Trzaskowski is also supported by the mayor of Kraków, Aleksander Miszalski , a former KO MP. "For the first time I regret that in Poland we do not have an American system in which Rafał Trzaskowski and Radek Sikorski could run together. Despite this fact, Sikorski is rocking the boat in the party to be nominated as a candidate.
That is why Mr Honourable Prime Minister Reverend Donald Holy Tusk has announced internal ballot for the party members.

I have great respect for Radek Sikorski. We are all glad that he returned to Polish politics a year ago and is a really big reinforcement of our government. However, we have been cooperating with Rafał Trzaskowski in a large group for five years and we have a deep sense that we have to finish what we started in 2020.

- With great respect for Radek Sikorski, I believe that the best solution for the Civic Coalition, but above all for Poland, is to choose a person who has been very consistently preparing for the role of the president of Poland for five years.

St. Martin's croissants were invented in 19th century to celebrate St Martin`s Day which falls on 11 Nov.

The recipe for them is not simple. Yeast puff pastry is used for baking, which is the kind that after cooling must be rolled out with butter or margarine. The croissants are stuffed with white poppy seeds mixed with orange peel, nuts, almonds and marzipan. The whole thing is covered with icing.

The 140-year-old pastry quickly gained popularity. First in Poznań and the region, and then throughout Poland. It can be bought in confectioneries, shops and supermarkets. However, only a small number of them are real St. Martin's croissants. In 2008, the croissant was recognized as a "Product with Protected Designation of Origin in the European Union". "A special certificate guaranteeing compliance with the traditional recipe is held by 94 confectioneries in Poland" - informs the portal poznań.pl.

Possible but you forgot to add that`s the result of living in Polish climate for centuries. Poles and Polesses used salt as a preservative in hot weather and fat as calorie provider in cold weather. The Irish didn`t have to worry about winters.
