News / THE ARMY OF POLAND - THE REALITY [493]

There are many, many, many genuine patriots of Russia in Russia.

I hope there are.

Because it will take a concerted effort of all genuine Russian patriots to lift Russia out of the sh*t that Putin pushed her into.

Who won?

The Nobel Prize? Derek Walcott, just like the anarchists predicted.

In Długi Targ slugfest, however, it was skinheads and hooligans who emerged victorious.

Une petite dispute: 1992

90s wasn't a decade, it was a state of mind. In the photo above we see the event that took place in Długi Targ (Long Market Square) in Gdańsk in 1992 when skinheads and hooligans decided to settle a dispute with anarchists, probably over who should get a literary Nobel Prize that year, with the use of chains, knives and metal bars.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland - part 2 [379]

Women need to have their rights and one of them is terminating early pregnancy.

Why not terminating middle pregnancy? Or why not late pregnancy? In some "civilised" countries we do have so-called partial-birth abortions after all.

Come to think of it... if "early pregnancy" is OK, then why not "early childhood"? How do we judge when human life starts? Who has the right to decide such things?

So, maybe (just maybe) we should restrain our killer instincts and don't murder children whether it's "early pregnancy", "middle childhood" or "late adolescence". Just a thought.

News / Future of Polish-Ukrainian relations [669]

we sent the stuff which was spare

Maybe the tanks, ifvs and some older equipment (Grads, Shilkas etc.) but we could use every single artillery shell that we sent and there were trains full of it rolling to Ukraine.

And there won`t be Russian defeat without Ukrainian heroic sacrifice.

Hmm... well, if you put it this way, I suppose.

It is obvious and natural that Germans would like to replace the Polish manufacturer who sends Krab howitzers to Ukraine in order to start selling their own weapons there at last.

It is now also obvious that German companies will get the lion's share of Ukraine's rebuilding program. The same Germans who were telling Ukrainians that their defeat was a question of weeks while Poland was sending fuel, ammunition and tanks almost right away. We played it very badly. Do we always have to be the noble, magnanimous ones, just to be screwed in the arse in return? It's a recurring pattern.

These Germans, maybe they are more clever than you?

Maybe they are. But that's OK, I suppose, because this time they're on our side.

many naive and not that naive will die

F*ck it. A kto umarł, ten nie żyje.

They are telling you objective criticism of your machines.

No, Pawian is right - it's a cheap provocation. I shouldn't have fallen for it in the first place. Agents Provocateurs - Torq 1:0 (but the game's not over yet).

Close your eyes

My eyes are open and I don't like what I see. I see once proud Russia going on a begging mission to North Korea. North-f*cking-Korea... I mean, how low can you fall? :(

You're surprised that Poland needs South Korean tanks but aren't you surprised that Russia needs North Korean junk?

as paid by German armament industry to say a few warm words about their stuff and criticise Polish one which is the main competitor for Germans in this market

Hmm... you're right, it looks like a provocation.

Be wiser than that and don`t fall for Bobko`s dirty games.

Indeed. Silly me. Thanks for being vigilant, Pawian.

Ukrainian artillery men are sh*tting on the AHS Krab self propelled artillery,

What? They don't want them? Cool. Duly noted. We can always use some extra Krabs ourselves.

How proud Kania was of these SPAs! Hahaha!

I still am. These Ukrainian artillery men lost keys to their arseholes so they are sh*tting through their teeth. These things happen.

That is why artillery and all the rest failed.

What do you mean all the rest? Ukrainians were singing praises of PT91 Twardy and practically masturbated to Piorun manpads and Warmate drones. Also, I watched a video in which they praised Krabs highly so I guess opinions are divided (not that I give a sh*t - if they don't want them, all the better - more for us :)).

And anyways, boys, Polish fighter pilots can fly on the barn doors and Polish artylerzyści can fire tin cannons and still own any other army in the world. So there.

Catholic, violent, and emotionally unbalanced - but still brothers.

I'm not sure if I should give you a high five or tell you to f*ck off. Would it be strange if I did both?

is this really who we are to drop some nuclear bombs on?

The problem is that even if you nuke the entire Poland, you still can't kill us all :) Poles are everwhere from Alaska to Brazil, from Africa to the North Pole. If you kill the 40 million in Poland, the 20 million outside it will avenge us and Plastics are some crazy motherf*ckers (think amiga500 :D).

I thought, this is a country that breeds assassins.

That reminds me of a war memoir I once read where a former young Wehrmacht officer recalled how his older colleague warned him not to be fooled by Poles being calm and quiet. He said that "when Poles are quiet it means they are sharpening their knives, and Poles can sharpen their knives so quietly that even God can't hear it" (or something to that effect). :)

The reality is, we are just careful with strangers. You never know who the stranger might be (an enemy, a ferret, a Frenchman), better keep quiet. When we're with friends or family we can be pretty loud too.

Do you want to tell me

I suppose what Iron is trying to say is that murdering a child in its mother's womb can hardly be justified by the child being unwanted.

I also fail to see the logic in the "oh, the child is unwanted so let's murder it - that will solve the problem" approach.

Geez, it was only two photos from Kielce streets a hundred years ago, and now - over 50 posts later - the discussion is still going on. I have to choose a less controversial topic than clothes for the next photo. I don't know... abortion or death penalty maybe.

Tattoos have been present in many cultures around the world for thousands of years

Sure. However, in Europe they survived into modernity mostly as a part of prison/social margin culture. Well, sailors had them too. :)

I could play as I wanted to

Don't compare children playing at their granma's house in the countryside to adults walking the streets of cities.

The way people dress mirrors the state of general culture/civilisation. We live in a decadent, dying out, society, so it's only natural that the dress code is practically non-existent.

don't get me started on tattoos

Prison "culture" entering everyday life. And they think tatoos look good on them *facepalm*

The images we have is usually based on the upper classes.

Not really. Most people tried to dress smartly even under early communism, Poloniusz. While selecting photos for this thread I came across a photo (taken in late 1950s) of a queue of men wearing suits, hats and long coats - they were waiting in the queue to buy tickets for a boxing match in Wrocław. :)

It always seems rather shameful to wear sportswear while not doing sports.

Exactly! Why are you making so much sense today, Jon? Well, apart from the conservatism, Middle Ages etc. in the other thread ;)

How about half naked men on the coast coming to stores and restaurants like they're still on the beach?

Same thing. A painful fine the first time, jail after the second offense.
