I have dark hair and hazel eyes but the rest of my family has blonde hair blue eyes.

Polish girls rule!!! Seriously I dunno how I ended up with my GF! She's an 11 on a scale from 1-10! Beautiful face with fair skin, big round eyes and a small chin, curly brown hair and a big round butt with a thin waist! =D Polish girls r the best! Not only does she look like a model but she can cook like u wouldn't believe! =D
??? I've never met a pole with blonde hair blue eyes and I have met MANY. I've only met a few dirty blonde/light brown hair which is fairly common amount slavs.
Black/brown is the most prodiminant colour in all slavs and a lot tend to have darker features. these blonde ppl must be scandinvians or somthing

I find it interesting how many users on this forum say that poles are mostly dark haired. I travel to poland often and generally i would say that most poles' hair colours range from various shades of blonde to light-medium brown. I've noticed that many women dye their hair darker colours so maybe this is what's throwing some people off.
All Polish people are privelaged to be Polish, we are all apart of a beautiful pure race.
I am from Canada and im 50% Polish and I believe Poland has one of the best looking people in the world. I am going to Poland July 7, 2008 for the summer again, I love it.

Pure race? There is no such thing anymore!
You must be American that is the most stupid question I have ever read! I'm still laughing! Do you know where Poland is? South of California ha ha...? I have brown hair and brown eyes I come from the South there is a difference. Are all Americans fat? Stupid and live in trailer parks?
I don't have blonde hair :) I do have olive green eyes (although they can change). When I was born I had dark curly hair with blue eyes. As I got older; my hair went lighter and straight. My eyes became more green. Now I have wavy, medium brown hair with olive green. I take it after my father (who got dark wavy/curly hair, green eyes, tan all summer like some Italian or Greek guy)...my mom does have blonde, blue eyes :) sometime people mistaken her for Russian. I got family members with dark brown, brown eyes (almost half of my family) and the rest light hair colour, coloured eyes).
my Ex husband is Polish and he has dark brown hair and blue eyes and his father I think had brown eyes. people from maybe near the german border of Poland might have blonde hair and blue eyes

of course it's not true that all Poles are blond and have blue eyes... i'm blond but my eyes are grey/green and sometimes blue...
i was thinking about my Polish friends and i can't think of any guy who is blond.... more dark brown... i have more blond female friends, but also with dark brown, black hair and olive skin...
so it's a rule which isn't really popular... ;P

I gotta say. I really love these Slavic girls with Dark hair and blonde eyes!!!
Polish people have blue eyes and blond hair. In Poland lived Ormians and other minorities from them polish people have probably brown eyes. But greater part people of my surronding have blue or grey eyes.
Why do I never see any then!
You must mistake Poles for Italians, DomP ;)
or polish gyspy
Ok. Seriously, all the Poles I know except a small few have brown/black hair. Everywhere I look, I look on Polish TV, they all have brown/black hair unless dyed.
I know this is just one example but here:
I don't see any blondes?
I look at my family. some are dark some are paler but we all have dark hair. I look at the Polish communities, all dark hair and when I go to Poland. Same!

Yes, you must go to Poland. Maybe your family has other root besides polish. Link doesn't work.
I have been to Poland 3 times
I live in Poland and this strange for me what you said. And I think that you are not Pole.
Whatever you say. Sorry I am actually gypsie and the hundreds of Poles I know are gypsies too!
I live in the US and just because I have porcelain skin blonde hair and blue eyes I get alot of stupid comments about how " Wow you must be polish" I mean wth. Pathetic isnt it.
And you're not Polish ?... If not, then you should rather feel honoured to look like one ;) Hehe.
Many American girls have blue eyes and blonde hair I think
except for Native Americans. :)
except for Native Americans
Yeah and Hispanics, and Asians, and Hawaians, and Italians... ;)
America is a big country to state the obvious
im a blonde hair blue eyed person, I have polish in me :)

Varsovian you are posting totally not scientificlly base information.
Recent years have seen the publication of a plethora of genetic reports dealing with the Polish population. As a result we now have a fair idea about the Poles' genetic structure and position in Europe. In many ways these studies have challenged traditional anthropological and historical research on Poland, which often claimed the Poles to be strongly mixed with a variety of ethnic groups that have migrated to the region over the centuries.
In a nutshell, the Poles appear to be typical northern Europeans genetically. They generally cluster with the other Indo-European speakers of the region, and show differenecs from Finno-Ugrian and southern European populations. Foreign influences on the Polish genetic pool, both from different parts of Europe, as well as from outside of Europe, appear to have been minor.
