Most of the time. If I can't cook in the week I cook more on weekend and freeze. Of course I also make some ready made fish fingers or from the jar sauce (I absolutely love Sainsbury's own brand Tikka Masala sauce)


Sadly no. The most popular foreign cuisine in UK is Indian. But I do like what passes on for Mexican food here and in Poland. It reminds me it's time to make some enchiladas

Yeah. Although as Jon pointed out it's not technically correct name. And thank you for your compliment. I like filling food. When I first heard of 'comfort food' this is the kind of food I imagined. Sheppard pie, fasolka po bretonsku, nice stew...Something that warms you up and fills you up...Mac and Cheese would never come to my mind. That reminded me...See you in the Polish food thread :P

What I find surprising is the lack of some take away home meals place in UK. Something between the frozen meals and restaurant.
In my hometown they had a place like that. Not too many dishes and not too fancy but healthy enough you could give it to kids without feeling bad.

Standard mielone. Taste the best with something slightly sour (kapusta kiszona, ogórki kiszone od buraczki) but sadly I don't have any so I opted for some steamed veggies.

Btw, is there a reason why it's almost impossible to get yellow wax beans in UK?

Neither curry sauce (which I adore on fish and chips) nor gravy are veggies :) if anything they are making it more unhealthy. Convinces me to eat fish though.

So you don't need to sign anything. Giving your body to uni is different as you don't give anyone your organs but whole body goes to students to practice , cut etc. The body is used for about a year after which it's buried with others in a ceremony

There is plenty of recipes online with different amount of sugar (I even saw one with 3 glasses of sugar!!!), whether the apples or fried or not etc.

We like the lazy option: rice cooked normally, fresh apples grated in the middle, sprinkled with some sugar and a tiny bit of butter on the top layer of rice.

I even started adding fresh veg to my ham and cheese toasti

And how many of you eat plain oatmeal? Older generation in my family call it child abuse :D
