Same here Cargo. These guys are living in the past and haven't a clue about modern Poland. The people were very friendly and outgoing, the exact opposite of what they're saying.

Im sure when they go out they just stare/observe and don't talk to anyone. No wonder, they rub ppl the wrong way and carry this attitude around.

Krakow is a beautiful city and has a lot of interesting things to do during the summer. If youre earning $60k you'll be fine. You do know about what happens in winter, with the coal burning?

Have you ever been to Poland? If you cant make a decent living in the USA don't expect it to happen in Poland. The wages are a lot lower and the cost of living is much greater when you compare the wages you will possibly earn. Most Americans that move to Poland already have a nest egg saved up, then you can live comfortably.

Perhaps, if you find a little place in the country, but Krakow, bring some money....

I visited a few homes in Poland where everyone takes off their shoes and they provide you slippers, not uncommon at all.

People may be insulted by not taking off your shoes. I forgot once, and they let me know quicker than a Japanese restaurant! lol

Actually, Rzeszow is a cool fun town. There is big contrast between the old ugly commie buildings and new modern ones.

I used to smoke. Its a really nasty habit and Im glad I was able to quit, It was one of the hardest things I ever did! Having said that. The stench of cigs really bothers me now, but when ppl smoke weed it actually smells good and doesn't bother me at all:)


Society has become extremely negative towards smokers. They changed the laws so you can't smoke in a Pub and the patrons have to go outside and stand in an alley durning the middle of winter. You cant smoke at sporting events or concerts anymore, even when it is outside. The worst insulting thing Ive seen was recently at Chopin airport, where smokers were confined inside this glass looking vestibule, just standing there, puffing away with this big cloud of smoke hanging above them. If you didn't have any cigs you could just walk in there and get a fix...

Those were meat pierogis, but Babcia will make all different varieties and some awesome globaki also:) Its too much food for me. I ate so much, I thought my belly was going to explode.
