After they saw Polish ads in which Germans revel with Tyskie in their hands. That phenomenon is called autosuggestion.

Why? I've tried it a few times and gotten terrible headaches each time (before I'm done with the first bottle) yikes, nasty stuff....

Why? I don't know why, perhaps because it was sold on Star/Orlen petrol stations in Germany.

Tyskie beer

I would drink Zywiec or Okocim before the Tyskie headache water. I think Germany has better beer the Poland, but cant touch them when it comes to Vodka.

Stay away from a beer named "LECH" as well. Its brewed through a horse! Haha

I like Stella Artois from Belgium:)

That is a nasty beer too.

My favourite Polish beer is Zubr.

Yes it does.

Zubr is Polish for Bison.

All the shops around where I live sell a very large selection of Polish beers and some wodkas too.

Zubr

That used to be good until about 15 or so years ago when they changed the recipe.

Now it just tastes like any other mainstream beer in PL.

Its really cheap over here.

How much is 12 pack Bud in comparison? When I stayed in the US, the cheapest imported beer was always more expensive than Budweiser.

Budweiser

That is a really sh1t beer.
No comparison to the proper Czech one.

A 12 pack of nasty Budweiser is about $12... Stella Artois and most imports are about $16 well worth the extra money.

Beer in Germany is cheaper. German beer 0.5 Euro for 0.5l, import beer 0.8 Euro Tyskie, 1.0 Euro Heineken for 0.5 l. Beer is a staple food in Germany.

Beer is a staple food in Germany.

I worked with a few German exhibitors at the machine tool convention center in Chicago. During our break time they had a keg of beer in their office and would have a few everyday. I never seen them drunk. They said the same thing about being a staple..lol

Union regulation prohibits employees "me" from drinking during business hours:(

No comparison to the proper Czech one.

I like Belgium more...... Ill look for the Zubr later..

The one I buy comes from Podalsie.

The one I buy comes from Podlasie

As I recall the Doilidy brewery in Bialystok. Before about 2002 it was much better but they changed the recipe because they wanted a 'modern' beer, identical to all the others. The old one reminded me a bit of Double Diamond, an English beer that I still miss.

Double Diamond

Blimey!

That brings back memories!!

I can remember when it was 19p a pint in the pub!

Czechvar is not Polish. never seen bevor, but with Budweiser layout.

It was the only Czech beer they had at the store. Ill probably stick with the Zwyiec since its been my favorite so far.

As I know there are USA-Budweiser and Czech-Budweiser. Probably Czech-Budweiser in USA must be "rebranded" to Czechvar.

In the past I drunk quite aot of Warka.
Perla is supposed to be good
jon357 74 | 22,054

Perla is nice, however I don't feel much difference between one Polish beer and the next. They all seem very similar unless it's craft beers which I'm not bothered for.

I have similar feelings about all lagers, both Polish and imported.

Me too, though I still drink them. I've never understood why some people don't like Królewskie. It just seems like the others.

Żywiec Szampańskie, that special edition, was nice though.

Zubr is Polish for Bison.

I waited all week and toady I opened an ice cold Zubr poured into a frosty mug and........

It has to be the worst tasting beer Ive had in years! I poured 1/2 down the drain it was that bad.
