Love / How do Polish men feel about gender equality? [780]

Yes it was 'tongue in cheek' as I imagine every else who read it understood

As i said none of the men are complaining as they had the wit to understand a bit of light humour.

You know...humour....

We need it or we would all just be reduced to your kind of hateful spite and insults....

Nowhere have I 'bashed' men JR. And I can assure you I have no interest in sounding "cute". Jeez I am 56 year old woman with zero interest in 'cute' ...get a grip.

I just mentioned some real life observations.

No other men here are whining and crying about it are they?

And you are an old American without Polish heritage. So stop lying. It's actually laughable.

Oh ok so you have a big garden and a ride on mower!
Good for you.
Can we get a picture of you sat on it in your big garden?
You could put a bag over your head if you worry about being identified.
'Most people with homes...what do you mean by that?
We all have homes.
If your big garden and ride on mower takes you more than an hour a week.you are doing something wrong.

Oh she is pretty fed up Lenka I think she will leave soon. He didn't even let her stay in bed resting after EMCS she had to be up and back to normal.

He said he could have handled being sliced open perfectly well and so should she...
(EMCS - emergency cesarean section)

Probably she should have refused to get out of bed for six weeks and demanded a bit of care but we are all used to acting tougher than that. Not sure if it's to our advantage.

No he is not looking for work it's hopeless here in Wales right now and a new lockdown etc

Well then I am sure you have been a good husband or it wouldn't have lasted that long.
Be honest family life is a minefield and if you can cross it together and still be holding hands at the end then there's a good job done .xx

I am so disappointed that an unemployed young man in his early 30s is treating my daughter like a domestic appliance while he sits and plays C. of D.

Like I said if he was playing some traditional role in the family it wouldn't seem so bad but he's not....
I blame his parents tbh.

I don't need a slim fast diet thanks all the same.

We had one of those bloody heavy push things when I was a child at home I remember it well.

I think the parents scrapped it off at some point in about 1975 and got an electric one.

You're not still.using one are you? Lol.

My son loves shopping and planning and cooking.......cleaning up after.....not so much . But he is only 22...at least he doesn't expect to be waited on.

Exactly pawian.

City families don't even have cars and if they did the woman would have as much chance of diagnosing problems as the man wd. That is about zero.

These days you can't even replace a light bulb on the headlights yourself.

And we don't have lawns. We are not living inwhite picket fence suburban America are we?

So that's down to taking the rubbish out then...
2 minutes a week'?

Oh right yes being in favour of women's rights makes you equivalent to a psychotic organisation calling for the destruction of world Jewry.
Ok boomer.
Lol.

Pfff forget it.

That's woman's work I am afraid altho I have seen that some exceptional men can be trained, with patience and lots of positive reinforcement to do the washing up or take the bins out.

In fact my dad does the cooking and shopping in his house so I shouldn't be so cynical. I think he took over the job in order to get some edible dinners.

Plus when he retired his wife was still working full time so it didn't really make sense for him to do nothing while she ran about.

He is 85 now sadly his sensible attitude doesn't seem to have trickled down the generations.

My daughters babyfather doesn't lift a finger.

I use the term 'babyfather' rather than partner as that is all he has brought to the relationship. His c*ck.

Also.... (warming to theme now) families can't survive on just one salary and it's really not fair to men to expect them to shoulder this financial burden alone is it?

Anyway why are we even having this conversation my mother who was born in 1933 worked all her life married or not, with a few years off for children in fact all our neighbouring women of that generation had jobs.

Except one and you sometimes saw her running with a trolley of clothes to the launderette even tho she had a perfectly good washing machine ....just to get away from the house. ....

I think her husband was an abusive knut now I recall.

Well the bible also says 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' but these days you wd get arrested for such carry on.

Anyway it's like I said to my daughter the other day..you don't mind a guy expecting dinner on the table etc if he is doing his bit, going out to work, being kind, .......maybe building me a house in his spare time...(jokes)

But certain guys want to play the big man without anything to back it up.
Sadly these days a lot of people aren't working at all, male or female. So it kind of makes the argument obsolete.

Travel / Travel to Poland from the UK? (COVID time) [50]

Don't know but I am sure they have or they will be clogged up with itchy footed UK residents who think 'the rules ' dont apply to them because they're special and really really want to have a holiday.

That's what it says. ........

You will just have to wait until the situation changes I suppose.

As going over to Ireland and travelling from there.....don't be ridiculous that is not going to be a 'loophole ' for UK residents The Irish govt wouldn't tolerate it.
