HAHA, it's so funny.

He was born in 1950 so he's 62 years old. He's been in Poland for 36 years, more than half his life.......haha, this stuff just cracks me up. Not that he's been there that long....just the language part. Polish is so fukcing messed up. ha!

I don't live in Poland.

I wasn't suggesting you did. I was using "you" as a generalization. ok fine, "mieszka sie". jasne?

No comment. You sound like kid ...o my toy is more expensive than yours!!!!

WHAT?! man you are thick. you don't see the point i was making? THAT is how you interpreted that? what can i say. just forget it.

And as you seem to compare SUPERIORITY of USA to poverty of Poland I do exactly the same.

how, exactly, have i done that. you started comparing, i starting calling your bull$hit.

it's the same thing over and over. people come on here and start making a poland vs usa comparison, i call them out on their bull$hit, and it always turns into, "oh you just think you're so great and everything in the usa is great."

no. it is not all great. stop talking BS and i'll stop typing.

Why pay more? Some people have got properties for years and they have high value now.

i don't know how that's related to the discussion.

what about all these boarded houses in Detroit I think?

You bring up the dumpiest, most economically struggling city in the USA. Good tactics. Anyways, again, it is completely unrelated to the discussion and the reason for my original post about housing prices. If you have your own agenda here, leave me out of it.

I know someone in USA and value of their house in relatively good area is the same as small flat in Krakow. So by comparison how they can come to Poland now and patronise people who have in total higher assets?

I'm not going to give you an economics lesson and I'm certainly not supporting any members of Polonia that "patronise" people living in Poland, but it is not beneficial to live somewhere that has extremely high priced real estate unless you're rich. If you saw the house I live in now and told me that your 50 sq. meter flat in Krakow is more expensive, you would not have anything to brag about, unless spending more for less has suddenly become "stylish".

Even property prices......Except top ones in new York,Chicago.... they are so cheap that if they sell it will not be much to buy in Poland.....

uhhmm....why would someone be jealous that others pay much more for something?

No, you see it through the eyes of someone who couldn't succeed in Poland. That's the harsh truth.

you are a broken record.

Personal attacks, of course. Par for the course. It's the same thing over and over with you, man. I post something, express an opinion, and you tell me that the reason I'm wrong is because I was poor in Poland. It's completely ridiculous. You know what, even if it was true, you still wouldn't have a point.

Come up with something new, man. It's friggin' old.

As to reasons why many people here should "hate" Poland.

i actually really like this post and I think it has a lot of truth to it.

I will always have 2 strikes against me as an American on this forum because people have preconceived notions about us, it's just the way it is, but because i grew up in a country that in most cases is eons ahead of Poland, i simply see stuff that a Pole couldn't even imagine and therefore, form opinions accordingly. i've always said that poles live very isolated lives and this is a big reason why. going from poland to my country is like leaving and going to another planet which is why i see things way way way differently than the average pole.

SO MANY TIMES i get criticized for being the typical arrogant douche american but a lot of that is probably due to the fact that i am simply not afraid to call a spade a spade on here and people get their a$$ hurt over things they KNOW is true about Poland but refuse to admit. I could moan and groan about the USA just as well but hey, this isn't a USA forum and the USA is already brought up enough as it is (i'm bringing her up now based on Ziemowit's post).

if that makes me a douche, so be it, but i think Ziemowit's post hits on some things that would definitely clue someone in on "what's wrong with Poland" because it may not be "wrong" to poles in some cases but completely wrong for foreigners to the country and because we're talking about poland, a country that quite frankly leaves much to be desired, foreigners finding things wrong with poland, especially westerners, is sure to come up and come up often.

Look, I did not have any problems with immigrants while they kept to some far away, sh!tty places, like Warsaw. But when some goddamn pakis start showing up in my neighbourhood, it changes the matter significantly. I can already imagine some paki' getho growing up all around me.

oh oh, ok. so that changes everything. i'm fine with immigrants, as long as i don't see them or have to deal with them.

see guys, i'm not really concerned with how it affects Poland, i'm only concerned with whether or not it's in MY town. logically, one would then deduce that immigrants is "what's wrong with Poland" because yours truly has some in my neighborhood and I don't like it. and by golly, everyone should be concerned for my well being.

you have amazingly selfish agendas. let's give this man a warm round of applause!

What is wrong with Poland? The answer is simple - imigrants.

you gotta be kidding me. the last I checked, Poland was about as white as it gets. 98% Polish and 99.9% white. What the hell are you talking about. Surely that can't be what ails Poland the most.

I feel as though I'm more "free" where I live now, but it's entirely subjective. Conversely, when I went to Poland and saw naked women on magazine covers at Empik, I was totally shocked because that simply doesn't fly in the USA in a big public bookstore like that. It doesn't make one more "free" than the other, it just is.

Trolling is truly the international language. Keep it up though kid, your not bad.

I've called you out on several occasions on this forum for swooping in and making Poland vs. The West comparisons....when it has nothing at all to do with the topic. It is the ONLY thing you have posted since you started here. And you call me a troll.

Keep it up though kid, your not bad.

Maybe calling me "kid" makes you feel older and more mature than you actually are but I can assure you you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm probably older than you are. Dear lord I hope I am, I can't imagine someone as naive as you being younger than me.

But if you're going to live roughly the same lifestyle either way would you rather be in Krakow or some shithole like Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit etc.

dude, cut the crap. you bring up what is probably the nicest city in Poland and then mention the USA's $hittiest. go ahead, make another ridiculous comparison to try and carry out your agenda. this isn't your first thread where you prop up Poland as much as you can and then crap on the USA in the next breath. give it a rest, you sound fecking ridiculous. you're just another guy who came to visit for a few days, saw lots of nice poon, and decided to find a polish forum to talk about it.

And unlike Poland there is no national identity or cultural unity.

Captain Obvious to the rescue! Hey boys and girls, you know why that's true? Because the United States of America is the largest melting pot in the world and Poland is......hooooooomogenous!!!

Let me backtrack and say that I am not here to defend Poland. I was only there 10 days and many of you know the country much better than I.

OH NO, what ever would have given us that impression. Haha, 10 days in Poland and you've already written off the USA as an inferior country. I had the goggles on a bit when I first moved to Poland but you my friend take the cake, and then the whole bakery. Get the fukc outta here, dude.

Wrong.

Not by much.

English isn't an official language in Poland, believe it or not.

Regardless, it's the international language, and for any foreigner visiting Poland, not being able to use English is a downer.

Life / 3 reasons why winter is the best time of the year in Poland [58]

14" of snow? That's what, roughly 35cm? Nothing special.

In October that distance from the equator, yeah, it's pretty special.

I've also seen 36" in a 36 hour period in March. 2 mornings in a row, snow level going over the top of the snowblower.

In New York state just a few hours north, there are some towns where the houses are built with 2 front doors, 1 on the ground floor, 1 on the second floor because every year, a storm will come that will completely snow in the ground exit and your only way out is the 2nd floor. They also have towns with entire road systems built for snow mobiles because it's literally impossible to operate a car once winter really sets in.

I spent a decade driving in the northeast, but hey, what do I know about winter and driving in the snow.

1. I love love love to be uncomfortable every time I step outside.

2. Lots of laundry rocks my world.

3. I prefer high risk driving conditions.

Wealthy people just don't live in France full stop.

This is the funniest damn thing I've read in a long time.

Quite obviously, you've never actually driven a car in a proper winter. Or in Poland full stop.

I grew up in New Jersey dude. My parents had a blizzard that dropped 14" of snow in October last year. I've driven in more snow storms than you ever will. And yes, I've driven in Poland plenty, I just never owned a car there. You GOTTA try and come up with something better to say, Mikey.

Uncomfortable? A good pair of shoes and a good jacket and you're sorted.

The old "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing" gag. There's a reason why wealthy people live in the south of France.

Saying anything more about this would be like explaining to someone why driving on dangerously slippy roads with a wife and children in the car is undesireable.....

Driving in snow is the most fun anyone can have legally, in my opinion.

Oh no you dit' int!

This is why conversation is futile with you, man.

"Stabbing yourself in the face is bad for you." Go ahead Delph, work your magic.

Law / Polish Visa Refused, Going To Make Appeal, What should I do ? [81]

I also showed them the COMPLETELY PAID flight ticket !! (Departure and RETURN) 100% paid

meaningless. often times a 1 way ticket is more expensive than a round trip. When my wife and I moved from Poland to the USA, we both bought round trip tickets instead of one way because they were cheaper. much cheaper.

I showed them Bank account flow that I have money in bank for the trip

or money to float you while you look for ways of earning money while in Poland.

I showed the HOTEL RESERVATION + the hotel sent me an invitation letter which they had written in it that I have paid 50% of the hotel money.

if you were planning on overstaying, what would someone do differently? gotta stay somewhere when you land, right? what does a hotel reservation on the day you arrive have to do with overstaying or not?

BTW, where do you live?

Life / Polish people are the most ignorant people in the world! [331]

You need to understand context, reasons and circumstances.

so explain it.

What is excuse of the USA for its failings ? Tourist cannot wonder outside certain zones(or into shady neighborhoods) without fear of being killed for proverbial dollar.
That worse than third world countries. Whats your excuse >? No amount of polished manners and neighborly chit-chat can erase that !

off topic.

Well, to have a fruitful debate is better no to quote posers out of context

so explain to the forum how it was out of context and how what you said is different than what hudsonhicks wrote. yep, that outta clear things up.

Yes they are rude and ignorant, but we cannot blame them, years behind the iron curtain has had its toll.

and then:

I take that is your picture!! You are an exemplary specimen of the best the United Kingdom has to offer -polite, enlightened, mannered and civilized.
I like you already!

"Polish people and their culture are often times ignorant, rude and demoralized due to communism."

hahahaha. now THAT'S some good crazy talk.

seriously, who are you referring to?? I mean, you're just throwing in your crazy random anti-american agendas willy nilly here. it doesn't even make sense.

btw wages in Poland are 2.5-3 times lower, there's no excuse not to travel somewhere further.

Your definition of "close" differs from mine.

You're in Colorado and you want to "travel abroad". Where do you go for a nice vacation "abroad" that's comparable in distance from Poland to any of those countries you listed? There's nothing in Canada and Mexico is a dump, as well as 99% of south america. Give me your travel plans and leave out the Caribbean islands please because Americans already travel there all the time.

Oh, and for what it's worth, I just added those percentages up, it comes to 89.2. What, or where should I say, is missing?
