Korosick, a wrong village name?

Good morning!
I'm doing the genealogical study of a non polish family, and in one of the documents of an ancestor it says that he was born in 1925 in a place called Korosick (Poland). I've been searching and I can't find any physical place with this name, so maybe it was a transcription or transliteration error. I wonder if any of you would have an idea of which municipality it can refer to, or if it exists perhaps from 1925 to the present it has changed due to the change in borders. Any help or idea is welcome. Thanks a lot!

Do you have the original handwritten text? That might help a lot.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to remember if Korosten (Korosteń) was ever Polish territory or part of 'Russian Poland' There was certainly a significant Polish and Jewish population there once and there are Polish speakers in the region even now. It's not a village though, it's a decent-sized town.

There are plenty of villages in Poland though that begin with the letters Kom....

The original document (just photo the word if the rest is sensitive) really would help here.

Hi Jon, thanks a lot for your reply. Other information I have is that he arrived as an immigrant to Argentina in 1929 with the ship called Andes. I don't know if there is a list of the migrants who were on board each ship in this case.

It does look like Korosick, doesn't it. There are a few other possibilities though, and I expect there'll be some suggestions appearing today.

There's a Korosica (not in PL though) and a Korowicz (which is very small). Also a Kotowicz. Plus maybe some other similar places.

I've stumbled upon a page where somebody mensioned a town named Karosiek - supposedly close to Plock, Poland, but I haven't found this name anywhere else.

Karosiek

Thanks! This is interesting. Maybe Korosick is Karosiek?

There's a surname Konosicka. I wonder if it's a toponym from Konosick.
