News / SCHOOL GAMES END IN PREGNANCY IN A POLISH TOWN [49]

Game in secondary school gets five pregnant

26.05.2010 14:56
Five young teenagers got pregnant after playing games with their school mates from a lower secondary school in the town of Ostroda, northern Poland.

Students, aged 14-15, played a game called "the sun" or "a star". "Girls lay on the floor in a circle with their heads together and eyes closed and boys copulate with them, taking turns. The winner was the boy who managed to finish the intercourse last," one of the students revealed.

The game resulted in several pregnancies. "This year five girls got pregnant, two of them have already given birth," said Anna Czarnocka, the school's headmaster.

News / Nuclear Power in Poland? Yes, please! Absolutely nobody disagrees! [73]

Have you also been to the Duga-3 over-the-horizon radar array?

Yep...had my photo taken just in front of this massive radar array....

Yes Chernobyl is definatly worth a visit , when i first went the road was blocked by concrete blocks and declared out of bounds , but you could get around them on a motorcycle , and later in a 4 x 4 by going through the forest....

Now there seems to be no restriction , i believe they are running tours there now...!

News / Nuclear Power in Poland? Yes, please! Absolutely nobody disagrees! [73]

I think you mean Pripyat.

I have been to both Pripyat and Chernobyl....In case anyone does not know , Pripyat was the first town to be evacuated when the power station at Chernobyl exploded...

The residents were told to take only essential documents , and get on board one of the many buses brought into the town , they left everything they owned behind , thinking they could return later , they were never able to return...

Its one of the saddest places i have ever been to in my whole life , a ghost town , abandoned by its people in a panic , now taken over completly by nature....

Try telling those people , who watched their childern die slowly that nuclear power is a good thing....

News / RUSSIA TO MAKE PUBLIC THE KATYN FILES... [274]

why is it "brave"?

Just my opinion....and yes , its 70 years late , but the communist system was full of lies , even to their own people , so its no suprise they denied the murder of prisoners of war...

News / Nuclear Power in Poland? Yes, please! Absolutely nobody disagrees! [73]

Tomorow i am setting off to meet my Russian girlfriend in Kiev , in the Ukraine , whilst there i wish once again to visit a place 80 miles north of Kiev , a small town called Chernobyl...

Nuclear power may be a great idea , but i am not sure that its entirely safe , anyone who has visited the dead zone around Chernobyl would have very serious doubts about having such a power station near them...

When i was in Belarus i helped an organisation that tried to look after children affected by this disaster , its not something i will ever forget....

I am not sure there is any other way to produce the power Poland needs...but i do wish there was....!

News / RUSSIA TO MAKE PUBLIC THE KATYN FILES... [274]

I read to day that the Russian president has ordered that all the files relating to the killing of some 2200 Polish officers in the forests of Katyn be made public....

I am sure there will be some who will consider this as some kind of sneaky Russian trick , but it seems to me they really do want to have a better relationship with Poland , and realise that this issue needs to be brought out in the open in order for wounds to heal...

The Katyn files have up to now only been available only to specialist researchers , this is a brave move from the Russian president , i hope it will be well recieved in Poland....

History / The great mistakes of Poland's history? [216]

Attacking the Panzer units with cavalry?

It was actually a Panzer support company the cavalry attacked , there were no tanks present at the time...later some tanks showed up along with a cameraman , he filmed the bit we have all seen with the dead cavary horses among the tanks...made a great story for the Germans back home...but not quite true....

Many villagers, once they move to the city, go through great lengths to rid themselves of any signs of "country". One of the biggest insults is to be "ze wsi" - from a village.

Oh...thats where i am going wrong then....i am trying to do the opposite....!

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

And who will find the black boxes? And who has the exertise to "doctor" them? The KGB that's who.

The KGB does not exist any more , their security services are now called the FSB...

Now why would they want to doctor the black boxes , maybe to show the pilot did not fly to low after all , and that in fact the aircraft was shot down by a Russian missile..??

The black boxes will be examined by a joint team from Russia and Poland , i think the FSB will not be involved in this in any way , unless there is some evidence that there was a terrorist attack , not likely i think...!

I do wonder at the mentality of people who think the Russians had a hand in this disaster... An aircraft hits the ground trying to land at a poorly equipped airfield in thick fog , but no , can,t be an accident...must be a Russian plot to kill the Polish government.... what a dick...!

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

The pilot seems to be at fault but he had the plane at an unnatural angle

It may well be that the planes unatural angle was caused by it losing part of its wing after contact with a radar antenna before it hit the trees...

The shape of an aircrafts wings are designed to generate lift as the air flows over them , thats what keeps it in the air , and if you get a situation where one of those wings suddenly becomes a bit smaller , perhaps due to hitting a radar antenna and losing a portion of wing . you will get a whole lot less lift on that wing...

The first thing that happens is that wing will drop as it loses lift , and in many cases the aircraft will roll over and go into a spin...

If you have enough height , and you have not lost too much wing , you can compensate the loss of lift on that wing , by use of the controls , but this aircraft was already way too low , and the dipped wing just made it even more impossible to keep clear of the looming trees...It may be it had lost enough wing to be certain to crash anyway , but further contacts with the trees made a crash certain...Hitting the trees with one wing dipped would have sent the aircraft cartwheeling into the ground...there was no chance of any survivors....

The crash killed 97 people, 88 of them were members of the official Polish delegation. Black boxes have been found on the crash site, Itar-Tass reports.

The plane crashed when trying to land on the military airdrome of Smolensk. The fog was very thick, and the Polish pilots attempted to land the plane three times. The fourth attempt resulted in the tragedy. Specialists say that the plane brushed against tree tops and crashed in flames.

ur ex army what u think?

Well...looks exactly like you would expect it to look after an aircraft hit the ground short of the runway...

My guess is that 300 metres from the runway the pilot decided to go aound one more time , and banked the aircraft left..unfortunatly he was so low at this point his left wing hit the tree tops and the aircraft cartwheeled into the trees , breaking up and catching fire....

The only thing that puzzles me is this six minutes with no contact with the ground...?

What would cause a pilot to make an attempt at landing in such weather after losing his only guide to where the dam runway was....????

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

If the Russians do not allow Poland full rights to the investigation, I will see it as a assasination.

And no doubt if someone knocks your beer over you see it as a good reason to start a fight....

At the moment the Russians are doing just what any civilised country would do , and i doubt they will be anything other than fully helpfull in any investigation..

I am pretty sure the cause of this crash is going to be human error..but it sure as hell was not a Russian error....

stop being such a dick...

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

Why he didn't go to Moscow is beyond me.

They set off late from Poland..diverting to Smolemsk or Moscow would have meant missing this ceremony....it was either chance a landing..or suffer the embarrassment of missing the ceremony....Most pilots having had a near miss on three attempts would not chance a fourth attempt....but this guy did...i think he must have been under some pressure to do so....

What he was attempting was very very risky...and sadly he did not get away with it....

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

the plain was also pretty much smashed to pieces.

Even during landing the plane is going to be travelling at some 170 mph , and if as reports say one wing clipped the trees first you are going to have an aircraft cartwheeling through trees at some speed...its going to be smashed to pieces , and there will be no survivors....on top of this there was also a fire which would kill anyone who did survive...

You have some chance if the aircraft is involved in a controlled crash landing , but in this kind of crash...there is little hope...

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

he wouldn't've clipped a tree.

Its not that hard to clip a tree if you are on the wrong glide path , which it seems he might have been....You only need to be slighty below the glide path , and the result is you are fifty feet to low approaching the end of the runway , thats more than enough to make contact with a tree top , especially in thick fog when you can see nothing at all...

One witness , a Polish guy said that the left wing was dipped , possibly as a result of the pilot banking the aircraft to go round again , if he was already too low then that dropped wing would be all that was needed to contact a tree and cause the crash....

We are all just guessing untill the accident report comes out...but i would put money on it just being down to an unwise decision to land in bad weather..nothing more...no sinister plot..just a human error that resulted in tragedy....

News / Polish President Lech Kaczynski and gov officials die in a plane crash in Russia [686]

They were attempting to land at an airport that did not have the latest in landing technology , and they were trying to do it in bad weather...looks very much like an accident to me....!

The aircraft they were flying in was not the best machine around , but nor was it an old deathtrap , this aircraft has a safety record thats comparable with many others of its type and age....

There is no doubt , that the President of Poland should be travelling around in the most modern and safe aircraft there is , and this particular aircraft should have been replaced with something better , but maybe it would not have made any difference to this accident..?

One story i have heard suggests that the pilot was told repeatedly that he was below the glide path , in other words , he was trying to land on the runway before he reached the runway , and as a result hit some trees some distance from the runway...

The pilot may have been under some pressure not to screw up the presidents schedule by diverting to another safer airport , but in all cases involving the safety of the aircraft , the pilot has the last say on this , no matter who is on board....

Unless they come up with some kind of technical failure , which i think is unlikely in this case , then its down to human error made in bad weather conditions....

Life / Any "wet" plans for Śmigus-dyngus? [51]

I don,t think i would see the funny side if some muppet threw water all over the inside of my car and risked blowing all the electrics , but if i am walking the street and get soaked i won,t complain too much...

I am sure there are those that see this day as an excuse for thuggery and law breaking , but i think its a fun tradition that should continue...

I just hope its a nice warm day tomorow...!
