larger fish

they are mammals

Most whales feed on plankton rather than fish, and thus they have far lower levels of mercury

yep that seems to be the explanation

I said dolphins as well aslarger fish.

ok sorry.

If you eat a can of tuna once in while, it's OK, very healthy. But if you eat a can of tuna every day, you eventually get sick.

What's the problem about this whale stuff... Aren't we talking about pet's ---> food? Who has a whale as a pet? Come on! :)

(besides whale catching gives money so (censored) you all)

I would maybe have certain negative associations with food being made out of a dog infront of me (I would only think of my dogs) and if somebody would touch my dogs (like the police) they will taste my.... hidden powers!

Who has a whale as a pet?

There's one asleep at the end of my bed as we speak.

infront of me

That's the thing really - sentimentality and how we view a particular animal.

I mean a real whale! Not a fantasy or a ... teddy like thing

That's the thing really - sentimentality and how we view a particular animal.

indeed
Also the appearance! I don't have any sentiments towards Spiders but I wouldn't eat one...
and it's not per say disgusting like a snail

I'd give it a go maybe! Any hairyness might put me off a bit though.

disgusting like a snail

If you are talking about appearance there are things that look far worse than snails IMO - prawns for example?

As for taste, the snails I've had were lovely anyway : )

Jakub Pham is a Pole, but his parents come from Vietnam. Every country has its customs; he eats cat and dog's meat.

What kind of bullsh.t is this? He should be expelled from the country. Dogs are not snacks. That's not a custom.. you find some other protein you spastic gook! And I will tell that IsThatMyAss limey to screw off in advance as he's going to have some sermon on the My Lai Massacre or something. I don't want to hear and leave the pups alone.

Now, which are you more likely to choose to eat if you had to choose?

  • Jeff the Calf?

  • Ronnie Coleman's dog?

I would not be against eating any dead animal per se but I would be more concerned about the animal's life than when it's dead.
Have you seen how factory hens live? now that is cruel.

Exactly!

They are to be killed anyway.

Why? Because we are so called "thinking creatures" aka. "humans" and we must eat everything we see on our way? Maybe if we would stop and think just a little bit, our asses wouldn't be so huge and our brains so small.

Not everything, just the things we want and that are edible!

Maybe if we would stop and think just a little bit, our asses wouldn't be so huge and our brains so small.

I don't have a problem with weight, I exercise. Are you American by the way?

The body builder?

Yup. Just... look at the dog! :)
Ronnie got it from Dorian Yates.

Yes, everything. If they would grow or make other edible things, people would eat them too.

Well, that's how it works! We eat, then we poop.
Do you suggest eating plants only then?
Plants have feelings and dignity too you know:D
Recently for example I didn't say hello to my carnation and it was angry at me for almost whole week. I would never think of eating its friends and family - the grass. I think I'll go and starve or feed meself with outer space energy...

he eats cat and dog's meat.
He heard about the closing of an animal shelter in Celestynowo, and got an idea of openning a restaurant in Poland, which serves our pets' meat.

It's their custome in Vietnam. I would never do it, but if they do it, who am I to judge. If Poland has laws stopping this sort of thing, then this dude cannot go through with his plan. If there are no laws, he should be allowed to open his restaraunt.

Do you think Poles would be his costumers? Or just Asians?

Most likely, Asians.
I hope he is honest about what is going into his meals, too. I wouldn't want to go someplace, thinking I am eating pork and have it be a dog or a cat. That's another thing that concerns me about this. Product mislabeling. If he can do it, who knows who else is doing it.

Whales are magnificent creatures. Does anyone really need money that much?

We need it's oil and sometimes meat

Also it's a thrill to kill such a giant creature! ;)

I'd give it a go maybe!

LOCO II

we must eat everything we see on our way?

goats eat everything ;)

thinking I am eating pork and have it be a dog or a cat.

dogs eat their own poop. so if you want that extra zing in your diet,, lol go for it.

Most likely, Asians.

A few perhaps, but the whole thing sounds like an advertising gimmick for his restaurant. I doubt he'll sell much cat or dog, except to the occasional Pole who's thrill seeking, if at all.

I hope he is honest about what is going into his meals, too. I wouldn't want to go someplace, thinking I am eating pork and have it be a dog or a cat. That's another thing that concerns me about this. Product mislabeling. If he can do it, who knows who else is doing it.

Yes. there was a problem a few years ago near Piaseczno, very well publicised at the time. A place who supply Sajgonki to Vietnamese bars were using cat and dog. They were prosecuted for it.

dogs eat their own poop. so if you want that extra zing in your diet,, lol go for it.

As good a reason as any to avoid it!

Why? Because we are so called "thinking creatures" aka. "humans" and we must eat everything we see on our way? Maybe if we would stop and think just a little bit, our asses wouldn't be so huge and our brains so small.

Why? Because no one thinks that they are worth adopting, and the shelter is going to kill them. You don't want them, I don't want them, no one wants them except this Vietnamese guy who wants to do something useful with the meat and probably won't be able to.

That's why they're to be killed, no one wants them.

I think half of animals do this. And few dogs actually eat it - I had a few dogs in my life an none of them did this. Sure they sniffed it but never licked or eat. Smelling poop is like a landmark to them if you didn't know.

That's why they're to be killed, no one wants them.

This is the aftermath of "animal lovers" - take a pet, never do a crual thing like sterilizing them and there you have dozens of stray cats and mixed race ugly dogs of "pimpek" type. How stupid. I wouldn't agree entirely that they should be eaten;) but it was nice to read all the "animal lovers" and vegetarians' posts rambling on how inhumane this is, real fun.
