UK, Ireland / Brits say being drunk senseless while visiting Poland is national trait [98]

As I said the signs have been changed to no stag parties.

No, again BS. The signs have always been "no stags". And to be honest with you there are very few places that have these signs, maybe 2 or 3 and that was many years ago.

Also there are several skinhead bars that will collect english scalps.

Skinhead bars???!!! Haha, have you ever been to Krakow? You might think Ironside is a skinhead bar, but it's not really, the owner is an ex rugby player so at first glance you'd think it was rough, but they are a friendly bunch.

Stag parties give all poms a bad name in poland.

Nope, cos the majority of Poles know what a stag party is and why people are drinking. Have you ever seen Polish people on their stag parties or holidays?

I still find it ironic an Oz complaining about folk having a drink :D

Its against the law to discriminate against a race, religion or creed so therefore I would be inviting trouble if i listed these bars.

No it isn't. You are bullshitting my friend. Let's play a game, you name the bar and i'll turn round and prove you wrong.

Out of interest , are you an expat psychaitrist working in poland?

No.

I did not relize the municipality made then change the signs to not to offend the EU and the well behaved british citizens.

Nobody made anyone change the signs. It is up to the bar owners who they serve. Never have I ever seen a sign on a bar in Krakow saying "no English". But like I said, care to give some names of the bars?

The reverse is certainly true in krakow where several bars proudly sport no english signs due to numerous violent and stupid incidents.

Care to give the names of the bars? Last time I checked only "no stag group" signs were there.
Then again i doubt it.

USA, Canada / Why are Polish Americans mocked in the American media? [226]

. Why isn`t there any polish institution offering to find better job opportunities for Polish immigrants within Polish community?

Im guessing because a lot of the qualifications from Poland might not work in the usa

Life / Why Polish people should be proud of being Polish? [370]

I believe he has had a fleeting visit to Poland but it was a long long time ago. Do I believe that Poland is like he describes? No, having lived there for a large part of my life I can say it's nothing like he describes. His views are backward.

What does physical presence have to do with anything? One can be a good inchtiologist without knowing how to swim. With today's net resources one can perform surgery half a world away from the parient and analyse every manner of phenomena occurring anywhere on the planet.

You have a serious case of needing to get over yourself. The only reason you come out with all this pish is down to the fact you want Poland to still be like it was when you last visited, some 20 odd years ago.

I'm young and I'm downbeat and negative :)

Me too, but I'm Scottish :P

Love / Online matrimonial - a good way to find a true Polish man/woman on the net? [51]

Modern times need a modern way of thinking. The world is growing smaller therefore everyone should be open to new ways of finding happiness ;)

So, it is a meeting place just like any other, got to be cautious anywhere. I met my ex at a bar. Is he my ex because we met at a bar? Nope.

What a wise head you have on your shoulders. Where and how you meet have nothing to do with how the relationship will be like.
