They don't have any strategy. They don't even have any tactics to win. They're just throwing a cr*p in hope that some of it may stick to their opponents...

I know that I should be content with the state of centre-left side in Poland but it's still sad to witness this pathetic spectacle.

That's the level of discussion represented by a "total opposition". Duda doesn't have to do nothing to win. All he needs to do is to wait and to monitor the situation.

It will increase since they've proved that they are effective politicians. In the past many voters have voted for lesser evil because they feared they would "waste" their vote voting for a small party without a big chance of getting into parliament. Konfederacja have disarmed this fear.

@pawian, it later on translated into 7% of votes and 11 MEPs for Konfederacja in a parliamentary elections. Those who attracted those voters were JKM, G.Braun, Bosak and Winnicki.

@pawian, G. Braun is one of the leaders of Konfederacja. I remember Macierewicz's desperate appeal to G.Braun (and S.Michalkiewicz) to stop talking about Just 447 and to stop creating alternative on the right side of a political scene in Poland.

I also remember a disbelief in media when he received 12% of votes in 2019 elections in a left-leaning Gdansk as an outsider who started a low-budget campaign just a few weeks before the elections.

My memory span is long enough to remember that just a few years ago mainstream media have "predicted" that the National Movement and Conservative Libertarians will never achieve political power in Poland. And when they formed a new political party they said that Konfederacja will collapse very quickly. They didn't. Then they said that they will never enter a Polish Parliament. They did... :-)

No, I didn't. Grzegorz Braun is a fearsome opponent who pushed PiS on many levels and has forced Kaczynski to publicly explain himself about "Just 447". He has also forced PiS to change their political decisions and to remove SLD chairman from the parliamentary commision d/s social politics. Just a single G.Braun counts for 10 MEPs

They are desperate. No one will beat PiS in populism :-) And they are also not reliable to Polish voters on this field. So far they are dancing to PiS music

I have to give that to Kaczynski that he is a few levels above POKO-SLD-PSL "political elites". At least Tusk was a some kind of political opponent. Budka, Kidawa and the rest of them are just a pitiful muppets...

Yes, the old order has benefited Western Germany greatly. Most Germans have probably started to think that it was a natural order of things and they deserved it as their "natural right". Yet it was achieved thanks to a dominant political position in continental Europe which derived from a solid economical power built by a few decades of capitalism, safety and stability provided by the US and a Marschall plan as well. Now the times are changing and politico-economical order in Europe will also change.

I would if it benefited Poland. The thing is that there's a conflict of interest between our countries and things which would benefit Germany doesn't usually benefit Poland and vice versa.

I would also be very selective and careful in choosing those groups to be sure that they are not neo-nazi sympathizers or supporters.

He will take a part in a race and gather much needed support in the process. He is one of the faces of Konfederacja and the media exposure during the elections will later benefit his political party.

The main goal is to normalize right-wing spectrum of a political scene in Poland. Many people still hold some outdated views of a Polish Nationalism and Conservatism. K.Bosak is a young, modern and eloquent face of a National Movement.

Polish nationalism did not start two World Wars (out of 2 in total) and haven't created holocaust. As simple as that. There are more differences but I think those two are vivid enough. Judge them by their fruits

That's not exactly correct. Polish Ruch Narodowy [National Movement] does cooperate with main Italian, Hungarian and Slovak national movements. There are talks with French and Spaniards from VOX too.

Wrong. I'm simply putting the interest of Poland before everything else. It is called "nationalism" not "inter-nationalism" for a reason.

It would be lack of substantial funds to run a large scale campaign and a soft ban on Konfederacja in public media.

Konfederacja will get as little air time on public media as it is legally possible. K.Bosak is very difficult debate partner because he is always well prepared and not possible to unnerve him in discussion. He is also the only full-blooded conservative standing on the right side from PiS.


I'm not repeating after someone but making my own judgement based on a state of a collective Polish soul :-). This is something you probably would not understand. Just put a trust in my judgement based on my past predictions of 2019 Parliamentary elections, rise of Konfederacja and Independence March in 2018...


Kidawa-Blonska is a Komorowski in skirt. Same level of competence and political judgement. She only looks better on photos. She is the most convenient political opponent for Duda in the second ballot.


Kosianiak-Kamysz would stand a chance against Duda if he had a support from PO and Leftists. But right now PO would not let PSL to rise as a political competition. And Lewica promotes a man whose main "political quality" is being homosexual...

If there's something that Poles don't like in politics the most it is an uncontrollable public verbal aggression of politicians and groups which support them. It is not a sign of strenght of opposition but of weakness.

I'm certain of victory of A. Duda for 95%. I reserve 5% for an occasion in which Duda would punch a cheerful toddler in front of the TVN cameras :-)

Poles and Polish is written with capital letter. This low key German arrogance is why you're dissed in Europe.
