using data from 2012 for the cost of installing wind power ( about 7 million PLN per 1 MW : - gramwzielone.pl/energia-wiatrowa/3154/ile-kosztuje-budowa-farmy-wiatrowej-w-polsce) and wholesale energy prices for 2019 (in Poland) I calculated that wind power repays the investment after about 3,5 years (assuming it's in constant use with the highest possible output (windfarms cannot work in gale force winds as far as I know)) -
edit: optimal wind velocity for power generation is 15-20 km/h - most of Poland has average wind velocity of 4 km/h - we can safely round the average velocity down (say to 3.5 km/h) because of episodes of winds of higher velocity when wind turbines are halted for safety reasons
Average windturbine gets its cost back in 6 months.
