Food / What Polish foods do foreigners generally not take to? [115]

Americans are usually fond of the stereotypical old standbys: kapusta, kiełbasa, gołąbki, pierogi, krupnik, naleśniki, pączki and a few other favourites

Oh, Yes! I love it! You forgot about my favorite, Zrazy!!!!

but often draw the line at such things as tripe (flaki), black pudding (kaszanka), jellied pig trotters (zimne nogI) and aspic dishes in general.

Ewww, that rivals the plastic cheese. LoL

UK, Ireland / What can I say/do about my Polish neighbours in the UK? [65]

Once more, Joker, the Poles don't have a monopoly on playing loud music etc.

More like drunk driving is their forte.
Our dear Polish neighbor kid was drunk driving 135 mph on a residential street, he hit a van full of children and killed 4 people and himself.

This just happened a few weeks ago. So don't lecture me about immigrants in my country!

r, then the note inside the lift idea might do the trick:-)

Or a nice baseball bat will do the trick:)

what do you want? the police to come round and shoot them?

No, The first time the police come they usually warn you, the 2nd time they will issue a ticket, the 3rd time they arrest you.

The crime is called disturbing the peace or disorderly conduct take your pick.

Its doesn't matter if its loud music, parties, And yes throwing tables around an apartment building is included.

If it sounds like domestic violence, the cops will come and you will go....LoL

There are rules in the US and UK the immigrant Poles refuse to follow, let them be arrested, deported, it`s their own ignorance that gets them into trouble.

But these people are not illegal immigrants. They have a legal right to be in the UK so it wouldn't make any difference.

Thats the problem, they know they can get away with it in the UK.
Their mentality is who cares about rules when they aren't going to be enforced?

You can only call the police if the noise constitutes a breach of the peace

Pretty lax laws in the UK, Cops don't have guns, you can just laugh at them and do as you please....LoL

Frankly, the Polish people in the UK are the least of our worries. Stop trying to stir the pot.

I know there is a huge Muslim problem in the UK and many other European countries.
they will slam or ban you on this PC forum for talking about it.

Powodzenia!!

Im British and yes had problems with neighbours in past that were foreign

No worries, You're not the first Brit to come here with these kind of problems.
There`s been plenty of threads from the British complaining how the Poles are ruining their county.

I wonder if this has contributed to BREXIT?

The most annoying things is he runs about very heavily, more so than a regular child and sounds like he is intentionally knocking over furniture as he does loud laughter afterwards,

so he could use whole garden then went on about "lazy Brittish", 2 tenants in my building moved out due to HIS noise another drove lorries so away long periods

He sounds like typical ignorant immigrant!

Why don't you call the Police?

You can get arrested in the US for "disturbing the peace".

Hope no one is offended by my comments.

No, I seen this behavior before, they don't believe or follows rules, no respect for anyone or your country at all!

Keep calling the police, there has to be some kind of noise ordinance.

Too bad you don't have immigration enforcement police in the EU.

Most of these idiots are Illegal in the US and fear the police being called on them, so they have to act semi-civilized.

Travel / Flying from USA to Poland in June - Will Visa now be required??? [31]

Europe on the other hand does not really like Americans and Americans can feel that cold shoulder.

It isn't a very hospitable place to visit. I rather spend my money elsewhere:)

Europe is very unsafe right now

With almost daily terrorist attacks, their tourism industry is going to fail soon anyway.

Most of my friends that have gone to Poland say after two weeks they are ready to come home because it is a very boring place where people do not smile.

Thats spot on!

Start saving your foot stamps.

Ive been to Poland twice already you sad grumpy old man.

If Poland were to make it anymore difficult to visit as it is already off the beaten path by demanding a visa, I am afraid it would be more then a shot in the foot to Poland.

I hope they do it!

America should never let Poland into the visa wavier program, they already have been proven to be untrustworthy.
It would be a mass exodus to the USA if we were to do so. We already have enough cheap labor and don't need them.

No, I meant if someone is going to spend $3k to $5k for a vacation to Poland for two weeks to visit a couple of tourist attractions may be swayed to go some place else that does not require the hassle of a visa.

That would be the last nail in the coffin of an already overpriced vacation.

I would rather go somewhere warmer, weather and people:)

[quote=johnny reb]Tourism brings in a lot of cash to a lot of people so why would they want to discourage it in Poland.[/quote

Out of spite

Requiring a visa for Americans that are willing to drop $3-5k

Nobody will pay this astronomical fee for a visa.

Americans going to Poland to stay illegally to make big money with no intentions of returning ?

Pure Fantasy....LoL

EU this year but the hate and drama that I see certainly is not inviting.

Europe has turned into a hot bed of terrorism. No Thanks!

Costa Rica is looking better and better every day to me personally.

I know a couple who purchased a winter home there about 10 years ago and they love it!

Plus the weather is nice year around as are the people.

I rather go someplace tropical with a friendly atmosphere instead of the gloomy EU

Gee, I think I just convinced myself that the EU ain't worth the hassle even without a visa requirement.

They really have nothing to offer for a vacation and it's not safe, costs way too much, not to mention all the unfriendly attitudes.

However this resolution is non-binding and must be placed before the European Commission who will decide whether the resolution will be passed.

I hope they pass it, for sure, then they might, possibly stop whining about it! LoL

it is long overdue.

No way, they are notorious for overstaying their visas and breaking our rules.

I wonder how much tourism Europe will lose?

Not many Americans will want to go through the hassle of the visa process to visit old decrepit and overpriced Europe.
We rather go some place much nicer, like the Caribbean:)

It's not even safe in Europe anymore......Froooogetttt about it:(:(:(

Off-Topic / What is funny about this picture? [31]

"Isn't bullying the traditional British way of things."

Its common practice for the British to gang up bully people on this forum.

One can assume this is how they behave in their natural habitat.
