Do Polish people have big noses?

Maybe someone can explain what this has got to go with my previous post, because I've got no idea! lol

no wonder women have such large noses.

finally!! someone who has the exact same problem/thought as me!! my nose is almost identical to yours!! it looks bad from the side....but ok from the front...its the only thing im self-consicous about!!! it runs on my mom's side of the family...my mom, my older sister, and i all have the same nose...we call it the Kinser Bump...but we're also czech...lol =)

I'm half Polish and I would say my nose is larger than normal, It's a little long and there is a little bump in it, but I think I gave that to mself by walking into stuff haha. Well, I looked up characteristic traits of polish people online and they do have some what larger noses then most, but now I know =)

I am Polish and I will say, without a doubt, that all Polish men are handsome and all Polish women are beautiful..................so are their noses.

That depends only on what you prefer. Fortunately people have different preferences.

This is true, what is big or small is a matter of personal perspective. It really doesn't matter. The answer to the question is yes - some do and some don't. But aren't there more important things other than whether the Polish have big noses? This thought has never even entered my mind.

I'm 75% Polish too and i'm super self conscious about my nose. I swear the base is wider than it should be. But hey, it's not something to really worry about too much

You have not seen large noses like so many have here in the Philippines. Most ladies no matter how beautiful they may be are extremely conscious about their noses being too big. Being a Pole/American Inever imagined I could find such topic here on noses! I think there is not such thing as Polish have big noses...some have and some don't. But in Asia most have.

I have lived and travelled among many asian countries, and never seen a big nose..the biggest are in south-east europe (Greece, italy, bulgaria, Spain, and the balkaans)

Many do, some don't ;) ;) Relative to other nations, very much so. Just look at the recent photo of Pudzian squaring up with Najman. Look around cities and you'll see many examples of pinocchio :)

Well considering the chinese have no nose apart from a flat face its not so shocking lol.

Poles aren't known for having exceptionally big noses, but what they do have are FLAT HEADS, and most of them are completely unaware if this, so before you get upset at this comment, let somebody take a profile photograph of you. A vast majority of poles (both men and women) have completely flat heads at the back, next time you meet a polish person, do have a look. Women can hide it with different hairstyles, but that's only until they tie it up in a pony tail........

Well, some have, some don't. There's a particular unique nose type that makes me think "ah, that person might be Polish" - google actress Pola Anton - but that doesn't seem to be the most typical Polish nose, though - mostly the nose doesn't stand out that much.

This is because most are a mix with the Dinarid sub-race of the European race .... (most dinarids are found in South Tyrol, Austria, Slovenia, Balkans, generally meditarrenean)

This also explains the big nose, Dinarids have the longest , biggest hook noses out there .

Asians have ugly noses - flattened, wide , with the contrast of their light skin this looks ugly, especially if it is a European mixed with mongoloid-read East-Baltid - and the extreme form of that which is the Lappid( thos people commonly referred to as eskimos who inhabite northern Norway, finland and Russia , and alot of them mixed with Russians and Baltic peoples)

Negroids have flat noses, but it suits the color of their skin and skull type, looks alot more harmonic seeing a person from Botswana then some fisherman from Finland.

that said, most of yall would claim to be not racist, yet you stereotype and prejudge people based on their racial makeup, and even worse purely on the basis of what passport/nationality they happen to posses - damn, you're more ignorant than Himmler.

That being said, it is a Western thing, just look at the movies and advertisements - its always the Nordic (or a person of a sub-race mixed with the Nordic subrace) that is considered the most 'beautiful' , 'aristocratic', 'sophisticated'.

Do Polski usually have long noses?

My dad always said to me that Poles have long fleshy noses but that I don't have one. Is this true or just some silly fable he made up? I do think it is somewhat accurate.

You will find people with a flat head everywhere in Europe. you find more of them to the south then to the north because scandinavia and great britain was more isolated and didn't mix so much like they did in the european continent.

I know it sounds funny but that reminds me of a weird retarded black girl from my elementary school. She would go around touching the tops of heads of the white kids and ask, "Why do all white people have flat heads?"

Seanus i'm getting the idea that you like this thread and this is all amusing you, many Polish people have small noses, u said you live in Silesia that's mostly ethnic Silesians and Germans over there. I saw many Brits with long big noses, Germans too, i think thats a European thing, Asians describe Europeans as tall men with long noses and long heads. Many Eastern Europeans have small noses with the tip upwards, like an Oriental person, that might be from admixture with Mongols or Tatats or some other people who invaded Europe over the centuries, the high cheekbones flat faces, square heads are a further proof.

It's all a bit of a joke. I have seen quite a lot but many have normal noses too :)

Not necessarily an oriental trait, I've seen Western Europeans with a slightly inward curving nose that don't look like they could have mongoloid. Northern European people can have very delicate facial bones too, a slightly concave or convex nose can be caused by the bone wearing away. No joke that's what some expert racial anthropologist told me.

Germanic nose is symmetric.Slavic nose is a huge issue very variable.

in every population there is genetic variability. Whether u have a small or big nose depends a lot on your inherited traits.....somehow i doubt a big nose is genetically dominant over a small nose
