Life / How are electric cars doing in Poland? [413]

Well our own government is already doing a great job of increasing power prices.

our (Polish) government is bound by the EU law to sell rights to CO2 emissions - this is the rights that make electricity more expensive and the decision was not made by this government

Law / Poland's Muzzle Law [22]

Judges and law enforcement officers exposed in these recordings to restore dignity

please use English next time - it does not make sense

I live here, I watch TV in Polish, I read internet in Polish - and it is pretty obvious to me that most judges especially the top echelons are chums with the opposition - this was especially dire situation when presidents of courts (I don't know how to translate it better into English) assigned cases to particular judges to their liking

you rely on coverage in English language media which skims over the gist of the topic and are often written by POLISH journalists hostile to current government

I have several Polish friends living in Poland also F.Y.I.

your Polish friends are probably all opponenst of the current goverment

Language / "Ego" as an ending in Polish Names? [19]

That ending will also appear if talking about pure ownership 'Mr Sikorski's car ' is 'samochod Pana Sikorskiego'

it is called genetive case - one of the most important roles of genetive is to mark possession (ownership)

as for why genetive is used for street names (also schools have patrons in their names - like Uniwersytet Adama Mickiewicza): it's a matter of convention

Law / Poland's Muzzle Law [22]

to further silence critical judges and prosecutor

you don't live here so you have no actual idea what is going on in Poland - as one of opposition MPs said in a leaked tape : 'judges won't harm us' - I guess you understand what that means

coal has problems but better that than relying on Putin and Saudis.

wait for Timmermans to make electricity in Poland twice as expensive as it is now

Language / Origin of / reason for spelling /tɕi/ as <ci> in the Polish language [11]

I'm almost 100% sure Polish "CI" is never pronounced as "TSI"

there are words or word elements in Polish where ci is pronounced as tsi - the chemical term cis comes to mind

cis is also a Polish word for a tree (yew) and in that case ci is pronounced as ci in Marcin

And that makes it ok?

I haven't said it makes anything ok - I never heard of the Banaś guy before - he probably wasn't screened enough by the special forces - if PiS could remove him they probably would because hi case is a thorn in PiS side - the thing is they can't - they can try persuading him to step down but he has so far shown no desire to

News / So rate but good deeds of Polish politicians [9]

the self proclaimed heroism of Biedroń

I'm not sure if it was self-proclaimed heroism on parts of Biedroń - as far as I know it was the account fire-fighters who on the spot gave to the media - as I said wpolityce.com gave quite a detailed account of the event by the father in question

News / Scandals, conflicts, tensions, arguments - real life examples from Poland [470]

Let`s wait a few days and we`ll see if it is such puff after all.

I seriously think you only read the title of the article - there are points in the article that if true could be enough to convict a couple of people (making personal data and various documents public) - but the sensationalist title is just nonsense - the title suggests some big cabalah involving hundreds of people?

Notice that he is completely silent on the embarrasing subject of trolling in the Ministry

what do you actually know about the 'trolling' - what are the details - how exactly were judges 'destroyed' - they write about exactly one person who used internet and some other means who tried to discredit a couple of judges - how is it a troll farm ? - znaj proporcje człowieku

People who vote for them are voters who were bribed by them to get a vote.

what would you do with those voters if they still insist on voting on PiS - do you have a final solution of PiS members in mind (let's get rid of all of them the PiS folk won't have anybody to vote, no?)
