And - we've returned/deported 34,978 migrants over the past 9 months, a 30% increase on the Tories' last two years in office

as Labour are imploding a little bit more each day

No we aren't.

and has left the country in a terrible mess

You're confusing us with the useless Johnson, Truss and Sunak.

if a general election isn't called for soon

Why would we call one? The Tories didn't. And he has a mathematically undefeatable supermajority.

BTW:
- we're now starting to puncture the Channel dinghies and return unwanted migrants (which the Tories never did),
- we have signed trade deals with the US and India
- we have increased the minimum wage by 7%, benefitting 3 million British workers
- and made a £22.6 billion increase to NHS spending
- cut waiting lists for 5 months in a row
- started to renationalise the railways (rather than let foreign private companies rip us off)
- banned no-fault evictions and limited sky-high ground rents
- achieved the fastest‑growing G7 economy in Q1 2025: GDP rose 0.7%, outperforming all other G7 countries
- Saved 5,000 steelworkers jobs in Scunthorpe and Port Talbot
- started restoring fiscal stability, enabling the Bank of England to cut interest rates four times since the election

and....

The FTSE 100 has just reached 9000 today; a record high.

Whatever you're smoking, it must be pretty good.

twats

So are you, come to that.

So which European politicians do you support?

Living ones, not Hitler, Franco, Dolfuss, Salazar and Mussolini.

You support Stamer, you support Biden, you support Kwasniewski and Tusk.

Yes, and they all won elections.

Who do you support? Why do you support twats?

Travel / Transport adventures in Poland [99]

I think Starmer and Miliband have blocked granting new licences for drilling in the North Sea. They

They're afraid of losing some of the more middle class constituencies to the Greenies.

What a lot of the public don't get is that North Sea crude is such high quality that it mostly doesn't end up as petrol or marine/road bitumen anyway; mostly kerosene and as ethylene/polyethylene which we'll still be using in a century.

We also import coked coal from South America and India and anthracite from Poland. Milliband should be ashamed of himself, in a constituency (Donny North) which has high unemployment and is literally sat on some of the world's best coal deposits.

Yet 'Just Stop Oil' glue themselves to the road surface (made of oil) with superglue (also made of oil) and film it on their phones (made of oil too).

What infuriates me just as much is the lack of gas storage capacity here. It leaves the UK vulnerable and dependent on imports

I'm the same. The tank farms along the banks of the Thames Estuary (and to a lesser extent Stanlow) are incredibly vulnerable. The Tories should never have privatised BP and ICI.

old cars from the European Union exported to Africa

You wouldn't believe the state of some of them.

Off-Topic / What is a woman? [402]

Lady Starmer is definitely a woman. Although we shouldn't judge on superficial things like personal grooming, she does look great. Really nice dress too.

Brigitte Micron however (a schoolteacher who had sex with a pupil) just looks like a small-town transvestite auditioning for an amateur production of Whatever Happened To Baby Jane...

Tik Tok should be banned.

Probably since it's Chinese owned, however they don't like to ban things. Twitter and instagram bring no good to the world either, especially twitter.

I couldn't agree with you more

That guy has literally praised the Nazis.

he is the most useless PM I can remember

Did you miss Sunak, Truss, Johnson, May, Cameron, Major, The Milk Snatcher, Heath, Douglas-Home and MacMillan?

What don't you like about the current one who has a supermajority and will be in office for the next 9 years?

I have no idea how it's possible to go bankrupt when running a casino but he managed to do it three times

Didn't he have to pay back millions to the people he scammed vis his 'trump University'.

you believe that the current usury and fiat-money-based economic system is sustainable?

It has been for a long time.

what will have real value

Gold is always good.

Beware of 'cryptocurrency¡. It has no intrinsic value and is pushed by scammers.

Not much to respect.

use him.

Something that seems very easy to do. He's like a kid. Anyone who knows the psychology is several steps ahead.

Both the US and Germans have intelligence services that are seriously compromised by North Nigeria

This is very true.

About Poland, it's a harder call however it would be naive to assume there aren't any FSB assets in the whole country. Probably SBU ones too.

I'm a few years older and very much from the glue generation. Sid.Vicious was still alive when I started there.

UHU? Don't mind if I do!

wouldn't have been an OTC

Are they called cadet corps instead? Simon Raven writes about them.

Thinking about school, there was only really one teacher her I liked. He was very conscientious but only there formless than a year before suddenly leaving and never being mentioned again. He was later jailed for being one of the country's most prolific nonces with activities spanning decades.

his cabinet funded

The meteoric rise of JD Vance (who used to be gay or bi but now apparently says he isn't) from nothing to suddenly something is an issue which cannot be ignored.

the cuts to Medicare and Medicaid that are being made to fund tax cuts for billionaires

The whole point of all that, the mass deportations of anyone who knows how to make a pizza or change a nappy, the mas firing of veterans in the public sector, the 'doge' crap and the fúcking silly tariffs is for their public sector to collapse completely so corporatists will 'step in to save America`.

Some of their political advisors are quite open about this, or at least have been in the past.

And given the number of sleeper agents there, anything could happen. Who knows how many of their key figures are compromised by r*SSia in one way or another. They haven't exactly lacked spy scandals within their military and public sector over the decades.

Inteestingly, The Times said today that r*SSia has eased off on their cyberattacks and acts of sabotage there and ar now focussing (so far fortunately with zero success) on the U.K.,

Something is going on right now and it may well be a while before whatever it is comes into the public domain.

Is Marlborough fully co-ed now? It

Not sure, The school I went to was somewhat different, When I was there it hit the front page of the Daily Mail with the headline "is this the worst school in Britain".

No OTC, no houses and definitely no copies of Jorrocks.

kicked out of there for dealing coke

Our maths teacher, Mrs Hobson, used to give us cigarettes as a reward for pupils who stayed quiet during the lesson and didn't chin each other or destroy anything. Two other teachers there (one male, one female) married pupils within weeks of them leaving school. One teacher was fired for throwing a kid out or PF a second floor window and the RE teacher was sectioned for taking all his clothes off and running out of the school during g the lunch break.

It burnt down in the end. The alumni from my time probably include more future murderers (I'm not joking here) than future graduates. Even when I was there, some of the 4th and 5th year girls were turning tricks in town, The school actually had a mother and baby unit, and this was 40 years ago.

No coke or even weed sadly in South Yorkshire pit village comprehensive schools back then, but plenty of glue.

It was geographically close to and similar in appearance to the school in Kes only far far worse, But hey, I survived more or less and have done reasonably well now the trauma has receded.

I'd quite have fancied a public school, that sort of self confidence that people get from them. That and an actual education as well and teachers with degrees or even opposable thumbs.

Again how much do you think his voters would care about some financial crimes from 40 years ago?

Not much, since they forgive their fuhrer anything.

I'd guess that it's more than just financial crimes, more than just his mafia links, his 'cryptocurrency' scams or his scam about 'trump University' where thousands were bilked out of cash and more than just his proven rapes and his alleged but as yet unproven child sexual abuse.

It is probably something far more serious and may not just be about him.

Then you need to visit south western Turkey more closely to Greece, there people are staunchly anti-Erdogan

I've visited often including recently. In that region it tends to vary from town to town. It's the same in Istanbul where most people oppose him (and the billboards are biggest).

It's a bit like PiS with their voters being less-educated people in small towns and who are religious or at least pretend to be.

portray pictures of Atatürk when they want to protest against Erdogan.

Ataturk images are everywhere, in every classroom and in every public building. I have one on my wall. The billboards in Turkey tend to have Ataturk at one end, Wrdogan at the other end and pictures of engineering infrastructure projects in the middle.

What a grim concept

It's a lovely hymn.

The second it eyes economical troubles it goes mad

Very correct, They feel they have a right to run things to their own benefit and can't really handle it when that goes wrong.

Turkey is a ex-grand player dreaming of returning to it's past grandeur

More than just dreaming. I go there at least six times a year, including this week, Every time, there's something big and new. Sadly they've started having. Illbiards everywhere with Erdogan's ugly mug on as if he were Franco or Gaddafi.

And the human anthem is kumbaya?

Not as far as I know.

The nearest things to that are the Internationale and Ode To Joy.

Poland needs to developed it's own framework similar to Turkey, Iran and Germany

Germany tries to either invade and kill everyone or to economically colonise other places, Turkey is at the crossroads of the world with vast resources that the almost landlocked Poland doesn't have and Iran is a pile of syf.

Poland isn't Switzerland and has even disappeared off the map before.

ussian Slavic brothers.

They aren't Slavs, though, are they.

Not that this should matter.

And the people they colonised in Siberia (and have not yet decolonised from like every other decent country) have more in common with Native Americans than any sort of European.

Does he run his donor's farm?

By the same logic, Trup must run all his donors' businesses.

they are all "dodgy"

Ost of them yes. The owners are often tax avoiders living abroad.

There are three fairly respectable ones, all broadsheets, only one of which, The Guardian, can be called independent, and of the tabloids, only the Mirror doesn't have questionable ownership.

seldom has anything news worthy that the rest of the world would be interested

Yet you, the coffin-dodger and a couple of other bin-diving nomarks find plenty there that is newsworthy.

I am fairly certain that slavs originate

We all originate from somewhere near the Rift Valley in what is now Kenya.

Nobody came down from:the trees and started walking upright in Europe. We are all of us African.

NATO

It's very safe to say that if we held a referendum tomorrow and it was orc-proofed propaganda-wise, there would be a massive one to remain in NATO.

Poland had several "specialisations".

All countries to an extent do, however Comecon's attempts to force or prevent certain industries in the countries it tried to dominate were a failure.
