Life / Is Polish church involved in politics too much? [137]

Clearly a sign of

Not quite. I would also blame it on catholic schools they attended. In two tier system. :):):)

raises questions about your attention to detail,

Exactly!!! I regularly catch myself not caring about minor details anymore....... And I feel justifiied in it coz It is the requirement of modern times, I suppose.
standards in your teaching

But I don`t know English at all. I allow students to teach each other. I took this idea from the Sheherezada`s Tales of 1001 Nights.

Correct Poloniusz.

Hey, you filthy sewer dweller, how long did it take you to recover the computer from your fellow rats and post this fawning stupidity???? hahahaha

It seems we are back to old good times with you. All rite!!! :):):)

don`t ask me who contributed to that situation.

My wife and me still go to church for Sunday mass with younger kids. Older ones prefer to follow their own ways and choices. They are all anti PiS, btw.
Now, the procedure is simple - a person who rejects PIS as obsessive liars, thieving bolsheviks and political gangsters, will associate the RC church with them and refuse to have anything in common with RC religion.

What beauty.

Pleaaasee.... I can see such sunsets every day here in my countryside. Much better ones appear every 7 days aka once a week.

Life / Owning a house in true countryside of Poland - stories [692]

You don`t believe in Chinese genius in creating such real life systems as Chinese Zodiac or Feng Shui??

I do coz they all hold water to an amazingly great extent.
Why?
Because the Chinese have had a lot of people and time to check out and prove certain correlations between various spheres of life. So, throughout thousands of years of their history, having a look at millions of people/ families/households etc, one day they came to the conclusion that a neglected garden full of dead trees contributed to health problems and possibly, an earlier death of its owner(s). In contrast, an owner who took care of his/her garden, enjoyed a long illness-free life.

Do you mean what I know now????????

Excellent comment on the PIS politician`s rally in an RC church:

Przemysław Czarnek claims that he did not talk about politics in church. The problem is that religion is so mixed with politics in his speeches that when he talks about Christian Poland, he thinks about a country ruled by PiS. This is the best way to ensure that churches will be empty.

In a decade or two, when first churches in Poland are turned into community or sports centres or posh cafes/restaurants, don`t ask me who contributed to that situation.

Food / Panga Fish (available in Polish stores); I'll never eat it again. Alternative? [68]

with raspberry juice?

No, I added Coke later on. hahahaha Harnaś is mediocre beer and I drink it only for patriotic reasons as a Pole living close to the Polish Tatra Mountains.
What you see in this pinkish foam is the remains of my fermented red beetroot juice which I often drink for breakfast. I hadn`t washed my beer mug coz i am economical on water. :):):)

Feng Shui system which I try to stick to in our garden forbids any dead elements

Dying or dead plants and trees in the vicinity of a house can bring serious health problems for the residents of the house. Always be on the look out for dying plants and trees. If there is dead tree near your house make sure to cut it off completely. Stumps of trees facing either the front door or visible from the house can cause serious illness too.

close to the roots as possible? No stump remaining.

Wow!!! So fekking correct guess!!! Thanks! :):):)

I hate stumps. Feng Shui system which I try to stick to in our garden forbids any dead elements of once living organisms remaining near the house coz it spoils the good atmosphere.

I cut down an old plum tree which didn`t bear fruit and was an alien element in the birchwood which I am trying to create in one corner of the garden. In the background, you can see little birch trees which I planted this year.

Check out the result:

My wife made a lot of tomato preserves. I gladly used them up for my dishes. Below, fried cheese zucchini with meat in tomato sauce. Kompot to drink.

Food / Panga Fish (available in Polish stores); I'll never eat it again. Alternative? [68]

Alternative is any marine fish which spends its life in open waters.

Here, my fish dishes with the main ingredient cooked over steam and served clean without any dressings or sauces coz they make fishbones hard to find. It doesn`t look very appetising but the taste is OK.

Life / What do Poles really think about cats? [470]

On hot days, Devil likes cooling himself on cold tiled floors.

Three cats who we currently care for need 3 separate bowls due to differing consumption rate or Devil`s greediness . It is a novelty to me coz I remember times about 10 years ago when all 3 cats happily used one bowl.

Life / The climate for gardening in Poland [340]

cherries and grapes were abundant, while mini kiwis are scarce

When it comes to fruit.
As for veg, tomatoes and potatoes were excellent, while beetroots very mediocre.

There were so many tomatoes I had to eat them for every meal, day by day.
