We aren't talking about short and fat. Those guys/women can't become cabin crews. We're talking about facially attractive. But you seem to have got a bit confused about that.

Poland joined the EU a few years after you fled - and in the EU, there has to be a very good reason to deny someone a job on the basis of arbitrary factors. Which brings us full circle, doesn't it...

On the wikipedia page that you managed to find, (I happened to read it yesterday, coincidentally), you'll notice it has a height range (and how that's related to the physical conditions of the aircraft) and a little something about BMI. Nothing to do with "attractiveness".

If AerLingus, Lufthansa, KLM or Iberia had a policy of hiring
they'd be bled dry by a combination of fines for criminal offenses and compensation from civil cases. And rightly so.
It is however illegal in Europe to hire based on age or gender unless there are compelling reasons for a post to be exempt from anti-discrimination laws. And almost since "attractiveness" has no bearing whatsoever on ability to do the job, there would be clear grounds for a civil lawsuit if they only hired "pretty" ones.
And rightly so. If Penn Boy wants to lech at the stweardesses, let him go to Spearmint Rhino instead.

Yes. there was a problem a few years ago near Piaseczno, very well publicised at the time. A place who supply Sajgonki to Vietnamese bars were using cat and dog. They were prosecuted for it.
As good a reason as any to avoid it!

I hope he is honest about what is going into his meals, too. I wouldn't want to go someplace, thinking I am eating pork and have it be a dog or a cat. That's another thing that concerns me about this. Product mislabeling. If he can do it, who knows who else is doing it.

That would be true if they didn't have an election every four years. Or less if a government fails, as the PiS/LPR/Samoobrona coalition did. If a clear majority of people are unsatisfied with a democratic government, they have a chance to change it. If a minority don't like it, they can either attempt to convince the majority or even seize power. And that certainly wouldn't be democratic.

I've used LOT plenty of times - never any problems, decent food, nice service.
Though Saudia is my favourite, partly because what they save by not serving alcohol goes on the food budget!

In almost any system though, the leaders are people who've dedicated their lives to becoming leader, like that tit Hague. Maybe absolute monarchy's the answer, where someone's born to rule whether they want to or not. Failing that, just pull a name out of a hat and take a chance.

I agree - a lot of it is wonderfully healthy. Though I worry sometims that there isn't much middle ground - it's either very healthy or very processed.

Whereas those of us who are closer see MacD's full every day. I remember when there were maybe ten around town. Now there are at least 60.

Quite. And it was a reality for many people in Europe (not just in PL) when the shops were empty. What's important is a change in habits when you've got everything at your fingertips.
As a newcomer to PL a few years ago I was appalled to see people (always men) eating in the aisles of supermarkets and taking the empty packaging to the check-out.
That's human survival instinct to eat as much as possible and store it (fat, protein) in the body for later.
