na jakim ty świecie chłopie żyjesz

hahaha you are so desperate you forgot English?

However, stop twisting and manipulating. I asked you a very simple question.

Again:

Did VAT gap disappear under PiS rule?

As you have to answer: No, next question:

Does it mean PiS goes hand in hand with VAT mafias?

Answer this last simple question, you liar.

History / Warsaw Rising 1944 - National Disaster or Triumph of Spirit ? [515]

Today, another anniversary of Warsaw Rising.
My opinion hasn`t changed for years, what I wrote on page 1 is still valid.

I looked through the thread and there is nothing about far-reaching consequences of the Rising. I have heard those opinions a few times in my life. They are hard to prove but there might be a grain of truth after all.

In 1944 Poles proved that fighting for freedom, they were ready to sacrifice tens of thousands lives and the city, too. Didn`t Soviets remember about it when they occupied Poland after the war? Surely they did. There were two aborted Soviet interventions in Polish postwar history - in 1956 and 1980. We talked about it in other threads. Soviets were ready to intervene and the tank engines were warming up, yet, the order to halt the action came in the last moment.

Did Soviets hesitate and give up because they remembered Warsw Rising? It is not so unimaginable.

Read about Soviet planned interventions in Poland
1956
jstor.org/stable/20451318?seq=1#page_scan_tab_contents

1980
wilsoncenter.org/sites/default/files/ACFB35.PDF

An interesting quote from the Polish communist leader at the time - he told the Soviets in 1980:

At what may have been his finest hour, Kania did all he could to convince the Soviet chief that "if there were an intervention there would be a national uprising. Even if angels entered Poland," Kania predicted, "they would be treated as bloodthirsty vampires and the socialist ideas would be swimming in blood."

If the invasion had taken place, and the Soviets had installed their direct military rule in Poland in 1980, the collapse of communism would be delayed for many years. Fortunately, it fell in 1989.

In this way, if we assume that Warsaw Rising influenced the thinking of Poland`s enemies and made them resign from taking drastic action with possible tragic consequences, it might be considered a Triumph of Spirit.

Why are you lying again? There has been investigation run by PiS since 2015. Was anybody convicted of criminal activity? No. Was anybody taken to court for political negligence? No. What did Tusk do with PiS parliamentary investigators when they tried to involve him in VAT gap? He smashed their allegations into pieces and made incompetent fools of them.

Did VAT gap disappear during PiS rule? No, it still exists. According to your thesis, does it mean PiS is hand in hand with mafias?

Answer me.

How Tusk knocked out the VAT gap parliamentary commission run by PiS

It is incredible how you insist on lying so blatantly. In this way you are wasting any credibility that you might have gained here for years. Don`t you understand that each of your posts in a new discussion in the future will be countered with you liar reply?

Liar. liar. hahaha

Thanks for reminding us about milk. For 30 years, until 2015, the EU imposed limits on milk production. Polish farmers also complained about it and feared exceeding the quotas. Fortunately, the restrictions are not supposed to come back.

They can't defend PiS behavior so they just say that PO was worse

Yes, it is normal that PiS lying media do it because they are paid for it. Their primitive propaganda is directed at those brainless voters.

But when guys come here and do the same, what should we think about it?

PO was very far from perfect or even good...)

Yes, exactly, but their time passed and now it is PiS` time. I am trying to make gumishu aware of it but he sort of refuses to understand it,. Brainless or deranged?

hahaha

how do you know PO and its cronies didn't grant themselves bonuses in the similar amounts

Contrary to you, I hardly ever write sth that I didn`t check before. :):)

In short, bonuses in PiS government were 12 times higher than those in PO`s.

wiadomosci.onet.pl/kraj/nik-nagrody-rzadu-pis-dwanascie-razy-wyzsze-niz-za-czasow-po-psl/lyw5btv

There is also a special site concerning all ways in which PiS is sucking public money like leeches. It is called PiSbonuses and provides info on millions earned by PiS in :

- local councils
- agricultural agency
- government

And to sum up, it provides a ranking of all PiS cronie millionaires syphoning off the state budget.

premiepis.pl/

PS. Gumishu, it is high time you realised you have no chance in this discussion. Stop defending PiS with PO analogies because it is useless and you are only making a fanatic fool of yourself. :):)

n times of PO you talked about the achievements of PO government mostly - why don't you talk about PiS achievements now

I see you still have a problem with logic. If I support PO, it is natural I focus on their successes. I you like PiS, you can write about their successes. Why me? Did you write about PO`s achievements in the past? No. So why do you demand me to do it about PiS? Your logic is somehow twisted.

But it is also manipulative logic. I tried to be impartial and started a thread about PO`s failures. Are you able to do it about PiS` failures? No. Why? Because you are the same liar and manipulator as the whole PiS. :):)

they eventually lowered them quite significantly - do you remember any such move on the part of PO during their rule?

No, but I remember that PiS granted themselves a lot of extra bonuses, much more than PO.

HA!

and seriously ? you never heard of the word crony before? don't you read internet in English?

Hardly ever. I mostly read Polish sites. And here, mostly Polish threads. In fact, all English posts here are written by my wife. E..g, now, you are also discussing things with her. And I see she is chasing you into the corner in each post.

Dagmar, you are the most brilliant woman I have ever met. Thank you for being my wife and mother to my kids.

Misiewicz, Macierewicz's little pet spend 57 568 zl in a year on his car

And there are thousands such Misiewiczes, also called PiSiewiczes, in hundreds state companies controlled by the PiS government. They are sucking this country like insatiable leeches.

most of these positions were occupied by PO cronies before PiS came to power

And now there are PiS cronies. Thanks, I learnt a new word. :):)

honestly I don't know where you people were when PO was in power - in a mousehole?

Did I tell you already to take Buerlecithin syrop for better memory? You have a very short one. I have already mentioned it that in times of PO rule we discussed freely their faults.

Check this ancient thread again, you contributed immediately, see post No 4. Can you see who started the thread? Pawian. ha!!

https://polishforums.com/news/poland-failures-tusk-government-51598/#msg1115814

Sorry for calling your opinions idiotic but what else can be said if you still mention PO`s things after PiS has ruled for nearly 4 years now?

Don`t you agree it is a very logical attitude: in times of PO we discuss PO, in times of PiS we discuss PiS?
Heh? What say you?

I have to admit I misunderstood it -

OK, you withdraw your lies. Thank you. :):)

I posted about the earnings of Aleksander Grad (he raked in 55 thousand PLN a month) a nuclear plant in Polan

Yes, and when PiS changed the board and replaced it with PiS cronies, do you think they gave up those earnings? No, they kept them for nearly two years. hahaha

tvn24bis.pl/z-kraju,74/ile-zarabia-prezes-spolki-pge-ej1,844096.html

spent 1.5 BILLION PLN on 'expertyzy'

Nearly 1 billion was spent from 2009 to 2019. Most of this sum during PiS rule.

that was supposed to build a nuclear plant in Poland - and it built exactly nothing but spent 1.5 BILLION PLN on 'expertyzy'

First, you inserted LGBT into the discussion about financial abuse by PiS politicians. When you realised it didn`t help and more people came to critisize your silly defense of PiS fraudsters, you decided to lie blatantly. Can you show us the sources which prove that PO squandered 1.5 billion on dubious experts` opinions?

When you don`t do it, and I know it for sure. I will show you sources proving that PiS has spent more on delayed nuclear energy project than PO.

Agreed, you liar? Or do you prefer fanatic liar? hahaha

famous slogan coined by former PM Beata Szydło as aguidance for all PiS political activists - "Pokora, Praca, Umiar". Yes - Restraint, stupid!

Exactly. What nice words! :):)

that PIS would end this corruption and patronage - they have not done that and I agree that it has probably got worse.

How true! You are virtually taking words out of my mouth. :):)

To sum up, guys defending PiS - don`t be such idiots and stop making analogies to PO. PO paid for their mistakes with lost elections in 2015 and 2019. NOW it is PiS`s time. This thread was created in 2019 and we are talking about PiS`s frauds. So fek off PO and focus on your beloved PiS.

hahaha I don`t have time to discuss things for a while cause I am going to THE hospital, but in the evening.....

I watch Wiadomości TVP quite often (but not really regularly) and I haven't seen anything like you claim in months -

If I am a fanatic, what are you if you admit such a thing? Brainless is the lightest expression. Or, why don`t you tell us you are on PiS payroll? Did you, like most PiS executives, get a position through connections, not skills or qualifications, ? :):)

just vote for Lewica altogether - at least you will have your much wanted homo marriages

hahaha you are really at a loss of arguments if you bring up LGBT while we are talking about sucking the state by PiS. Again, let me repeat - do you realise how stupidly you discuss? :):)

As for 700 flights by PO, shall I mention all trips home by PiS politicians, by plane or car, which they have done since 2015? Shall I remind you of all positions in state companies that PiS grabbed for themselves? Shall I remind you of all extra bonuses that they secretly paid to themselves? And many more things? I can remind you of all openly dirty or morally suspicious things here for everybody to see that PiS are bigger leeches than PO ever was.

more serious things happened during the PO rule as

this is one of the examples of abusing state funded flights by PO officials

hahaha How did I know that you and your sort would answer like this? I have been posting about PiS thievery since February and the only answer you have is PO this, PO that.

Don`t you realise how stupidly you react? :):) When PO ruled, we could freely talk abour their faults. Now, with examples of PiS thievery, you suggest PiS is still OK because PO was worse, (which is not true, BTW).

You ssss...... (now I will not finish not to offend ladies with a foul language). :)

So, final reminder - PO HASN`T BEEN IN POWER SINCE 2015, PIS HAS. Every case of criminal or suspicious behaviour goes into PiS` account.

The latest political scandal is again made by PiS leeches who believe they can suck the state at will because they DESERVE it after winning elections. .

Radio Zet's investigating journalists found out that the Speaker of Polish Parliament, Kuchciński, was flying together with his family in the government's plane. First reports confirmed six flights, now they are talking about many more. Of course, Kuchciński didn`t pay for his trips. Yesterday he contributed to charity.

Reactions? As usual in similar cases. The opposition demands dismissal, PiS and rightwing media say nothing serious happened. Parasites.

This one miniature rabbit that we have is a bit wild and she loves escaping.

The same with the slider turtle. Firstly, he loves sunbathing but when sb approaches, he immediately takes a dive. You can`t play with him at all. It is unfair. Secondly, if not for the fence, he would wander off far from the pool. Once he did and we were looking for him for an hour. I am thinking of making the pool bigger, maybe next year.

History / Modern myths and legends about communist past in Poland [250]

didn't things get a little bit better once martial law was imposed?

On the surface, yes. Shortages were not as acute as before because the regime introduced paramilitary system in factories and other workplaces - one could be easily accused of sabotage or desertion, whatever. People didn`t want to take such risks.

However, life was still difficult. I was obsessed with bodybuilding then, and I needed high protein diet. If I didn`t buy cottage cheese before 9am, I could kiss it good bye for the day - it disappeared from shops. Cottage cheese! Not to mention meat.... and so on.

History / Modern myths and legends about communist past in Poland [250]

I see, thanks.

Let`s deal with another myth.

I imagine people who didn`t live in Poland during communism are prone to imagine the system was always homogenous. I can see it in questions which non-Poles ask sometimes.

Polish communism wasn`t uniform throughout those decades, there were a few periods with different approach:

1945-1956 - murderous stalinist regime of Soviet puppets. Patriots who didn`t support the system or completely innocent people were imprisoned, tortured, often executed. The country was impoverished after the war yet communists imposed the creation of heavy industry to produce armament for the Warsaw Pact. Rationing. Motto of the system - All power into people`s hands.

1956-1970 - Gomułka`s rule. No more mass executions, but dissidents were still persecuted. The beginning of intelligentsia`s resistance to the system. Life was simple, most people could afford only basic things. Hardly any investment in economy. 1970 - workers` revolt after a drastic price rise. Motto of the system - "small stabilisation."

1971-1980 - Gierek`s rule. Incredible opening to the West - imported goods, licenses, travelling abroad. Also, huge pay rises. Futher industrialisation and development of new branches. Much of it financed with foreign loans - from Western governments and private banks. The crisis began in 1976 with workers` revolt against price rise. This time workers were aided by the intelligentsia and first united opposition was born. Motto of the system - A Pole can do it!orLet Poland grow stronger and people live more affluently

1980-1981 - a few communist leaders` rule. Solidarity was born, communists in retreat. Foreign loans - 22 billion $. Complete chaos in economy, rationing of food and goods. Frequent strikes, also national. Motto of the system:Go back to work.

1981-1989 - general Jaruzelski`s rule. After martial law Solidarity was banned and most of the opposition landed in prisons, but the resistance of the society to the system didn`t diminish. The crisis continued, zero investment, economy collapsed, there was no money even to pay installments to 40 billion loans. Finally, strikes and unrest, communists decided to talk with the opposition. Motto of the system: Opposition - there is no freedom without Solidarity. Communists: No talks with Wałęsa or Solidarity.

loads of hamsters to collect that amount!

No, one is enough. Various sources say from 15 to 60 kg. rzeplin.pl/c-d-chomik-europejski/

BTW, I recalled the idiom cause hamsters have returned to our area. I found a young one on the drive, probably killed by cats at night. My kids found a giant hole under the bush nearby.

Life / Owning a house in true countryside of Poland - stories [692]

The rabbit is always outside while two cats are always inside. We prefer not to let them out cause the grey one always goes wild and climbs those tall walnut trees. I had to take him down a few times because he was too scared. My kids still recall one rescue operation 3 or 4 years ago - it was a real challenge and I was a bit scared too becaue the cat was about 8 metres up. :):)

Inside they climb everywhere, too:

Honey berries are the earliest fruit in Poland - some varieties ripen in May. But I prefer to wait till June, they are sweeter then which counterbalances their natural bitterness. Yes, don`t be misled by their look similar to blueberries - they have a different taste. I planted two dozen bushes hoping my kids will devour them in handfuls. I was so wrong. :):)

Yes, except it`s not about money, but things which are considered of little worth.

Besides, last year I learnt its deeper meaning - to hide and then forget where you put it, just like real hamsters do in nature - they are able to collect 50 kilograms of grain and never use it all through winter.

Life / Do you know these characters from Polish movies? [223]

Now a woman whose face was mentioned

She had the face of Pola Raksa, in Autobiography by Perfect from 1982.

Is the photo from the film Satan from Class 7?

Yes, Nikoś, the modern version of the old film, set in post communist times.
