It has to be the worst tasting beer Ive had in years!

Was the one you tried made in Poland?

Well, it is different, but I like it.

Do they have Perła there. It's from Lublin and OK.

Perhaps you got a duff bottle of Żubr? Usually it's a typical Polish beer, not much different from the other main brands.

I suppose, anything is possible. My friend from Poland drank 2 of them and he liked it. The beer seemed kind of dark for a lager and I typically dont like the heavy beers.

Ill give it a try next time.

It claims to be a product of Poland on the label.

I dont think its processed in the USA like Guinness is. It tastes great in Ireland but over here its horrible.

It's the same with the French beer, Kronenburg,the one made in France is great, the one made in the UK is just not the same.

Maybe something to do with the water used.

Was it a special edition of Zubr? Maybe a porter?

Zubr dark lager is from Czech Rep. and not Poland.

@Alien

That is true but Joker posted a photo and the ones he bought were the Polish ones.

Yes, I see. Is there any expiration date for beer in US?

@Alien

I don't know but I think that Joker just didn't like the taste of it.
Unlike Jon 357, I think Zubr tastes very different from most Polish beers.
It has a heavier and richer flavour.
Maybe that's why I like it, because I am used to British beers.

For me is Polish beer too strong. Czech beer ( svetle pivo ) is not so strong and better. But I am more wine drinker then beer.

It did once for me, but changed in about 2001 or 2002.

The best I've had is Żywiec Szampanskie (a special edition) and the worst was an obscure brand that was very bad and cheaper even than Goolman which was pretty foul and isn't produced any more as far as I know. By choice, I buy Żubr or Tyskie. Tatra is OK for a cheaper brand I find, as is Harnaś.

Have you tried Lwowskie? We buy that and hope it is still in production.

too strong

Lech always seems lighter though I've not looked at the percentage.

Żubr 6% alk.
Budweiser swetle pivo 4% alk. (my favorite).
Budweiser lager 5% alk.
