At least 11 people were stabbed during a bloody incident at Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses say shoppers fled for their lives after a suspect brandished a knife inside the Walmart Supercenter on Crossing Circle just after 5pm.

Two of the victims used lipstick and cars keys to defend themselves but the assailant ignored their attempts and stabbed them anyway.

He admitted later that he wouldn't try to do the same in a nearby gun store. He didn't elaborate why and the reporters didn't ask.
