History / Recommended Poland's history books [257]

I think

You missed the point again.
Poland's Foreign Ministry said the two nations "have come to an agreement that it is good for young people to learn about all aspects of Jewish, Israeli and Polish history, not limited to the Holocaust.."

You should have read the whole article before you posted what you think.

History / Recommended Poland's history books [257]

Israel's national Holocaust memorial has criticized a new agreement renewing Israeli school trips to Poland, saying it recommends a number of "problematic sites" that distort history.

Law / Noisy children outside [40]

Second, I speak ZERO polish which makes this so hard.

Learn to say and ask them, "Idź pobawić się na własnym podwórku !"
Sounds like their parents can't stand their noise either so they send them over to your place so they don't have to listen to them.

Then go tell their parents the old Polish saying, "Dzieci powinny być widoczne, ale nie słyszane."
If that doesn't work call the police and tell them that you have some orphans hanging around your residence.

Life / What to do if the neighbors is too loud? [40]

@Feniks
Normally I don't respond to guest posters like you because they are mostly sock puppet trolls causing trouble.

He is claiming the very opposite. Check his post #3.

(His post #3) Most people live in flats instead of houses.
Yes, and in post #19 he is claiming just the opposite.
His post #19) Compared to living in houses like most normal people do!

Stop trying to trash main page threads by initiating arguments.

Maybe you should heed your own advice
The truth of the matter is NOT "MOST" of the Polish people but actually about a 50/50 equal split like I posted to straighten him out, not to argue.

SEE !

About half live in houses and the other half live in live in multi-family blocks of flats.

Are we o.k. now ?

Compared to living in houses like most normal people do!

Prove me wrong but I thought that most normal people in Poland do not live in houses as you claim.
About half live in houses and the other half live in live in multi-family blocks of flats.
But since you don't live in Poland nor have you been to Poland in the last 40 years or more, it is understandable why you would 'assume' most normal people live in detached houses.

Living in multiple family flats one must understand that you have to show respect for your neighbor's space.

people prefer to live in houses.

People prefer lots of things that they can not afford and owning a house is one of them.

Life / Energy - Poland [71]

Although the age of King Coal is dead/dying,

Except it is not.
Today with all the new Global Warming laws, demand for coal is at an all-time high.
Poland is still burning lots of coal.
The U.S. is the biggest loser by closing most of our coal energy plants and coal mines to go green.
Somebody isn't paying attention to the GO GREAN agenda while they prosper.
And it's not just Poland by far.

they certainly had a very full marital life.

Are you implying that you and your husband don't make loud shrieking noises when you do it ?

Does this mean the majority is blaming the minority ?

History / What should Russia and Poland do to become if not friends, then at least not enemies? [945]

Russia will never become prosperous now.

Not in our or our children's life time.
Russia should concede with a white flag and cut their losses now.
Have you seen these headlines yet ?
Russia's President Vladimir Putin could be a 'dead man walking,' a former CIA counterintelligence chief told an interviewer.

UK, Ireland / Should I worry going to Ireland as a Pole? [37]

Have you been to Ireland yet?

Joe biden is going to Ireland right after Easter.
I think he was supposed to go to Poland but got mixed up and now he is going to Ireland.
Don't be surprised if he falls down the stairs from Air Force One and yells, "Hello Warsaw !"

Life / Life in Poland - ECONOMY [43]

for veg and fruits we are paying somewhere near double from last year

Exactly my point, wages have not doubled so in essence wages buying power has gone down.
Difficult in Poland is putting it mildly, how do people in Poland make it with three or four children ?
The restaurant business is the last business I would want to own.
When you buy a restaurant you are married to it 24/7.

Life / Life in Poland - ECONOMY [43]

but wages are not dropping.

Here is what my penpal in Poznan is telling me, PolAm.
"The economy is turning around very weakly in Poland, wages are falling in real terms, and consumption is milking, you can't count on investments either, inflation is still very high and I don't see it to start falling anytime soon."

Wages have been dropping and interest rates are going up.
Poland has been experiencing a recession and now has entered a stagflationary environment.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

I see no reason to possess a firearm in Poland.

Typical Liberal mentality. "I don't want so you can't have one either."

I've probably done it rather more than you have.

(Probably is the key word there) I'll take that bet joun.
We here in America play cops and robbers and cowboy and Indians with play guns when we are kids and when we grew up, none of us have ever shot anyone.

57% out of how many? What ages? Men? Women? City or rural? These are very important information points.

Bingo !
Polls can be can be swayed very easily to get the result you want to.
Who is more likely to vote for say biden ?
1. a woman or man
2. a Democrat or Republican
3. a LBGTQ or a normal person
4. a Red State or a Blue State
5. a career welfare recipient or a union worker
6. a Black or a White person

There is not a country in the world including Poland where it's citizens would not like to own a firearms.
You don't want one then don't get one but please quit trying to vote for me.

Life / Relation in Poland to Orthodox Christians? [117]

... and yet you are ashamed to tell us its name.

More Rinse & Repeat.
No I am smart enough to know if I told you that, you would use such information to try to diminish and shame me with it.

And if not you, other members for sure would.

You are no more in position to lecture people on Christianity

Says who ?
Are you upset because I know the Bible verses better than most of the people here ?

I never agreed with any woke agenda

I was not referring to you my friend.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

And that includes 'unregistered' (i.e. illegal) firearms.

And tell us joun how they would know how many are unregistered if they are not registered ?
Bottom line is that the registry curve is going almost straight up which shows that the people of Poland have changed their minds about owning a firearm.

And this is a good thing with a war going on just across Poland's border.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

If you have better info, fine.

reddit.com/r/poland/comments/zhz8xx/13_guns_per_100_people_living_in_poland/

And that doesn't count all the unregistered guns in Poland.
Still a very low rate where guns were all confiscated not that long ago.
Point is however, just look at the chart of how gun ownership is almost going straight up.
That tells me that there has been a change of heart with the Polish people.
