Seams that this Marino_Kat came to this forum to spread lies about Polish history while seek to feel safe in Poland.
I dont think someone from Poland should interfer in this discussion between Greece and FYROM.
There was time in history when Poland was ready to defend her wider strategic interests but, at this moment, Poland isn`t ready do try again. So in the meanwhile, we Serbians disturbing the calm waters. Somebody must.
Slavs arrived in the area they live now in FYROM only in the year 600 after christ. That is a fact...... Our emperor Maurikios ended their settlements and kicked them out
Hitler wouldn`t tell it better. Not to mention that Albanians thinks the same and I see trend of Greek-Albanian strategic unity on this. See, it is grave insult to us Slavs when somebody falsifies our history and repeat western European propaganda about later arrival of Slavs in Europe.
As for your Maurikios, yes he kicked native Slavs from their native region.
My dear if you want to analyze old Eastern Roman sources (as someone named it Byzantine- what is newer term invented in last 200 years), you will see that Duka using term Thracians and Tribali when speak about Serbians.
What I want to tell you, please feel free to think of Slavs, whenever old sources speak about Sarmatians, Thracians, Dacians, Iliryans, etc. Its all about Slavs and it is grave insult to me whenever somebody stealing our history.
I heard how Greek PM Alexis Tsipras (for whom I do have respect) diplomatically speak of topic. It was on TV. He sad that in time of Alexander of Mecedon, Macedonian ethnicity wasn`t developed as it was case with Athenian ethnicity of the same period.
Sure, it wasn`t developed in that sense. Rather in some other sense. There were people that already were ethnic Greeks (like Athens) but, there was also Hellenic cultural/linguistic movement/influence that was spread much wider then it was Greek ethnicity (similar to Roman influences outside of Rome and Italy). Many non-Greeks were exposed to that influence. So, Macedonia, too. And not only Macedonia.
At the time Greeks didn't consider Macedonians to be Greek, nether consider Alexander a proper Greek.
Exactly. Bottom line is that Macedonians were Thracians/Sarmatians (ie Slavs) who were exposed to Hellenism by the Greeks. In some extent Macedonians were Hellenized. And that`s it. But, Macedonians were not ethnic Greeks. Its well known historical fact.
It means that Greeks influenced Macedonian Sarmatians (ie Slavs) but, Macedonians are right when claim their Macedonian ethnicity (because they say they are Slavs- ie Sarmatians/ie Thracians). It would be honest from the Greeks to accept that. Especially when we have in mind that nobody denies Hellenic cultural influences on Macedonians.
Also, on the other side, it would be interesting to seek out for Sarmatian/Thracian influences on Greeks. Who knows, maybe we one day found out how are Greeks themselves in fact of Thracian/Sarmatian (ie Slavic) origin and that way most directly brothers to Poles, Macedonians and Serbians. Wouldn`t that be cute.
Why are people selfish, even when comes to ancient history.
