attacks on democracy

That's just so much propaganda for the masses. Nobody cares about democracy or some constitution, least of all the hyper-business-interest bloc known as the EU. It's all about the old outgoing elite facing off the new one -- a situation as old as mankind itself. Re-read Machiavelli -- it's all there and never changes. Or "Animal Farm" -- a nice metaphor. You blokes can't be that naive to believe all those pious political platitudes!?

Nie prawda

Probably the only time it'd be written separately would be in such sentences as: To nie prawda lecz kłamstwo! Do you agree*?

'nieprawda' must be written together.

You're right, many dzięks! You of course know how to translate "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth" into Polish.

It is: prowda, tys prowda i gówno prowda!
Yes, voivodeship is by far the preferred version. In older texts one can occasioanlly encounter voivod and voivodship just like the antiquated Cracow. I promise to clean up my Polish, so feel free to remind me whenever I go astray.

Life / Stereotypes about Polish people being stupid? [281]

racist claptrap

boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=577677

Polish American Journal make this nonsense up, it seems.

Fair enough. Throughout the American mainstream that may well be the case. But Polonian papers and groups are focused on Polish-related issues which the average person isn't even aware of. Recently there was a protest by young Jews outside the Polish consulate:

jta.org/2016/05/05/news-opinion/world/jewish-high-schoolers-picket-polish-consulate-in-ny-to-protest-holocaust-whitewashalte

Such incidents may not get much play in the mainstream media but they go on the whole time.

Life / Stereotypes about Polish people being stupid? [281]

national stereotype

The PC mania tries to muzzle people, but the fact remains that Jews in general are astute businessmen but poor athletes, Negros are great runners and basketballers but very poor swimmers, Hungarians lead in suicides, Italians make better lovers than soldiers, Germans are obsessed about "Ordnung muß sein!"... Those are not stereotypes, those are facts.

olish American Journal

The Polish American Journal is probably America's most influential Polonian publication with a nationwide circulation. It covers a wide range of Polonian and Polish-themed topics.

American media pick on the Poles

American media have traditionally been liberal leftist aka "progressive", agnostic and anticlerical so it is obvious they would not take a fancy to a staunchly Catholic coutnry like Poland.

Secondly, Jews (around 2% of the US population) are disprortioantely represnted in the American media and blame Poles for the communist regime's 1968 anti-Semitic purge and other Polish-Jewish friction.

"voivodeship"

Nie prawda! Voivodship nad voivodeship are alternate spellings and both are correct.

Petru and Schetyna

A poll caried out for GW by Millward Brown has shown President Duda to be invincible in the 2020 presidential election. In the second round of the vote he would defeat: Tuska 47-41, Petru 47-41, Lis 46-37, Owsiak 46-35, Schetyna 48-33, Biedroń 49-32, Kijowski 50-23 and Kaczyński 58-3!

This clearly shows why the PiS strategy of having a backseat leader is a winning proposition. Kaczyński's determination, forceful tactics and long-range strategy enjoy widespread support but he is not viewed as an up-front figure.

The latest opinion polls

Latching on to such poll results shows the oppositon is desperate and clutching at straws. Their days as a poltical force are numbered. as Petru and Schetyna struggle for the top leadership post. 4 June may well be their last big demo. Szydło did an admirable job of work, breaking ground in effectively virgin territory after PiS had been out of office for 8 years. Morawiecki is more convincing a politican and an expert in his field so he would mke a good PM. I'm sure you'd prefer him to Pawłowska or Macierewicz.

Zachodni-Pomorskie

You misspelt the voviodship, but regardless... West Pomerania (Szczecin region) is one of Poland's "riffrafflands". After ther war those ex-German territories were settled by a motley assortment of refugees, repatriates, horse thives, marauaders and other rootless types who are not typical of average Poles. Besides, the local vote in some remote backwater is of little significnace to the coutnry as a whole which has thrown off the yoke of the PO scamster/conman gang, opting instead for the real Poland serving the Polish nation, not oligarchs and post-communist cliques.

Poles who fail

Poles who snitch and badmouth their own country, invite foreign intervention and take their cues from Polish-langauge but anti-Polish rags like GW. KOD are essentially a fifth column triyng to soften up the coutnry for the EU-Soros takeover. Happily they constitute a mere drop in the spitoon or chamber pot.

Pomorskie is solidly anti-PIS Polonius

But polls show both Pomprskiei & Zachodniopomorskie woudl vote for PiS. Maybe some Gdańsk-based elties are still for PO, but not the provinces as a whole.

state-owned companies

But not only... factroy workers and cawshiers, taxi drivers and waiters, students, dentists, engineers, priests, accountants, firefighters, farmers and many. many more. Did you know that every reigon of Poladn would vote for PiS if an election were held at presetn? Last October, only rootless Pomerania (settled after the war by lots of moley riffraff from all over) supported PO. Now even they have thrown in with PiS. The future indeed looks bright and promising.

happened in Austria

Austria may well be next under the miscroscope after a leftist extremist barely won the presidency. Luckily it's only a figurehead president. In general, a wave of healthy patriotic sentiment is sweeping Europe and the days when lefties and libretards ran the show are numbered. As in Poland, people have finally seen through the slick, glib lefty propaganda.

PiS

The EC have softened their tone after the Polish government gave a tough response to their ultimatum which had given Poland 5 days to resolve the thorny TK issue. The government did not waver, waffle or back down, because that would have only emboldened the eurocrats, but issued a stern resolution underscoring Poland's attachment to sovereignty and refusal to be bullied by the EC..

The EC's Margaritis Schinas said today they had not used the term ultimatum with regards to Poland, but the govenrment saw the imposed deadline as an effective "do what we want or else" type of warning. Schinas stated that constructive dialogue was under way between the EC and the Polish government. One cannot rule out that the eurocrats have finally realised f*cking with Poland could well swing the Brexit referendum in favour of the UK's departure. Many British voters might wonder: "Look at how they're treating Poland. We may be next!"

PiS at the 37%

KOD BACKERS -- READ 'EM AND WEEP AS PiS SOARS AHEAD: The latest TNS Polska poll shows 39% for PiS, 17 for PO, 11 for Nowoczesna and 7 for Kukiz'15.

In the October election all Poland backed PiS except Pomerania and West Pomerania. Now PiS would win in every single region.
The moral of the story: the sideswipers, grumblers and badmouthers of the anti-government opposition are out of sync with the pulse of the Polish nation.

III RP's Laurel & Hardy (Schetyna & Petru)

The latest CBOS poll shows PiS at the 37% support level at which they won the October election. The interesting thing is that losers PO with 18% have slipped ahead of loser Petru (17%). The only other party to make it in are Kukiz'15 (8%).

Poles continue to support the "good change" party, whilst the opposition are vying over who is better at bullying and badmouthing the government with their snitchery and character assassination.

The European Commission has given Poland an ultimatum

And the KOD creeps with III RP's Laurel & Hardy (Schetyna & Petru) at their head have now clearly shown what they are really on about. When the EC gave Poland 5 days to clean up their act, Laurel & Hardy moved today's TK-themed meeting to next Tuesday. That clearly showed that they do not want to help resolve the row but plan to play the TK card and keep their hate cauldron simmering. Shame on those crudballs!!!

That's an excellent description of the 18% regime!

Au contraire, it aptly describes the 10% losers' Platform. Petru & PSL were even bigger losers at the polls.
Porozumienie Centrum and PiS -- both Kaczyński parties -- were the most commie-free of them all. The PO faction in the present Sejm includes 30 ex-PZPR and TW MPs. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

extreme-right misfits

Even worse are the extreme leftist misfits: homo and migrant promoters, backers of ex-ZOMO, ORMO, SB, TW types, assorted God-bashers as well as oligarchs, all of whom plentifully populate KOD's ranting ranks. Oh yes, one musn't forget another unsavory ingredient of that motley crew -- the child-support shirkers. Kijowski się kłania!

'not doing the very minimum'

One has to hand it to Grodzka, no matter what one thinks of trannyism. At least Bejgowski-turned-Grodzka had the courage of hisd/her convicitons and the guts to go to Thailand for a chop job. Now Obama wants anyone to use any loo anywhere claiming to identify with a gender otehr than theri own. You are undoutebdly in favour of such "progressive" thinking, eh?

Wishful thinking! Ever try doing a reconnaissance run of churches on Sunday? It may be an eye-opening experience. And not in the countryside but in Warsaw, Kraków. Poznań, Lublin, etc.

both old and young are staying away

But Poles in general are staying away from the pervert-gender ideology in droves and thank God for that! The average Poles correctly regards sexual deviants as either harmless crackpots or potentially danerous predators. Whetehr or not you, Biedroń, Grodzka and a handful of other weirdos wish that weren't the case.

Another lie eagerly repeated . Father Director clearly denied that allegation and priests do not lie!

Wannbe or wannabe - what's the difference, who cares. It's only Anglo-jabber. But a Pole should never misspell a word in the sacred ancestral tongue, especially if one holds the off-the-wall belief that a plastic card or cardboard booklet affects one's DNA and lifelong heritage development.

Under lofty or innocuous names many NGOs are effectively Trojan horses trying to smuggle in anti-family pro-pervert-genderist notions. Such was the case with the anti-violence against women law which was a cover for gender ideology.

Different pollsters provide different results. The one I quoted was from Ibris. There are also MilwardBrown, CBOS, OBOP, GfK Polonia et al.

Solidarnosci

Unlike a plastic-card wannbe, a true Pole would never misspell a Polish word. It is Solidarność (nominative) and Solidarności (genetive and dative). When inserting a single Polish word into an English text always use the nominative.

relation with Russia

Today's Mahder Rassia is an unpredictable rogue state that has done a rerun of Hitler's Anschluß, foments civil strife in Ukraine, rattles their atomic sabres and regards the Black Sea and Baltic as Moscow's private ponds. Until Putin departs, Crimea is returned to Ukraine, Russian troops, volunteers, mercenaries and what not and their military hardware are withdrawn under intenraitonla supervision and the Kremlin abandon their neo-imperialist designs, being anythign other than Russo-sceptical would be suicide.

anti-PiS coalition

But only a theoretical "coalition" existing solely in the demented minds of the delusional, because it is a hypothetical off-the-wall alliance that can neither enact laws nor block those proposed by the pro-Polish good-change government. And they can chant, rant, fume and pound the pavement till hell freezes over, but it won't make one iota of difference.
