I completely disagree, BB. It's the very opposite of shock and awe. They actually describe quite calmly what are, in fact, highly horrific events. They don't seek to sensationalise in any way or form. Your emotions should naturally come from imagining the harrowing ordeals that Jews and Poles (and others) went through at the hands of the Nazis.

How can you take a hack at real life accounts?

I recommend Shoah. It lasts 10 hours and is in English, French, Polish, German and Yiddish. Great for many forum members. It shows many places, tells of many incidents and talks in scale terms. Well worth watching for those that want to see if their historical knowledge is up to scratch.

I find this guy to be one of the best. Raul Hilberg. He is considered as being the best read on The Holocaust and the development of AS.

Exactly, I think you are well placed to comment, Penn. There are many like PP in American that try to broaden and divert. I'm not denying that paranoia is widespread as that's just a fact. There are many Israeli Jews (e.g that attended a Roger Waters concert) that deplore what their govt is doing. Businesspeople too. Personally, I couldn't live with myself if every morning I woke up to whimper and whine to win sympathy. That's not earning an honest living.

I recommend Sleepless Gaza Jerusalem to get an on-the-ground understanding of what Palestinians face in the ME. Avoid the newspapers like the plague as they paint false pictures. Watch Ashira tell it as it is. She presents a lot of footage in how SOME Jewish people are corrupt.

BB, you should know that all manner of BS is said when discussing the economy. The Polish economy was a success story in experiencing growth whilst others were going through a recession. Not stable? Oh really? Unlike Russia, Poland doesn't depend on one main product to prop it up.

To be honest, Greg, that's quite a hard task given how quietly he has crept along. I don't know what he has done in the area of prescriptions, pupil numbers and all manner of other things. I have to say that they are not as vocal as British governments when they feel that they have succeeded in sth.

It's not the consequences that I'm focussing on. It's more that it was put together on the premise that safety was a priority issue and then they changed the arrangements having already signed the documents. The new security arrangements seem to be workable but it was like they cheaply abandoned the deal.
