I am hoping to find a woman in Warsaw but I need a little help...

Hello,
I am from the United States. I will make a long story short as I am not sure if this is an appropriate forum for what I need help with...

I am trying to locate a woman I dated back in 2004. She was working in Nevada (United States) back in 2004 with a work visa. Her name is: Magdalena Palys. She is either 30 or 31 I believe. I have her physical address/ two phone numbers/and her email address.

We dated that summer but when she went back to Poland we lost contact. She has been on my mind lately and I would love to hear about her and catch up.

I understand, that my chances of finding her/or talking with her are pretty slim. I was unable to find her through any social media sites.

I suppose the help I am looking for is: if someone lives close to her address, that person would be able to visit her address to see if she lives there still or her family? Another request, is for a person to call the number I have. It is a number from Poland. It is: 22-672-11xx....I can PM someone all the info I have. I am sure no one appreciates their info on the Internet and respect personal information.

Lastly, thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope someone is available to help me find this woman. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...This woman is truly a sweetheart. I do not know if she is married...? In a relationship? Regardless, I have to try to find her/contact her as she was a great find as well.

Please respond or private message me if you think you can help or perhaps if have some suggestions? Thank you....

*Note* I understand everyone is busy. The world is a busy place. It doesn't matter if you live in Turkey or China. If you have Internet, chances are you have minimal free time. I mention this because if you do help I am more than willing to send you something from the United States. Perhaps a souvenir of some sort? I am open to whatever you think would be adequate to compensate for your time. If anything, In the name of Love..? :)

Matt, whilst your quest is very sweet and touching, I must say that the chances of her still being single are almost nil. Polish women still tend to marry quite young and start a family before the age of thirty.

I was unable to find her through any social media sites.

Quite possibly because she now goes under a married name.
However, on the positive side, if you have her address from all those years ago and it was her family home, then the chances are her family/parents still live there. Why don't you send a letter there and see what happens. Be sure to send it by registered post or courier as the Polish postal system is notoriously unreliable.

Or you could try the email address. I have a Polish friend, she's 28 now and she's had the same email address since she was a teenager even though she's since married and changed her name.

Atch,

Thank you for your response. Perhaps she is married. Nonetheless, she was/is a very amazing woman. At a minimum, I'd love to find her in hopes of just renewing an old friendship.

We sent one another emails probably seven years ago...? However, I did not receive a response in which I assume she no longer checks her old email account.

You mention "registered post" as in UPS or FedEx? Thank you again...

Hello,
Happened to come across your post and being an occasional user of the Nasza Klasa (Our Class) social portal I ventured to search for the person you mentioned.

The query I submitted is specific to Polish language as women in Poland tend to use diminutive forms of their first names. So not only did I search for Magdalena P... as you specified but also queried for Magda P...

Yet I didn't try the more diminutives as Madzia, Magdusia, Magdalenka or others as they seem childish at least.

In the end the search yielded a couple of persons matching the query. One of them is 34 and married now and lives in Katowice.

However, she might not be the one you're after, so if you'd like to narrow down the criteria you could always send me more of her personal details in a PM.

Hope that helped a bit at least.

Sorry Matt I don't know what it's called in the States. In the British Isles the post office provides a track and trace option for letters and then it's signed for on delivery, so whatever your equivalent is in America. Or of course some courier service like DHL can be used.

visit her address to see if she lives there still or her family?

This wouldn't go down too well in Poland! Not in my opinion anyway. Poles are quite suspicious of strangers and somebody turning up on their doorstep with enquiries of that kind would get a pretty cool reception. I doubt that they would give any information even if they had it. A letter is your best bet.

Thank you both for your responses. I am not accustomed to the culture at all in Poland and what is socially acceptable or not...haha..

@ Gshegosh, I am not familiar with Nasza Klasa. Is that similar to Facebook? Or is it just an online people search engine? I sent you some specific information...

I will send a letter...I do know she did travel quite a bit but she was to begin her studies there in Warsaw back in 2005 and then onto Law school. She has a grandmother in Kraków, I believe her brothers name is Chris or Thomas I think and her father was a pilot...

Yep, Nasza Klasa is Poland's answer to Facebook :). Regretfully, it doesn't have any English language interface AFAIK.

The details you gave in the last post exclude all potential candidates I found as based on the first name variations and the family name. BTW I checked all the possibilities as far the Polish spelling is concerned, so I gave it a try to Magdalena, Magda - Palys, Pałys, Palyś and Pałyś (mind the Polish diacritics).

None of the finds, however, has any info on attending a law school - not all people submit their schooling history, relatives' names, etc. At least on the publicly accessible "walls" there.

So I think it's a no-go for you.

You mentioned that you got a hold on her phone number. The prefix suggests it's a Warsaw-area fixed lines phone number. I could call this number up for you if you tipped me what I should say.

You also wrote you have her e-mail address. Why not dropping her a line yourself this way?

I know a woman, who is now 36, lives in Warsaw and her name is Magdalena Pałys. I also know that she lived in US for a while during her studies. I know, where she lives and what is her e-mail adress. Furthermore, i know her telephone number, but id rather not write it here ,in Public.

I wanted to help this @Matt Guy. I came cross this post accidentally. I'm sure he's writing about the woman I know, but it seems he had found her already... It was in 2016, so there's a big chance he did.

Oh, I see. You didn`t quote anybody so I thought you made a random post which looked a bit out of place, out of time to me.

You registered the account. How about joining us in our other discussion here? :):) But you need to be a tough guy/person to bear it. hahaha

Magdalena Pałys

Doesn't she work at "Szlachta baluje, plebs haruje"?

Some people write it in Worplace section and later it turns out they are shop assistants in second-hand clothes shop. :)
