News / RUSSIA TO MAKE PUBLIC THE KATYN FILES... [274]

April 13 (Today) is the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Katyn Massacre.

Let us today remember and pray for the victims, on this the 80th anniversary of the Katyn massacre.

It is exactly 30 years ago that the Russians admitted that they committed the massacre.

Real Estate / Bank repossessed properties database in Poland? [15]

are big fishes lurking

I would advise keeping well away from bailiff repossessions (komornik) you are likely to end up with a Polish family vendetta against you.

Polish family's tend to live close by especially in the country, its not worth the hassle, maybe commercial properties would be ok.

UK, Ireland / Irish (live in London) moving to Poland [44]

get cracking on a Polish license

No chance I cant be bothered with the bureaucracy nor would I ever part with my Brit licence for a Polish one.

Brexit won't make much difference maybe a IDP from the post office will be required., and this allows me to drive any Polish registered /insured car.

As for where I reside I have a few places in Europe and I travel between them , and no I won't start adding up how long I stay in each place, All financial interest is UK so I guess I always will be a UK entity.

An American Polish friend

Yes its different for those outside the EU, you then need a IDP. But Euro licences are ok no bother from the cops.

Firstly Dolno, the law states otherwise and it would be plain silly to break the law

Ok point taken, tee hee.

Oh and its best to get a friendly pole to own and insure the car, you never get any hassle, you just say you borrowed it, In Poland the car is insured and not the driver.

You have to exchange your UK license for a Polish one

No need, nobody here is bothered certainly not the police , people have been here 15 years and still have their original UK or European licence.

"Coś zrobił?" instead of "Co zrobiłeś"

I know you may laugh:) but not as if I have ever had a modern polish education, but I am finding what you are talking about as very educational as I have never read or written in Polish.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

So, don't you return the favor and never tell us what guns and how many we need.

Where have I told u wot u can and can't have in the USA, I have lived in the USA and shot probably every weapon there is to shoot , I have also been out in the desert shooting against your best 50 cal pilots , so i know my guns, I don't need them in Poland unless I go to a registered gun range and fire off a few rounds with a hired glock.

Hey I feel safe here , its a really good feeling.

Keep your guns you are going to need them soon enough.

I'm glad you enjoyed the bait it was my (Ahole) pleasure.

Life / What is Poland going to be like in the 2050s? [72]

Sheffield produces more steel now

But of a very high quality, I am proud to say that my family still has a connection to this day.

Poland is moving toward quality industry its the way to go for the future.

But as we have all learned recently its good for Poland to hang onto core functions , food production and critical medical resources etc.

Life / What is Poland going to be like in the 2050s? [72]

Not in the coal mining and steelmaking

Yeah dead in the water industries lets face it one "coal" huge polluter same problem in Poland now , two "steel" (my dad was a steel worker in the midlands) . dead in the water because of the Asian markets .

The point is industries change and move to where the labour force is cheaper, this will effect Poland into the future, the government and people need to adapt to survive, my father became a welder and a paint sprayer when he was no longer needed in the rolling mills.

Fact is adapt or die.

Real American

My understanding is that it is a person who falls under the clause "Natural Born Citizen", most African Americans are "Natural born citizens", but rich you are not A "natural born citizen" you are an expat commie from Poland that America took pity on and gave a passport to so shut up.

Anyway Poland does not need your dumb ass gun laws because we don't have your dumb ass crimes happening here.

If I were you I would get down to wallmart and buy 50 cases of twelve gauge cartridges cos corona virus summer riot is coming to a mall near you very soon.

Jewish pacifists who obediently went on their last ride to Auschwitz?

You have no idea how much your silly childish words may hurt those whom suffered the most, you might as well say that my parents went obediently to Siberia, you really have no clue , do you really think a polish villager with a gun from wallmart would have any chance against the German Nazi or Soviet Army's.

You bloody old fool.

to get a usable firearm in Poland.

Oh they are available everywhere, but not many people are interested in having them.

The old Polish joke, A guy asked his neighbour why he was watering his window boxes in winter , the reply was i'm not watering my plants i'm oiling my guns.

If they had a gun and drunk they most likely would get shot by the cop.

Cops who are members of the hunting club also get pi$$ed, in fact most in the village get pi$$ed at least once a week , there is a drinking barn dedicated to the drinking sport, its a way of life here.

What scares you about guns

When it come to guns it's the local buraki in the "hunting club" who are always pi$$ed wombling around the village with loaded rifles.

when they see something they want to shoot they don't care about anything that maybe behind the target, that includes my roof tiles.

Alcoholics and guns don't mix

left for the grownups who twice saved your butts

That includes you, don't forget you are a polak same as the rest of us , you remind me of white boys who grow dreadlocks and pretend they are related to bob marley. You are a polak live with it.

Poland don't need guns in supermarkets or nukes, but don't worry Poland and it's people will pull together when needed.

Real Estate / Poland - getting a tenant out (post-lease) [7]

2 turks and a brit.

Doesn't say much for his choice of tenants, I would stick to Americans,Germans Austrians etc, always a mistake to rent to economic migrants, IT professionals and business managers on short term contracts are the gold standard when it comes to tenants.
