I thought about that....and frankly I doubt that.
Trump is not that important in the greater scheme of things. He is neither that charismatic or that smart or really that suitable for his job, but he has become a figurehead for a whole movement/development that happens everywhere in the West. He was at the right time in the right place, so to speak!
But even if not successfull, the reasons for that movement he stands for, promised to work and to speak for, are still relevant, still unsolved, will exist further even without him.
In the US the Dems, in Germany the SPD/Greens, have yet to acknowledge these developments, have yet to find answers, have yet to change/adapt their positions to become again an electable alternative for the majority.
And till that happens I doubt the US will/can go back to the old times before Trump. Frankly spoken, even when Trump doesn't fulfill his promises, I very much doubt someone like Kamala Harris will profit from it, as a majority of people still want these promises fulfilled!
