Life / - Conservative Radio talk shows in Poland - [60]

A program they could call into live on the air to ask questions and blow off some steam.

Too risky. Somebody might say that he doesn't approve of the Muslim immigration and a SWAT team with tanks may show up where he lives.

Polish radio is pretty bland.

...which is surprising to me, if not shocking, as I remember the days when we would talk nothing but politics na Polibudzie - out in the open, loud, and without fear of UB.

The subjects may have changed, but the Polish DNA has not. Somehow, "Polish" and "bland" just don't go together in one sentence very well for me.

LBC Radio in London have presenters from across the political spectrum,

Does that "spectrum" include "I am against immigration and especially by Muslims". Has any radio host ever said that and kept his job?

Because they have never been introduced and educated to the radical opposition.

Exactly. It's like asking a kid who was beaten daily what he thinks.

In most of Europe American style conservative radio is just a non-starter,

It reminds me of the old days when people were scared to death to even speak at all more less freely.

As they say, Bingo!
Fear and hopelessness - the prevailing state of mind in the USEU republics.

Genealogy / Polish Romani (gypsy) surnames [64]

I know Polish Gypsies

?
Like Polish Americans? Is there a Gypsieland somewhere? Do those Polish Gypsies see themselves as Poles? Like ever or just when it's convenient? How did they get there? Are they Poles first who happen to be Gypsies? Which comes first?

Man, do I hate those nomadic parasites whose only occupation is lie and steal, but never farm, enlist, and assimilate.

I have a cute story about two them scamming a trusting man out of 15 million bucks.

No, I don't have any stories about their positive contribution to the countries where they squat.

just an early attempt to steer an interesting thread back to immigration and Muslims.

No. It's about the freedom of speech and this thing we call the 2nd Amendment. Those subjects are merely the acid test of how much of that freedom your rulers allow you to have.

And I am not buying any of that bullsh*it that Poles are not into politics. Only the dead ones. There is not a man over 20 anywhere on the globe that wouldn't talk politics if you remove the fear of persecution or prosecution. Not one.

Who are exactly those conservatives?

Easy answer: everybody in the US. What we, as conservatives, want is to conserve and protect our chosen life styles, our culture, our language, our borders, our financial future for ourselves and our current and future families. We hate the globalists and the depravities they promote in the name of civil rights. Abortion included.

Sorry for as a stupid mistake...I meant the 1st Amendment, of course.

Flag waving patriots are well catered to by TVP

Is there another kind? "Flag waving patriot" in this sentence looks like a slap. I wonder why.
Is it because the EU is a new Soviet Union where the citizens are expected to be feel patriotic only to the super-state, the EU, but not to the component republics like Poland?

Just curious... If a Polish guy were to say on a Polish radio station that he hates Muslim immigrants, would he be criminally charged under the Polish penal code or the UK? Is there an extradition treaty between the EU republics for such offenses as speaking freely on unapproved subjects?

For the same reason why it would be stupid to give a Frenchman an AR-15; he wouldn't know what to do with it and what it is for. To make cheese or love with?

All those -isms the Euro-holes invented over the years made them all feel like subjects and subjects are not supposed to speak without prior authorization. And, god forbid, about things that really matter, like taxes and immigration.

The American talk radio and panel discussion TV are insufferable. I stopped watching Hannity for the same reason why Rush is hard to take in large doses: they preach to the choir of same minded people and invite the guests who are the host's political clones. I have more fun talking to myself.

I want blood, debates, argument. I will take insults before what I would be getting from your typical left and right outlets. To his credit, Tucker is not another Hannity clone and often rips into the RINO's. CNN is beneath the insult level, so that's out.

News / Polexit? Almost half of the Poles believe that Poland would be better off outside of the EU [548]

By no means we should imitate them because they've became a slowly declining civilizations

Amen to that. That's what happens when the "civil rights" of individuals are not just ahead of the tribe survival but as the only objective. Let the whole village go to hell, but passing judgment on one promiscuous idiot who by the age of 20 has three kids, no husband, three different "fathers", and no income, is a big no-no. It might upset and offend her.

Market benefits are like an on/off switch. One day you have them, next day they are gone. A million Muslim scum is forever and on the way to become 2.

You are confusing govt spending with the total economy

I am confusing nothing. Find me one document that says that any permanent deficit is sustainable. Just one.
The US deficits will be just as devastating to those who will be responsible for it - our kids and grandkids - as any other deficit. The ONLY difference between the US corrupt ruling gangsters and me or you is that they can inflate their debt away by issuing or printing more money. Period. End of the story.

And that is true regardless of what kind of system of governing we are discussing.
At 23 trillion and growing, the "Fed" creates cheap money out of thin air to keep the Ponzi scam from collapsing. If they let the interest rates assume their natural level, the US would have to cease its operations and use all of the tax revenues just to pay the interest on those 23 trillion dollar debt. And that is where the riots break out...

Good Lord, please take over from this point and teach the morons how to add and subtract.

All that Russian cuttness aside, do you know what deficits are and that permanent deficits, being unsustainable, lead to a financial ruin? How far back to the first grade do you want to go?

Did you know that 10 minus 12 is -2, aka as a deficit somebody else has to cover? Or are you stuck on some new economic paradigm where deficits are just fine? Help me understand that miracle.

he benefits of trade are a multiplication, not a simple addition of inflows and outflows

In Novosibirsk, they told us that if a person, family, a company, or a country receives less than it spends or gives away, sooner or later, they will be broke. Those dumb Russians. You can multiply a negative number all you want and it is still negative. Funny how that works.

In exchange they received easy access to very starved market for example.

If that was an even exchange, Poland couldn't claim ANY benefit from being part of the EU. That's not my opinion. That's pure accounting and math.

It's the net bottom line that counts and, so far, Poland wins on the backs of the foreign taxpayers even if only the private funds are used today. This is known as crony capitalism where the profits are private and the losses, if any, are happily passed on to the taxpayers. The US corrupt swamp made it perfect and the EU Western "democracies" are just the same. Those cases are called "too big to fail" so they don't.

USA, Canada / The proper behavior an American should show when visiting Poland [115]

youth throughout most of the world, particularly here in the States, have precious little to say.

Older people are too cautious and too preoccupied with their pains, aches, doctor visits and the fear of impending death. You can see it in their faces. They also tend to be too cynical - just like me. That is why I enjoy talking to the younger ones.

Life / Opłatek, not presents, epitomises the true Polish Christmas spirit [85]

it shows that you do not care for them throughout the year.

Terri, you are a genius. When I was reading that post it felt like I wrote it myself. You are so damn right. The date-compelled gifts or words are worth zero. Tell her that you love her any other day when she just got up and before the makeup goes on and it means something. On the other hand, one "you weigh too much" and you are fu*cked for life and not in a good way.

We quit buying gifts years ago because we have everything we need. Plus, shopping is so much more fun than getting it all wrapped up.

Law / Prostitution in Poland, is it legal? [24]

You maybe able to claim this expense as tax-deductible travel expense

...or as a medical expense to treat depression. You would have to decide if it's hers or yours first.
