i find both peoples to be great and generous.

Well according to stats Irish people are the most liked by Poles so there must be something to it.

The most favorite Polish nations are Irish , English , Czech , French and Italians ; least like the Arabs , Romanians and Roma - according to a poll by CBOS

Love / My husband is Polish and I was wondering why he drinks all the time. [66]

I have 6 to 8 drinks ever night ... here are the numbers half and half ... half rum and half coke now if ur not sure what it feels like have a few ... right ... I need a shrink to ... LOL

I drink about once every two weeks, most people grow out of it, i get more pleasure out of eating good food and exercise, i guess i'm thinking i don't wanna end up like many Polish men did.

Well, BB, you clearly have no high opinion of Slavic countries besides Germany's beloved Russia.

I hope Germany's friendly footing with Poland isn't just because it needs it for productive economic relations with Russia, and is authentic. Personally i think that Angela Merkel and Guido Westerwelle are sincere in what they do.

What will change, Crow? How will you win back this territory? It won't happen democratically as Thaci won the elections just 2 weeks ago. Serbia really needs help on this one.

Hate to say it Crow but it seams like Serbia is really in an isolated position maybe lack of friendly Slavic nations.

£ódź, how do you get round the fact that Russian just isn't that popular to learn here in Poland? English is by far the more popular

People like my parents who speak Russian will tell you it was a waste of time, Poles learned Russian, Russians learned English. Nowadays English and German are most popular in Poland.

Considering all the mixing of peoples (and people) throughout history,
they are at least 30-35% Slavic (and we are at least 30-35% Germanic). Common sense, really.

Yet the same thing could also be said about Poles and German blood in them. I myself know a dozen people with a mixed Polish/German background and this is mainly people from eastern Poland!!!! Now imagine Poles who live around Poznan, Wroclaw, Gdansk, in Silesia. Like my favorite newscaster Anita Werner from TVN :-)

True, Pennboy. I see where he is coming from but it would be far too much like Us Vs Them.

What would Europe and the rest of the world think if Poland/Russia/Ukraine announced suddenly a Slavic Federation? or Germany a Germanic Federation with Austria? WWIII is coming.

Yes I have read the topic:Poland in a Slavic Union/Alliance/Federation? That sounds like Poland closely together with other Slavs, less friendly and excluding other non-Slavic nations, sounds racist.

£ódź seriously if you mention something like Slavic Union or brotherhood to a Polish person he'll look at you like you've just got released from a mental institution ( sala numer 5) brotherhood with Russians, Ukrainians?? Saying something like we should all be together and we share the same blood sounds like some insane racist talk to a Pole.

Sorry I meant the older and middle ages people, the younger Poles don't have a problem with anybody, different generation, unless he's some unemployed skinhead from a broken home.

Krakow is nice but i dunno the colors of the buildings seam dull and boring, Gdansk and Wroclaw have much nicer old towns.
