News / The ruling party in Poland tries to take American owned TV news station off the air [528]

information on blunders by and scandals

I don't think the reporting's going to change. It's not about PiS' whims, it's about whether they actually have the ability and the balls to follow through the ban. Oh and by the way, TVN has a second license for TVN2 that isn't going to expire for a few years. They can piggyback on that license for the time being.

Obviously the ideal solution would be to ban all NGOs receiving foreign funding, like Putin did.

Life / UFOs in Poland [51]

I still think the best proof of aliens so far is the Official UFO Night back in the eighties. **** just doesn't add up:

- Multiple strange objects being detected by multiple radar facilities over Southeast Brazil
- Strange lights going at Mach 12 and running rings around brazilian airforce aircraft.
- Some form of strange light-based communication going on
- Scoots as soon as the order to engage is given
- The military was pretty transparent about it, all things considered, and seems as stumped as us.

All of it speaks "advanced alien civilization". There is not a single aircraft on Planet Earth that can reach Mach 12 and do those kinds of maneuvers.

..Why not Plac Konstytucji during lunch?

Zbigniew Blania-Bolnar explains it in his other books.:
lubimyczytac.pl/ksiazka/132858/obecnosc-ufo-tom-1
lubimyczytac.pl/ksiazka/132860/obecnosc-ufo-tom-2

Basically, because they are space turists, not space ambassadors.

Life / UFOs in Poland [51]

Very good books written by Polish ufologist, who has investigated it back in 1978:

lubimyczytac.pl/ksiazka/175050/zdarzenie-w-emilcinie

The best documented case of a close third degree encounter in Poland. Only facts, dry analysis and one conclusion: Jan Wolski really experienced what he experienced.

News / TVP producer fired for allowing rainbow flag on the air... [244]

Only if taken literally.

By provoking the mishandling the alphabet people, or at least allowing it, Kaczor made a mistake, which will be disastrous in its consequences. PiS does not understand that being a victim is the basic narrative that is a flywheel for these people. Every broken police club or hitting a gay by a bald Sebix is publicized in the media and compared with motifs straight from the PRL and Hitler. When a party closer to the mainstream comes to power, and this is an ever closer perspective, it will have an excuse for "correct" changes.

Luckily, most Poles see this whole LGBT cry for attention for what it is and it has very little support.

Some ideas are spread and cause anti-reaction, leading to both contrasting ideologies gaining popularity, but also discourage even more people.

The fact that both sides have complete morons as leaders adds to hilarity and prevents many people from considering these ideas.

To give some examples, LGBT free zones. Totally retarded idea that backfired to the "right" as they made themselves look like a joke and angry losers. On the "left" we have Lempart who at the momentum of women's rights strikes became a leader and everyone was focused on her, but her autism and lack of pragmatism made her lose support very quickly except for the niche she's from, and now even the most leftist party dislikes her.

History / Why didn't Britain declare war on USSR for invading Poland in 1939? [103]

Germany & USSR jointly carved up Poland, but Britain (and France?) only declared war on Germany, not the Soviet Union. Why is this?

Any aficionados and/or arm-chair theorists here?

Is the answer as simple as they didn't want to drive Germany and USSR closer together, and/or that they were scared of the USSR? I thought the latter was still viewed as pretty backward and a potential pushover in a fight by not just Germany but everyone in the West at the time.
