History / What proportion of the Polish population collaborated with the Nazis? [125]

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Police

The Blue Police had little autonomy, and all of its high ranking officers came from the ranks of the German police (Kriminalpolizei).

The role of the Blue Police in its collaboration and resistance towards the Germans is difficult to assess as a whole, and is often a matter of dispute.[11]

those 2 quotes are taken from the link. obviously sth pl hasnt gotten over with or is on the way.

to me quite frankly strange that it comes up here. during the nazi time almost all countries being occupied had collaborators, not only the axis powers were in charge of the greueltaten. so, ?

What proportion of the Polish population collaborated with the Nazis?

i really have no data which can proove that in anyway and if there are i am too lazy to dig them up.

by logic and nazi procedure, in all countries they occupied were people collaborating with them. those who did i willingly, thinking this brown bunch is the nwo ;) and those who were forced to do it, just to survive...

now, for me the 1st group is much more interesting, because they tend to change the course at soon as the allies came in. thats the deal. no moral and usually those were getting in the social ladder quite high.

the quantity is not so important, just from the humanistic perspective its shocking but reality. humans are weak. they fall eventually for all kinds of bs.

Hitler lost 'cause he was foolishly fighting a two-front war!!

thats correct.

Eine Nebenschau die aber leider ins Rampenlicht der Nazipolitik zum HAUPTschauplatz gestellt wurde!

bravo for the german. google translate??? ;)

It might have been intended merely as a sideshow in the beginning, it sure didn't end up that way though!

i am telling you that from the pure technical aspect it was not important. for the propaganda for the use of the nazis and of course later after the war it was THE topic. even more than the millions and abermillions who lost their lives.

the propaganda took over someone else...

You're basically correct here too. Yet, it was Hitler Judophobia which ended up LOSING him the war, becuase he lost sight of other objectives, often forgotten, as he was blinded by this Jew hatred.

hitler lost the war because of many other factors rather than the jews. they were, looking at the whole picture, 'just' a nebenschauplatz

UK, Ireland / Why are Polish people, especially women, so disrespectful toward the English? [437]

all i can say is that this header of the thread in itself is already implying prejudices, anger, rage, misunderstanding, arrogance...not leading anywhere. didnt look who the author is but my guess is uk. am i right?

that is ethnical offense in a way and shouldnt be put up as a thread, especially when the goal is to 'understand each other'....or is sth else the point? ;)

Off-Topic / What languages do you know? [51]

What the f*** are you talking about?

just answered the way your question/comment came across. thats it.

a lot of people on here think you're a Serb

on what basis? just curious.

I can't understand why they do - but I was starting to think you are too

i am german. pls tell me on what basis/reasons you started to believe that?
btw, tnx for the compliment to be a serb.

As long as you don't start abusing Poles

i like poles a lot. after uni my 1st job brought me numerous times to pl with longer stays due to the job as project eng. there i picked up my polish. ;)

I couldn't care less whether you were Serbian, German, Armenian, Azerbaijani or Korean

exactly.

So why does everyone think you're Serbian lol

you think someone is ashamed to be a serb? if i would be a serb and i am proslavic why would i hide that? here on pf with 'my slavic brothers' around? why would i do that.

thats not logical.

btw, nationality is not a title. you cannot choose that. your paranoic brain and that of the others who you call 'everyone' in this matter are too boring. really.

History / Whom do the people in Poland hate more: Germans or Russians? [869]

Having said that, what the Germans had done in WWII was out of character when looked from the perspective of their history about 2 to 3 centuries earlier.

yes. einzigartig brutal. disguise.

Polish goal was to keep their own territory and minding their own business.

what is rather difficult in the sandwich position...

History / Whom do the people in Poland hate more: Germans or Russians? [869]

Countries.
Aren't.
People.

that is correct though not at all practised in reality...just look in the youngest history...

regarding the thread my guess is that poles if you have to call it like that 'hate' more the germans...they made a real frakkin mess in pl...probably because of the closeness and the doktrine lebensraum im osten/slaves are untermenschen....

History / Whom do the people in Poland hate more: Germans or Russians? [869]

Bratwurst boy started his career in PF with largely different opinions from what he supports now he was hardcore germanic in his views but later he softened pressed by audience.

he has now a higher ground, being moderator and somewhat mächtig like a dictator... ;)

To balance between these two is really an achievement.

exactly. they were always, or most of the time in the sandwich lage.

I don't remember him defending nazism or war atrocities or even whitewashing the German (nazi) war crimes. Ever.

sorry, but in order to defend you dont have to do it literally. the attitude is enough and his is fascho.

On the ATP forum he even claimed that Germans caused more suffering than the Russians did.

thats correct. the russians did harm to their people. germans to half of the world during ww2

He's proud to be a German and rightfully so.

by listening to fascho music and collecting helmets? come on...

I don't always agree with him but am yet to see this nazi boy mentality so many here think he espouses. Nothing could be further from the truth.

ok. some proove that you are wrong.

"Hmm...I want my tribe (Germans), my people (Germanics), my race (Whites) thrive and flourish (and that implies culture AND genes).
I don't care so much about how the others fare (I wish them well though)....that's all there is to it I think!"

"Must be nice to live in such a upside-down world Southern....but then, you are Greek!"

"Hague will be more fair to the Serbs as Nuremburg was to the Germans, believe me!"

"...maybe it should be scratched completely for a generation or two, being made really irrelevant!"

just a few of his "brilliant" statements. furthermore putting the iq table from a right wing organisation in order to proove his "racial theory"...

They failed to create a buffer zone between the two because they lacked the same attitude and were not estimated as a power.

they were once a power, but my guess is that the permanent struggle gen westen und osten made them tired. so in total i would guess unentschieden regarding "hate"... ;)

History / History behind Poland and Turkey's Relationship [118]

Peterweg, this is about Poland and Turkey. Very sorry to burst your bubble but quite a few Poles see Serbs as a kind of brother and fight for their cause in Kosovo.

as his nick indocates, he is still trying to find the way....to knowledge and understanding. he doesnt know much about slavic people, although living in pl. maybe he will some day... ;)

calcedonia, are you a liberal or socialist or communist ?

what is that labelling good for? that is soo western style. out!

History behind Poland and Turkey's Relationship

History / History behind Poland and Turkey's Relationship [118]

Anyway the Germans do not want the Turks inside the EU since they don't know what to do with the 3 million turkish immigrants residing in Germany.

genau.

We Turks look Croatians with sympathy as well. After a shock defeat against Croatia, all Turks applauded Croatian team yesterday.

really? no bad press today about the huge defeat? heard that the press already fired your national coach???

I choose tolerance above nationalism anytime.

nice. how do you think about greece and serbia? they are your neighbours? just curious.

We Turks look Croatians with sympathy as well

whom do you not look with sympathy these days? ;)

Blood is thicker than water obviously. Slavic nations are 2nd world nations, they are quite backward, that is why they are poor and seem dim witted.

that is bs my dear guest. where did u pick up that crappp? btw, where the heck are you from, to return the favour. ;)

polish looks, always nice to see. ;)

USA, Canada / Polish-American criminals [70]

criminals u will find in all kinds of ethnical groups. thats nothing particular just for polish people. think about all the italo mafia, they made even tons of movies about them.

why the focus on polish people? they might get that maybe as a degradation.

History / Why is Vatican traditionally on German and not on Polish side? [65]

Poles are exactly the same, it's just that they tend to do a worse job of controlling and managing compared to their Germanic neighbors. Are we to fault the Germans for doing better in this regard

maybe the reason is the slavic vs. the germanic mindset? ;)

History / Why is Vatican traditionally on German and not on Polish side? [65]

BTW, how many divisions does the Vatican have?

too much

now, that the rcc has a german pope, its logic that they are on the german side. when the pope was polish i dont think that there was much connection special one with germany. all in total the rcc is always tending to the ones with enough influence and political power...

rcc is pure selfish in that perspective to secure safe spot and enough support of one of europeans powers...
