I was going to start but the handwriting (very old fashioned) missing letters (didn't show up on photo) and.... odd writing style.... a few times things that should be separate words are written together.... Oh, you're talking about Native Americans.... most of them weren't citizens (all Native Americans in the US were made citizens in 1924 which was not popular with all of them) they were competing ethnic groups that were often at war with each other as much as with settlers. More were killed by European diseases than anything else.

Very regrettable but it's hard to say the US is responsible for 'millions' of deaths of its own citizens.... no one has any realistic idea of how many people were in the current US in 1492 but recent estimates say about 3.8 (US and Canada combined). Other estimate range from about one million to about 8 million....

there's no secret about it, they're still erecting statues and still have icons with his picture....

Trying to rejoin soon would be a very big mistake as the EU would try to punish the country and probably impose impossible conditions like accepting the horrible euro pseudo-currency and/or joining Schengen....

I think the UK and the EU were never a very good fit... the UK was too big to benefit the way much smaller Ireland could and too out of step with prevailing European approaches to governance...

It is a shame that the UK mostly was a pretty passive member as it was (and is) the only major western European country that doesn't reach for a massive pile of new regulations every time a dog lifts its leg to pеe....

The third world is full of greed.... greed is not a sin of the rich, but of humanity. Trying to change human nature has ended well approximately never times.

Capitalism, for all its flaws, works better with human nature to raise living standards than any other system tried.

The problem of a lot of the countries isn't capitalist predation but oligarchical protectionism or clan/tribe based patronage and corruption (and weak nationalism where 'society' is something you try to exploit and rob).

There's no evidence whatsoever that large scale migration from predominantly muslim countries to Europe benefits anyone... the migrants are net drags on the economy (and do not improve in the second or third generation) and the migrants themselves get trapped intergenerational welfare dependence and are overrrepresented in petty crime (and not so petty crime).

The results are in, there's no need to continue the experiment.

patriotism is a manifestation of nationalism, not a separate phenomenon....

second, the failure of failed countries is at least 80% due to the local culture and its values (traditionalism, clannishness foremost among them).
