and bigos and potatoes is common but never with extra meat or something similar. Bigos works as the portion of meat
