15 or 20 years ago some Russian journalists made an experiment - they travelled through Russia pretending they carry illegal stuff in their truck. They paid huge bribes to the police stopping them and were always allowed to go on. In this way they covered a distance of 1000 or more kilometres, I don`t remember now.
